I started my Presley collection as a 16 year old in Brooklyn 1977...would eventually have over 200 records reissues and original pressing including 45 rpm’s

Cup of tea on a Sunday morning and enjoying your good company. You’re always gonna get em Scotty. The closer you get to understanding Elvis the man the more you can see through his eyes. Of course we’ll never 100% know because our boy isn’t here but as you say, if there are bits you disagree with, just move on - simples! Cheers buddy 🤴🏻⚡️🎼
Love the way you turn the music up every now and again for a quick blast of Elvis and then turn the volume down again and carry on talking. It's a nice touch. Thank you for another fantastic video
i whas in the army for three years and i whas also a few times in germany i could imagine how elvis felt leaving your girl and mother behind it would realy give you the g.i. blues.thanks again for this beautiful video TCB
Elvis In GI Blues! love listen this album FTD love film one of my favorites album like say thankyou Scotty take time do great video keep all us elvis fans happy true me this from my heart TCB forever
Great soundtrack ...his vocals were never better ...my fave pocketful of rainbows....he sang wooden heart live in 75 n dedicated it to Lisa who was in the crowd ...the only time he sang it live...lovin all the info .👍😊
These reviews are Scott’s alone unless I appear as a guest ! The through his eyes series is a collaboration..I write Scott produces the videos...thanks for your support Suzy means a lot
Wonderful , I Love "TONIGHT's SO RIGHT (For Love)" the Best from that soundtrack , then "TONIGHT's ALL RIGHT (For Love) +++ POCKETFUL OF RAINBOWS +++ SHOPPIN' AROUND +++ DOIN' THE BEST THAT I CAN +++ WHAT's SHE REALLY LIKE +++ WOODEN HEART ++++++++++++++++
Wow Scotty another fantastic history lesson on GI blues and loved the information on the recording sessions interesting facts I knew nothing about. I love the movie and soundtrack and always thought he and his leading lady Juliet Prowse had great chemistry on screen and by the sounds of it off screen as well love those stories you read out of the book from the Memphis Mafia
I love the way you love Elvis and are so respectful. It really relaxes me. You talk about Elvis stories & trivia and sometimes I already know it. But then you add a story or information about a record and I get such a kick out of it. Don’t pay attention to naysayers, because they love to go around the internet and rile people up. I read and pay attention to optimistic comments and just Mute or block anyone who gets too nasty. It’s your channel & if someone doesn’t like a part of it, there are nice ways to mention it. What a voice he has. It’s like gold! Michael Buble ’ once said of Elvis that “his throat was kissed by God”. We’ve all had a year of those days, haven’t we? Keep it going. See ya next time. 😷😷👍🏻🕺🏼🕺🏼🎸😂🌼 Stay safe.
Hey Jeri.. That’s a great quote from Buble.. I’ve used that once or twice Thankyou for your support.. I’m slowly weeding out the negative people.. It doesn’t affect me only in the fact that I don’t know what they want.. I try to appeal to everyone It don’t matter..some people don’t even like Elvis....HOW CAN THAT BE!!😂😂
I found the “perfect Elvis channel”!! All of us “oldies but goodies originals” know exactly what I’m talking about...my “ G. I blues on vinyl” is always within reaching distance...Elvis’s interactions with children are so poignant....”happy Valentine’s Day Elvis “ and the same to you Scotty...this video went straight to my ❤️, and “Cupid’s arrow “ has been stuck there ever since....😍❤️🕺💕🎶😉
Fantastic! GI Blues was my first Elvis album. Get it when I was 4 years old 1960. My first Elvis record was an EP Good Rockin' Tonight in 1959. Elvis is and will always be The King👑. Keep up the good work😊👍🎶
I fell in love with Juliet Prouse as a 8 year old when I saw the movie. I could stay and watch it twice in those double feature days. A brilliant soundtrack. Thanks as always.
David: It's always been surprising to me that she didn't have a bigger screen career. She was internationally famous and had the backing of Sinatra. But she didn't have much of a movie career and her only TV series didn't do well. She was also repeatedly dubbed for even though she could, obviously, sing based on a long night club career. I guess she'll always be best known as singing on the Las Vegas Hilton when a fatal fire broke out.
Another great review Scotty, as always. Indeed GI Blues was one of the better soundtracks Elvis made. I'm always stunned about the background information you are giving us. There's a lot of work prior to this. Scotty, we Elvis Fans appreciate this very much. There's no other channel that gives us so much useful information about the chosen subject. You are doing a wonderful job and i hope it may last for a long time. Keep healthy and keep up the good work.
This 30 minutes flew by, wonderful as always. Great pictures and stories, Elvis looks great in uniform, he was proud of being a regular GI. As for Juliet Prouse, she was quite a dancer/looker.
