The car was built off of a 1973 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ, was delivered to a Pontiac dealer on Fordham road in the Bronx, Stutz did inventory Cks for SJ 455 cars w sunroof options, car was shipped to Stutz and converted
Thank you for this insight. Two of my friends owned Stutz models (and there's that ROYALE I sold to the Royal Family, but another story, another time). I need to find back copies of ESQUIRE, which mentioned the prototype. Great "war stories" are always out there. One of the best centers around Elvis running it down to one of the STUTZ execs, at the premiere. When he posed the question "do you think people are gonna buy this because you,'re drivin' it,, or because they're gonna see me drivin' it?", well that closed the deal, and he got the first car. I will never understand what all the controversy is around Elvis he was just a talented singer and all the books I read about him he seemed very self absorbed .and some what off an ass hole ,he was not the king off rock and roll chuck beery and little Richard were the true kings off rock and roll but white America made him king and he died off drug over because he was a dope addicted because this life was too high for him too live in the flesh .
