Elvis this has to be by far my all time favorite. Blue looks incredible on you. Thank you for being my role model, for being the man and athlete you are Thank you for your courage, discipline, for staying true to who you are, and not backing down, thank you for just everything. I want you to know how much I love you, how proud iam of you, and for how you've touched and impacted my life, as I deal with my medical condition, I'm learning that I'm stronger than I think iam and have more courage, and a fighter., than what I imagined. Your right. I'm so blessed how god has used you to confirm prophetic words over and over again, its blown me away, it got me through my time riding horses and know as a college student with disabilities. I'm learning alot about myself and how to stand on what I believe and not on the schools liberal ideology. I'm thankful grateful and blessed to have you and my good friend Tim tebow walking with me, being there as coaches role models and people who god is using to continue to turn my life around for the better.
Stojko you are amazing. When I was a figure skater I did not appreciate the incredible skater that you are. Looking back in retrospective, you certainly made the sport so interesting a challenging. Today, I cannot say the same for the sport today. There is something in figure skating that died when you left.
Martin Marquis lol? You clearly aren't watching the same figure skating championships as the rest of the world.... The sport keeps evolving and champions like Hanyu, Fernandez and Plushenko have pushed the sport to artistic and physical limits way beyond those of anyone in stojko's years.
I love this program Elvis. One of my all time favorites. By the way that blue on you looks awesome. Another thing we have in common besides the fact that we love almond butter, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. You forgot one, one of my all time favorite fruits, pineapple.
Thank Elvis. Hey did you know that you can make parfaits out of strawberries blueberries raspberries and yogurt. Just a snack I thought you would like to know about
Right skater. Wrong time. It's tough enough fighting to be your best, but when you're fighting 9 judges whose only goal is to ensure your failure - well that makes your job 100 times harder
I thought this was the best put together program of his whole career. I liked the music, the music with the step sequence. The only thing I would have changed was his haircut. Elvis, please!
I think the advantage that American skaters over the rest of the world is due to their musicality. Americans are never the most technically strong during these competitions but looking at their overall program like Eldredge and Kwan, their music plays a big role on how well their overall performance looks. 1492 that Stojko used here is an excellent program to skate to but only if it was cut or trimmed in the right parts. It failed to do that here and it failed to accentuate his strengths.
@amexred Really, what was the problem with his haircut?? It looked fine. That was the style of the day, as well. Do you think everyone from that era had to cut their hair??? At least you appreciated the other things, though.
Meghan, I know what you mean...some of the male Figure skaters look like women out there...but never Elvis or another favorite of mine, Brian Boitano. It's possible to have grace and still be manly.
All credit to Todd, and he was another who was the complete package in men's figure skating who always had great programs and content. However, remember Elvis had a rough technical program and was outside of top 3 going into the free skate. It's also interesting that Elvis went back to this program from the year before. He abandoned the new program he had for this 95-96 season.