Brilliant vid Scotty . Love the movie and the FTD treatment of the recordings . So many great songs and his voice was so good in that time period. He imitates Dean Martin on one of the outtakes ; one of his singing heroes for sure . It's really was a great period in his career kinda of on the back of his army career . His army years are captivating and I have a request , please can you do an army years special , where he stayed during his service , the songs he liked to sing (private recordings ) anything you can dig up around those interesting years , Cilla , the ELVIS IS BACK return and the more mature Elvis etc . Just a few suggestions ...friend of mine said he stayed in private accomodation and I mentioned his granny I think it was who stayed there to cook for him , stuff like that is interesting ...just an idea Scott , you'd do a very interesting documentary on it for sure , Thanks and TCB bud ....
I'm thinking it was Private Parker's idea, in his capacity as "technical advisor", to have Elvis sing to babies and puppets, to widen his appeal. What a shame that instead of singing the classic Wooden Heart to Juliet Prowse, they had him sing it to a puppet.
Have a lot of affection for this movie...Elvis exudes charm boy...he looked magnificent. Perhaps not the movie he wanted to do on his release, considered a bit Lightweight. But it is the best of that genre he was shoehorned into with the exception perhaps of blue Hawaii.. The soundtrack stands up against any other soundtrack of his career...and has a European flavour. And his voice is simply magnificent. I like your reviews, you do not take yourself too seriously just like your hero..you entertain. You have developed a relaxed style that’s like visiting an old friend. Well done excellent review.
ELVIS CONTRACENAVA DE TODO JEITO E MARAVILHOSO! TENHO TODOS FILMES E ASSISTO MESMO! FAZ BEM E AO CONTRÁRIO DOS DOENTIOS FILMES DE HOJE, ALIVIAM, ALEGRAM E ENCANTAM!!!
Yep...sang it and played “Daddy Big Boots” to my little son too when he was going to sleep at night of course! Parking my watch there and will continue the rest tomorrow. Lovin it! 🤴🏻⚡️🎼
What a beautiful voice Elvis had.there will never be another like him.i loved his movie g I blues.thank you Scotty and Craig for bringing back those good memories.god bless you both
Another cracking video Scott! Absolutely love your presentation and the information you impart. You are a true fan and that shines through. Don't let the odd wally upset you, to be honest mate they're probably jealous as you're doing such a great job. Keep it up, the real fans love it!
I just discovered your channel! Am enjoying it very much & have shared it with other Elvis friends.....Am a long time fan who saw Elvis in person many many many times! In Vegas from the front stage seat & I concert. Got kisses & scarfs & now belong to Elvis fan Clubs & Made friends all around the World. Keep up the good Work! Elvis. The gift that keeps on giving.... brings his fans together from all over!! Love it.
Awesome video mate! As far as I'm concerned , maybe your best to date. There is a good reason for that, G.I Blues has always been my favourite Elvis movie and really the soundtrack was my starting point with The King, given to me as it was, Christmas 1977. Great stories Scotty from a very busy 1960. Thank you. Glad you've returned to that time period but looking forward to MSG!! TCB Always.
I was sorry to hear tell of some troll like remarks you receive. It beggars belief someone would tune in to your Elvis videos just to be vindictive. I hope you do not take the fools to heart. 👑.
No David..I just don’t know as a fan what they want to see.. I try and offer a bit of everything.. While obviously I’m not going to appeal to everyone but rudeness I won’t accept But then I’ve got many many great ones like you Thankyou 😊⚡️
Oh Scotty, I just love everything you do, you really do all your research very good. I really appreciate everything you do keep up all the hard and good work. Thank you.
Hi Scotty my dear friend :) how are you ? what a beautiful and very informative review , 1960 what a great vocals , im a huge for the 1960-1964 Elvis vocals :) , Love the G.I, blues LP , i also have lots of copies , love the art work, colors and all, my very favorite song from it is: Pocketfull of Rainbows the 1st openning of side 2 , what a great romantic song, and that Juliet ...Mmmmm....shes HOT , i have a soft spot for red head girls...hahah ;) maybe one day ill find my girl and ill take her to a cable railway and will sing her that song....Love those 2 FTDs releases, Brilliant, thank you so much, TCB , Your friend, Lior
Merci Scotty. See you later . Very good job. RIP ELVIS. FRANCE.
Another GREAT one, Scotty 👍. If you did this on full time basis - I would for sure watch it on my full time 😄😄😄. Thanks a lot for interesting info in a nice Episode ‼️. Keep on rockin’ 🕺
Add millions of people out there Elvis or King that loves you like I do and we will never forget you you are and our heart and then my soul like I've been knowing you all these years and never laid eyes on you
Wonderful, my very first Elvis album bought, my joint best every album and movie shared with Blue Hawaii, happy memories for me and my first days of Elvis fandom! Brilliant thanks my friend! Cheers!

Very cool video. G.I. Blues was my favorite movie. Awesome songs. Love to hear Elvis stories. You playing Elvis music in your videos is so cool. Keep up the great videos. Do you have the original speedway album ?
G.I. Blues always one of my favorites Scott. Great choice this week my friend. Super happy you have your receiver back. Looks and sounds great. Still watching....lol Finished watching. Wouldn't be to concerned about the negative people Scott. You have the best heart for this. Bet those people haven't a clue. Nobodies perfect, that would include Elvis. Elvis had the perfect vouce.
