i am 65yrs i saw elvis come and then go there will never be another like him, some times i wish i could go back and see it happen all over again from 1956 onwards.
I'm sure he was the most handsome male who ever lived. If not, I have never seen the other guy. And his voice was beyond compare. I'm so glad to have lived through the years when he was performing and cutting new records. He made that whole period in time so wonderful with his music. RIP Elvis.
Maybe because he stole majority of his music ppl don't mess with him. He was handsome and great stage presence he woulda been successful without stealing I'm sure so sad that tarnished his legacy.
DEAR+FERNANDO MARINELLI, REALLY ELVIS IS FANTASTIC TALENT, FANTASTIC SINGER !!! GOD BLESS THE BEAUTIFUL ELVIS"S SOUL !!! ALWAYS WITH A LOT OF LOVE AND LIGHT N.Mirkova from Bulgaria - Europe
Elvis.... there will never be another like him. He truly is the KING of Rock and Roll. A true musical talent. Have loved him and his music since I was a little kid..... and will continue to do so ALWAYS!!!
My mom is a huge elvis fan ever since she was a kid in the 50s n she always played his records n 8 tracks when I was a kid in 1970s n im 53 n I love his music
It’s strange to think that he thought no one would remember him and yet more years have passed since his death than he lived and he is still considered the King. He’s still the best selling single artist and such a pop culture name. It’s sad he can’t see how much of an influence he had
He sees it now. They watch us the way we watch television. Their focus is always on what we're doing. We all have relatives on the Otherside and they still love us very much. They can be with us whenever they want no matter what else they're doing. Even in the middle of an Elvis concert we can do something and boom, they're right here. So yes, he's seen it all and knows how much he's loved still to this day.
I love this man I listen to him everyday the best singer of all time s there wii never be another Elvis on this world 🌎🌍 best looking man on this earth 🌎🌍🌍🌍 tcb forever
I haven’t heard this song in so long. This was my introduction to Elvis movies and I ran out and buy the soundtrack. This movie and Viva Las Vegas get me all giddy! I can’t stop smiling. 😊
I was born on May 12 1957, but I had grown with Elvis All Shock up hearing my Dad playing the 45 turn disks o n his gramaphone. What I give to go back to the late 50's those were days of music and fashion!
Oh, I remember when movie came out. No one in the whole world could have been more appealing: the smile, grin, the voice, the moves, the complexion. The King.
He could play electric lead guitar quite well, as you can see for yourself in the 1968 Special where he borrows Scotty's electric and gives Scotty the acoustic guitar. He also played lead bass on some records ["Baby I Don't Care" was one] and sometimes he played lead electric in the studio, and at other times rhythm guitar. He wasn't Eric Clapton, but he was good.
Jason Teqja Yes I have heard AC/DC or I would not have said it but I basically meant that is where they started because rock ‘n’ roll originally started with him. If I am correct it may have started before him but he refined it..
Whether your a fan of Elvis or not u have to respect what he did by creating a revolution that's still felt today. Elvis was the first and the best at what he did. Before anyone did anything Elvis did everything. So if anyone gives u crap about being an Elvis fan, just brush it off cuz there ignorant and it's their loss for not understanding just how incredible this guy was and is! LONG LIVE THE KING!
Elvis Presley was literally Uncle Anthony's King, and this was his favorite tune! RIP Uncle 11/24/50 - 03/15/14 :,-( Hope you get to meet The King in Heaven!
"Hello Elvis, since being in the army do you think its affected your career as a musician?" "No way man, I was in tanks when I was in Germany and they rock n roll all day"
My Dad happened to mention that he liked the Beatles sometime in 1966 in my Nan's house in Birmingmam (UK) my Uncle got up off his chair and said 'There's only Presley in this F**k'in house mate' He never spoke to my Dad again !!! Hahha.
King Creole, demonstrated that when Elvis had the chance to really act, he really wasn't that bad. Plus, the music was definitely excellent; undoubtedly, the best of the pre-Army Elvis movies. Had his manager not relegated him to the same formulaic crap dominated by even crappier music, Elvis' post-Army movie career might have been just as good.
I agree but his career wasn't bad until 1964 hit. That's when the formulas started. Before then, the movies had actual plots. GI Blues, Kid Galahad, Flaming Star, etc. were some of his finest movies in terms of actual movie standards. But after Viva Las Vegas they had him fighting tigers and performing in circuses, it was awful. I refuse to watch those movies. Thank God he had a comeback in 1970.
Johnny Scumbag I have to agree with you on that. What totally annoyed me, was that from 1963-68, Elvis wasn't doing the music that he should've been doing; that period was a total waste of time.
Paul Haider I definitely agree with you on that point. Of course, that entourage of his, sure didn't help matters any. Between them, and Col. Parker refusing to let Elvis perform live for 7 years, it's no wonder Elvis was totally out of touch with what was happening in the real world, and with the changing music scene. It was so appalling, you would've been hard pressed to find any decent music by Elvis between 1963-68.
Bless these OG-non-Jojolion comments; I've finally struck the original comment section before the Jojo fan base takeover, though I still kinda slacked on doing this, glad I'm not too late!
Excuse me, but I'm 19 and i fucking LOVE Elvis. Mostly just his really old 50s and very early 60s stuff like this - the really bluesy, cool, gritty sounding stuff. It's so amazing. Along with loads of other blues and rock n' roll from that era. You simply CANNOT deny that this is an awesome song. So yeah, even if I'm the last Elvis fan once all the "50+ fans" have died, you can be guaranteed that his music will still be played, whether you like it or not.
King Creole, go There's a man in New Orleans who plays rock and roll He's a guitar man with a great big soul And he lays down a beat like a ton of coal He goes by the name of King Creole You know he's gone, gone, gone Jumpin' like a catfish on a pole, yeah You know he's gone, gone, gone And hip shaking King Creole When the King starts to do it it's as good as done He holds his guitar like a tommy gun He starts to growl from way down his throat He bends a string and that's all she wrote You know he's gone, gone, gone Jumpin' like a catfish on a pole You know he's gone, gone, gone And hip shaking King Creole He sings a song about a crowded hole He sings a song about a jelly roll He sings a song about pork and greens He sings some blues about New Orleans You know he's gone, gone, gone Jumpin' like a catfish on a pole, yeah You know he's gone, gone, gone And hip shaking King Creole He plays something evil then he plays something sweet No matter how he plays you got to get up on your feet And when he gets the rockin' fever baby, heaven sakes He don't stop playin' 'til his guitar breaks You know he's gone, gone, gone Jumpin' like a catfish on a pole, yeah You know he's gone, gone, gone And hip shaking King Creole You know he's gone, gone, gone Hip shaking King Creole
