ELVIS Trailer 2022 *REACTION* 

Hi June. I'm 85 and I seen ELVIS in 1956 and 1957 and 1975. 1956 and 1957 was very wild. Girls climbed over chairs and each other and rushed the stage. I really couldn't hear Elvis or the band because of all the girls screaming. ELVIS did move like that on stage. He was full of energy. 1975 the women rushed the stage screaming and a few fights broke out when ELVIS would throw a scarf in the crowd the women wouldn't let go. ELVIS sounded great. It was that concert I heard for the first time ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING. the women wouldn't leave. They kept clapping their hands and chanted Elvis. I remember women crying when he would sing. I've been to alot of concerts in my time ROCK AND country. I can honestly tell you no one singer or band comes close to Elvis. He really is the king of Rock and Roll. His movies and interviews and concerts on tape are nothing compared to seeing him live. That man was blessed by God. The talent and excitement was off the charts.

Miss Joy. Elvis was the real package. Elvis was shy, he was always nervous, he was very humble, very generous. And absolutely Not a racist as so many try to make him out to be. He was always kind to every race and color. He was your friend. His three back up girls Sweet Inspirations we're all beautiful black women. He loved them. And he was always very nice to them. Elvis was the total real package.

I can't wait to see it. At the end when they said, "Elvis has left the building." They did that because people wouldn't leave.

Its great to see a young lady getting excited about elvis . There's so much garbage written about him after his death and bad vegas impersonators didn't help . The film looks brilliant and finally a true rendition of the man . Elvis was a showman but first he was a fantastic singer

I cant wait until June either!!!! Elvis. Child of the Great Depression. So poor, he was born and lived in a shack (shotgun home) with a porch. So poor that his twin brother who was still-born, was buried in a shoebox. Segregated South he grew up in one of only four white families in a black ghetto in Tupelo. He practically lived on the streets and churches of the poorest black and white ghettos. Groups of mixed friends like this CHANGED THE WORLD. And Elvis was in one of those groups of friends. He was absolutely loved by most of the black legends of his day: BB KING: 'Let me tell you the definitive truth about Elvis Presley and racism', The King of the Blues, B.B. King said in 2010. 'With Elvis, there was not a single drop of racism in that man. And when I say that, believe me I should know'. -- BB KING JAMES BROWN: “I wasn’t just a fan, I was his brother. He said I was good and I said he was good; we never argued about that. Elvis was a hard worker, dedicated, and God loved him … I love him and hope to see him in heaven. There’ll never be another like that soul brother”. --- JAMES BROWN (During Elvis' private family wake, James was the LAST ONE TO LEAVE. 1 hour and 30 minutes later -- it took several of his security guards to help him out of the room. James was devastated -- they sang Gospel together to all hours of the night at each others' homes. James Brown was considered family by the Presley they were so close.) You are so cute! ... and actually i'm a 74 year old woman who is a native Memphian and grew up in E's time. This movie will fundamentally be correct but there are also things that didn't happen but mostly those things won't matter. It is a visual masterpiece and Austin is a striking looking man in his own right. He has embodied the spirit of Elvis... I think it will be amazing and if you want to see an interview the Director of the film had with an older black gentleman who was a good friend of Elvis' in Tupelo check out the vid i've linked... watch in its entirety, you will be surprised as was I at many things. Love your enthusiasm for E... that is something most of his fans have had for 45 years :) So.... Elvis's life in Tupelo, MS was one of great influence by the black community. Not because he was standing off to the side watching.. but because he was a part of it... he went to black churches, sang the gospels with them, they were his playmates, he lived in what we would call the ghetto today. Elvis was just another kid in the neighborhood of black kids. What rubbed off on him was the same thing that rubbed off on the black children... it was natural and organic and something he couldn't get rid of even if he wanted to. Those who feel he "stole" anything from the black community simply dont know his actual story. ... @

Finally! A movie befitting THE KING ELVIS PRESLEY? Let's hope so. He certainly deserves it. Can't wait to see if the movie lives up to the legend. His momma "the way you sing is God given so there can't be nothing wrong with it!" Touche Mrs Presley Touche

As someone who (63 years old) has seen Elvis and read just about every book on him, over the many years, I am excited for this movie over others that I have seen. They have gone back to the roots of Elvis‘s music in this movie. Even portraying him as a child reading comic books which was one of Elvis’s favorite things. From a Birdseye this looks like a great movie!

“I’m gonna be 40 soon and no one is gonna remember me” man you can tell this dude had his demons. Biggest rock star ever and he still feared he’d be forgotten.

People back in the 50’s, mainly parents, considered his dancing controversy. They thought his dance moves were too sexual and that he was a bad influence to the young generation. They actually told him if he continued to dance like that, they would arrest him. Which is why in the movie he says “ I can’t move, I can’t sing”.

In late 1957 in Canada and then in California, Elvis’s concerts were starting to get out of control. Read about the “Riot” in Vancouver. His popularity was at an all time high and and teenagers were beginning to explore their newfound freedoms in their music. Needless to say, this was not boding well with the establishment, so what could they do? They drafted him! No more chaos at his concerts. He goes into the military, his mother dies, and when his tour of duty is over, he’s a totally different person. I always wonder how different things would be if he hadn’t been drafted. Wonder how this movie will handle that whole situation.

