I was 6 yrs old, when this was recorded, and i still get those giggly, squiggly little girl feelings of unbias love , awe and adoration. He was a Gift that keeps on giving. He Was the One!!🤗 And I love your reactions to Elvis☺️
21 year old Elvis, two years into his meteoric rise to fame. Huge audience of adoring fans. And yes you are so right about those 50s microphones, & that is an outdoor concert with no mod cons to achieve good audio sound. But Elvis always had a beautiful voice, & unbelievably, Elvis’ High School music teacher told him he didn’t have a good voice! He only ever wanted to be a singer, & was entering talent contests from the age of 10, when he had to sit on a stool to reach the microphone. But he could never have imagined where that amazing voice would take him, & I wonder if he had known it would lead to addiction to prescription meds & then an early death by heart attack, if he would have thought it all worth it? I think he would have, because being on that stage with the music flowing through his veins, was all he had ever dreamed of from childhood.
Just Love your reactions to Elvis, There will never be another King of music like Elvis,Hes done what no other singer or preformer has done and will never be duplicated! ❤👑👑👑👑👑❤
As you will see how great he was. Funny at times in his recording studios. Messing up the words very enjoyable. Yes he truly was the one the greatest. Beautiful voice. Blessed by. God .with such an amazing voice. Could sing any song. Brilliant just fantastic. Always listen to him. There will never be another like him. In his league. Live this. Glad youre likung him so much. .really like !!! This. Is. Our. Dance.is a beautiful one.
The 1956 performance contains a lot of screaming ,you can see the big audience there. So his singing on that video was inmeshed with the screams so it was hard to hear. So they have put the studio recording over it ,that is why it sounds so good .😊 The song is lovely ,I love it . ❤️One of my bug favourites. It is on the LP album ” For Lp fans only ”, with a great picture of Elvis on it, he has a red shirt on and he is doing his smiling grin . ❤️
Love Elvis in every decade! He was the best in the 50's, the 60's, and the 70's, lol. I can't remember which performer said it, but a very popular artist was being interviewed once about popular music and artists of the time, and they asked him, "What about Elvis?" to which he replied " Elvis is in his own Stratosphere". I've always thought that is one of the best quotes about Elvis. No one can touch him.
I Was The One, was the B side of his 1st hit, Heartbreak Hotel. Heartbreak Hotel was a huge hit and people such as Elton John said it changed his life. As people already mentioned, his 1956 performance is using the sound from his record.
I’ve watched this a few times, and it just never ceases to amaze me like you said to the speakers back then we’re not Like today’s at all, so it was amazing. His voice sounded so good even then. He was a great performer and no one will ever take his place. I always love your reactions Thank you for loving him and respecting him like we all do.
That was definitely the studio cut and not live at Tupelo. It was insanely loud with the screaming, thus Elvis sometimes putting his hand over his ear so he could hear himself.
Love your reactions but your Elvis reactions from you are my favorite. You get this mischievous grin on your face like you get his humor and yet love his voice when he gets serious. Thanks so very much for not forgetting about Elvis. God bless. ❤❤❤❤😊😊
SO RIGHT COURTNEY. AND PEOPLE THOUGHT HE HAD AN EAR PIECE IN HIS EAR. LOL HE COVERED HIS EAR BECAUSE OF ALL THE SCREAMING.😊 BEUTIFUL YOUNG ELVIS, THATS WHEN HE SLIDE UP AND DOWN THE SCALE ALOT THEN. NOT BAD FOR NO MUSIC LESSON. IN HIS GOSABLES HE DOES SO WELL./ TAKE MY HAND PRECIOUS LORD, / THANKS, and Take care✨️✨️✨️
The concert footage is from his 56 concert in his hometown of Tupelo ( check that out on RU-vid ) the song was obviously a studio production as there was no screaming fans to be heard .
Whoever put that together *had* to use the studio cut. At Elvis’ stage shows in '56 & '57, the girls screamed so loud that no one could hear him sing. The musicians had trouble hearing each other. Scotty Moore once said, “We were the first band directed by an ass." 🤣 He said they could tell where Elvis was in the song by the way he moved. Elvis himself said that at times he had to cover his ears with his hands so that he could hear himself sing.
One mike and he was singing in it. He was young in 1956 when I was 12. He was performing at the county fair in his Birth place Tupelo Mississippi. He would get so famous so fast he had to have body guards and an entourage. You are so thorough on your reactions. I appreciate you. Thanks
Here's another rehearsal which is great...Words with the Sweet Inspirations ❤ Can't Stop Laughing Can't send links, unfortunately they get deleted somehow
The sound that you praised came out of the studio. The recording was added to the video. In Elvis`s early concerts, it was almost impossible to decipher what he was singing because of the thousands of girls who were shouting their lungs out :)))
The reason he couldn't remember all the words,he hadn't sang that song for over 13 yrs. he had recorded 426 songs since then and also spent 10 years making movies! This was a rehearsal for his first time being in front of an audience!❤
These 1970 rehearsals were in preparation for his upcoming Vegas shows which is interspersed here w-a '56 outdoor performance. The one entitled "Elvis Presley in the studio, 1970" at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GJo3O3QIBJk.html is a more upbeat & fun Elvis, beginning w-him driving onto the MGM lot to enter the studio.
The 1956 performance. The original audio is very distorted and the screams from the audience drowns out his vocals, so they took the studio recording and put it over the original. Usually that would drive fans nuts, but in this case, it's fine, because the original is so distorted. The original is on RU-vid though. Elvis was 21 in the 1956 performance and 35 in the 1970 rehearsal.
Wonder if you can keep from laughing at this version of Are You Lonesome Tonight (laughing version). ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G6GiEpGZIvY.htmlsi=ki59BmIUAehIpbuZ
In 50´there were good white singers but sadly they songs suck in the big they. Elvis harmonised them later. And it was Elvis and Black comminity who explore whole thing. I was not where but i do know i it happend,