Great information yet again. Love the Gi Blues album and film. Elvis vocals are top notch On all the tracks. Great song to finish on. Thanks again for all the hard work that you do, doing these videos appreciate it.
Great Video Sir. First time watching you and I'm a huge Elvis fan. As for the negative comments, please pay no attention to them. Some ppl are miserable and couldn't be happy if they tried. I subscribed and I'll be looking forward to more Elvis stories in the future. Thanks and have a great day!
I very much enjoyed your GI Blues (part 1) presentation. I've always thought "Tonight is so right for love" to be a very underrated Elvis song. I think it's superb just listen to the very last note when he sings "Love". Enrico Caruso couldn't have sung it better. Talking of Caruso, I believe Elvis didn't hold the last note of "It's Now or Never" as he felt he could never sing the last note as well as old Enrico. Thanks for a most enjoyable video. Caruso sang it as O Solo Mio of course.
Hi Neill.. He certainly sang it incredibly I believe this along with Surrender really show of his vocal skills almost merging to semi operatic.. I’d have loved for him to have sung more in this style as I think he was such a versatile vocalist beyond compare Thankyou 😊😉⚡️
Well !!!!! I loved this on G I Blues, it’s my favourite movie and of course the album. The first time I heard “Wooden Heart” that was it, loved all the songs, and could not wait to see the movie. I also have Cafe Europa album, thanks Scotty, a great show !!!!
Hey Scotty, Great video as always. Awesome behind the scenes commentary, leaned a lot! I love G.I. Blues, have both CD & Film, his songs hadn't deteriorated yet as in other films and he sounded his best! I would love to hear Dogface, did they ever record it?? Cheers!
I always wondered why Elvis sounded miffed because of the lunch break on that outtake of Tonight's All Right for Love (on Elvis Aron Presley). Now it all makes sense. I never liked Big Boots until I listened to an episode of Desert Island Discs where one guy chose it as one of his ten records. I never played it to my son, though. Hot Dog was the one he liked. Great work as ever, Scott. Thanks for all the effort you put into your videos. Cheers.
Hi Scotty, Another cracking video. The stories you tell are funny. I bet I would be able to hold my ankles also, if Elvis was about ha ha. Thanks Scotty xxx 💝
Sorry Scott I was late on parade today, this film will always hold a special place in my heart as it was the first Elvis film I saw. Another informative video and what a wonderful soundtrack thanks again
He looked and sounded amazing when he came back from the service. I think all the time he spent practicing at home, in Germany, revived his enthusiasm and vocal chords. Thank you for all your hard work and info.
Hi Scott, Great video as usual. I loved GI Blues as a kid, but I’m quite indifferent about it now. Big Boots aside, it’s a decent soundtrack. After watching The Searcher, my view of this film and to a degree Blue Hawaii has been somewhat tainted. Mainly because it made me realise that these two films set the tone for what was to come for the majority of the 60’s. Those two films were - as you know - box office hits, whereas Flaming Star and Wild in the Country were relative failures in comparison. I often wonder what might have happened had it have been the other way round, would his acting career have really taken off? Given the success of his first four films - King Creole in particular - we can but wonder. Take care and stay safe. Lee
Scotty you made me smile when you said you had the next video done! Awesome...can’t wait! The negativity...don’t worry...can’t please everyone...for sure! The GI Blues information was great. Learned a lot. Looked up my album...to see what color of circle I had....hahaha! Orange, I think it is a regular size, anyway must be 1969. I would buy them at a regular department store...down the street. Just picked up, what the store had.....hahaha! Not much of a real collector like you guys. Thanks again!
more great work mate! Would like to see you do some movie reviews. I've got a lot of love for "Live a Little, Love a Little". would like your opinion. Keep up the good work!
I did it know why Elvis re record this songs in May,now i know Scotty!.Great job i always learn something new!A dog face it would have been a long title, jaja!.Thank you and TCB!
Scotty you have such great stories and sure get us all so jacked up as you show and tell us really cool Elvis history 🤝👍🏼⚡️🙌🏼Thank you so much always ! Your videos rock ❤️
Before Rick Stanley passed away, he was in progress a writing another book. He had many notebooks and journals of his progress. None of them where full. Maybe 10-11 of them. His daughters didn't want them because they didn't want anything to do with Elvis. (Will leave their actual remarks out). I have these journals now. I did offer them David, Ricks younger brother. David said he didn't want them either. David and Rick were working togetheron the book, til David told Rick that he wanted to do a tell all style book. Rick said no. So they went on separateways on the book project. I've only read some of one of the journals. Should send you some stuff sometime Scott. Share with the fans
When I toured RCA Studio B in Memphis many years ago, the tour guide played it's now or never and asked us what was missing from this version of this familiar song. No one had a clue. So he told how although the song was finished, the producer couldn't get to sleep because he felt something else was still needed for it. Something was missing. Then, it finally occurred to him. He got on the phone and said "we need to get the crew down to the studio first thing this morning, and make sure there's somebody there who can bang two pieces of wood together!" so that's how that quintessential rhythm trak came to be.
