You crack me up. I think his butt is so great too. 😂😂 He is so talented. His voice, his performance, his moves, his smiles and joking around with everyone. He loves doing this and he loves music. Sometimes we’ll give you an interview by him and you’ll see how truly shy, humble, kind, funny and extremely generous. Thank you so much doing this. Love the Elvis reactions. You’re so cute when you’re hit by the Elvis charm as we all have been. 😂😊😊❤🎁🎁Happy 89 th Birthday today the 8th of January. We lost you way to soon and have missed you so much. But I’m sure you are at peace and happy smiling down at us crazy people. 😂😂

Elvis was trained in karate, but I don't remember the degree of belt he'd achieved. He used karate moves onstage sometimes. Also, his jumpsuit is based on a karate outfit. His idea.

Elvis recorded EXACTLY 769 songs ..... Did 31 Movies ..... Did 2 Documentaries ..... Did over 1100 Concerts in the Seventies alone ..... Who knows how many in the 50's and 60's }} ..... PLUS .... On August 31, 1957, Elvis, Scotty Moore, Bill Black, D.J. Fontana and the Jordanaires went to Vancouver by train to perform at Empire Stadium. It was the second stop of a tour of the Northwest that had started the day before in Spokane. By this time Elvis had recorded eight No. 1 singles in two years, had made three movies and was about to release 'Jailhouse Rock' as his latest single. Having performed in Toronto and Ottawa in April, this was only the third time they ever performed outside of the U.S. and for Elvis it would be the last. Vancouver's first rock-and-roll show had taken place barely a year before, when Bill Haley and the Comets drew 6,000 people to the Kerrisdale Arena. Now Elvis had drawn a crowd over four times larger. The 26,500 fans in attendance went wild for the King of Rock 'n' Roll. The stage was set up on the empty football field Elvis did it all ..... And he did them better than ..... ANYONE ELSE COULD ..... ANYONE ..... PERIOD .....

Elvis was the first rock and roll superstar, and he inspired many great bands including The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen , Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant praises Elvis and during interviews and speaks of how exciting it was to meet Elvis. Many great performers even copied the way Elvis was dressed during this concert.

Chuck Berry and Little Richard had a much greater musical influence on the Beatles than Elvis did. He was the pop superstar when they were emerging but Elvis admitted when he stopped making 2nd rate films and returned to music in the late sixties that the Beatles and Dylan had taking contemporary music to another level
@rickrhoden1
@rickrhoden1 8 месяцев назад
@@MrAhuapai Perhaps musically, there were other influences for the Beatles, but in terms of his legendary status and precedent-setting star power and performances, the Beatles were in awe of Elvis. They acknowledged and respected how he had set the high entertainment standard which they were following.

Ola, I wanted to add another comment. You mentioned at the end that Elvis was getting tired. It is insanely difficult and exhausting to perform like this. Years ago, I was part of a group that did about a 5 minute musical routine. About 2 minutes in, I was completely exhausted. This song was just a small part of the show that night. Elvis must have been in amazing shape to perform the entire show.

Elvis was an 8th degree black belt. In your last Elvis reaction I asked you if you would like me to send you links to choose from. I do this for a lot of reactors, and I really don't mind sending them to you. Elvis acted in 31 films between 1956 and 1969. I would recommend starting with King Creole from 1958. This was his 4th film and the film he said he really liked. It's also my favorite Elvis film. He hated most of the films he did. He wasn't able to choose his own films (contract).So they put him in these romantic films where he had to sing and he wanted to keep his film and music career separate. He wanted to be a serious actor and he was pretty good, having had no acting training. He could have been amazing with the right roles. Having said that, I love the following films King Creole, Jailhouse Rock, Love Me Tender (his first film), Loving You, G.I. Blues, Wild In The Country, Kid Galahad, Roustabout, Live A Little;Love A Little (It's funny), and It Happened At The World's Fair (This one wasn't too bad). Great reaction.

They answer Elvis fans questions and also share stories and memories of living at Graceland with Elvis. One of Billy's recent stories got me so emotional, I was crying. It's really nice to hear stories from his family members, people who were actually there with him. Touring with him, going on vacation with him and living with him. Hey friend - newly subscribed: Great channel you have! Listen, I fancy myself an "Elvis expert" - I have been a fan for more than 40 years. Suggestions for Elvis tunes to respond to on your show: "Trouble" from the movie King Creole (1958) "Trouble/Guitar Man" from the 'Comeback' special - 1968. "Jailhouse rock" from the movie of the same name (1957). "Craw Fish" (again King Creole) 1958 "C'mon Everybody (with Ann Margret) 1964 "Polk Salad Annie" (1970 or 72 Concert version). "If I can Dream" (68 comeback special) Heartbreak Hotel (original 1956 studio version). Not sure if you covered some of these, but I'm sure there are some new gems here for you. BACKGROUND INFO foR THIS SONG: Written by Mark James in '68 it is based on one night when James was fooling around on his guitar & came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James' wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of."

Together these 2 videos total just 4 min. so you could do one & then do the 2nd. Water throwing incident 1972 Hampton Roads, Virgina when at the very, very start of the video Elvis called out “Please Release Me” but the band began playing “I Can’t Stop Loving You” - he didn’t stop them, he went right into the song, he then walked over to his glass of water, picked it up & playfully threw it at Glen @ piano -- a fun, energetic, powerhouse ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LNtP5Gd8QGE.html just make sure you hear him say Please Release Me then the water throwing will make sense; also note his irritated look @ beginning.

He loved his fans and would anything they ask him to. You have got to react to his Vegas version of "Love Me Tender" from 1970 when he kissed about 30 women from the stage. You are very pretty. Thanks and Be Blessed

Elvis was outstanding and his drummer the late Ronnie Tutt was exceptional.

It's so great to see young people falling in love with Elvis like I did over 50 years ago. He was/is absolutely gorgeous and timeless. You can see that music goes through him from head to toe, and I've always loved how he didn't take himself too seriously and would joke around on stage. Other songs you might like to react to: Just Pretend and Bridge over Troubled Water from this same concert, ANYTHING from the 68 Comeback special (esp in the black leather outfit ❤), Hound dog from the Milton Berle show in 1956, My Way and American Trilogy from Aloha from Hawaii in 1973. There are also some less well known gems scattered throughout his movies - too many to list here! As you can see, once you start on this Elvis journey it's very difficult to stop!

Yup. Elvis did 31 movies not counting specials about his life and/or performances. His performance of Let's Pretend is sexy as all get out.

did you guys notice that the editor made a mistake? at the end of the song when it gets dark and than light comes on again elvis is wearing a different jump suit

Yes! But I don't think many others notice. I also don't think it was a mistake. It was prob a better finale and since this is from the documentary, there was a lot of splicing shows together, but I never saw a splice in a song like that. Good eye!

I’ve wondered ever since 1970 IF it was a mistake. They did a lot of cuts between different nights just to get the best audio. I noticed it when I saw it in the theatre. And - I still prefer the original directors version of the movie over the newly released one from the 2000’s even if it has more footage. The new version leaves out some songs. I like that original “moment in time” style of the original. But, I’m probably one of the few.