This movie is going to be on point, baz went to tupelo mississippi and interview elvis child friend, the interview is on youtube... on the trailer I match elvis real photos moments that baz use on the movie, same clothes elvis use on the 1970 thats the way it was baz use replicas even the drummer has the same shirt, all the jumpsuit are on point, they recreate Graceland just how it was when elvis bought it in the 50s ... austin has elvis walk on point and the way elvis move the hands those things are hard to imitate and austin got it perfect. I've been an elvis fan since 2001 looks like this movie is going to show the new generation who elvis really was I can't wait to see this movie. HAVE A BLESS DAY

I have my own memory of Elvis. I never met the guy but I did get to sit in the driver seat of his purple Cadillac in '74 or '75. From what I've found out he had sold it nearly twenty years before and by this time and it was looking forlorn, dusty and abandoned under a shed near where my mom and dad lived at the time. I was about 4 years old and I still remember sitting at the wheel of that car. The steering wheels were big on most cars back then and as young as I was it looked huge! My mom and dad had seen it on the way home a few times and finally stopped in and inquired about it. The owner let them look at it and opened it up. Mom wanted to know if I wanted to take her and dad for a ride and of course I said yes. ( I was known for doing that at home sometimes. ) I climbed up in the drivers seat and couldn't see over that massive steering wheel then, but off we went in my imagination with mom in the back seat and dad standing outside talking to the owner. About a year later I think a man by the name of James Cantrell bought it and fixed it up with the intention of driving it back to Memphis and giving it to Elvis. He never did....by the time it was ready to go Elvis had died and it's now on loan to the museum that has the cars Elvis owned on display. I am 68 and a die-hard Elvis fan... I seen an interview with Austin Butler about him playing Elvis... He studied every breath every move every song of Elvis's for like 3 years until he got it. He sang all the songs in the movie except for when Elvis got like two or three years from dying in August of 1977. For that period of Elvis's life they blended Elvis's voice with Austin's at the end. There is video of both Priscilla and Lisa Marie talking about how awesome they thought Austin played the part of Elvis.

Over the years Elvis has become a cartoon like figure, a caricature, a Las Vegas wedding prop. Elvis impersonators made him that way. They should all be banned.This movie here will undo this injustice. Elvis didn't invent Rock 'n' Roll, nobody did, but it was he who blurred the strickt line between black and white music, the essence of Rock 'n' Roll. He changed the musical and cultural landscape of the time almost overnight with his controversial style that met a lot of resistence. He gave voice to a whole new subculture; Teenagers. Without Elvis breaking down the doors for scores of artists to follow it would probably be very doubtful if we ever had heard from them at all. Without Elvis' national and global breakthrough, of wich he had the guts to do, Rock 'n' Roll would have never become as big as it did. That made him the King of it.

I was fortunate enough to get to see him in concert one with my sweet Mommy. Biggest thrill of my life. It took years because his tickets would sell out in about 5 minutes around here in Tennessee

I'll be 60, and I can remember watching Elvis movies on Saturdays. Viva Las Vegas GI Blues Blue Hawaii and Jail House Rock were my favorites. I was 15 when he passed away so young. Elvis was just gorgeous. By now you've already seen the movie. It is OSCAR READY

I’m definitely gonna see it several times!!! I’m really happy with Austin playing Elvis No he doesn’t look much like him, but damn, he killed it with his moves and walk !!! I think Tom Hanks is playing the Col a little extra creepy. And it doesn’t look accurate on how they met (a carnival? Really? And riding a Ferris wheel together? Huh?). But visually it looks amazing. Austin will be singing the 50’s songs due to the poor quality of those old tracks. And Elvis will be doing the 60’s and 70’s, with a bit of Austin blended in in some places.

I've been a HUGE Elvis fan for 45 years. Elvis can't be replicated or duplicated. Nobody can mimic him. So that's impossible. Everything other than that looks legit. The costumes, the sets, the comments are truth.

You are my soul sister!! I'm super-duper stoked for this movie and basically had the same reactions to watching it as you did. When I started listening to Elvis a little over a year ago, I couldn't stop listening to his music, watching his movies, writing freakin' Elvis fanfiction stories about him, and watching all the home videos, music videos and interviews that I could get my hands on. I'm totally down with renting a theater suite and watching this early with all the Elvis fans (since I don't know any Elvis fans in person *sad face*). June is too far away!!! 😭😭

The Song at the end is Unchained Melody (oh,my Love,my Darling) when he performed the song live on June 13th 1977 at Indianapolis,8 weeks before he died on August 8th at Age 42

I think it looks like an amazing portrayal. Baz did a lot of interviews with Elvis’ friends. Austin got Priscilla’s blessing at Graceland. Speaking of Austin, he’s singing the 50s songs and 60s-70s is a mix of Austin and Elvis.

Elvis was the very first true Superstar Entertainer , and he is different than pop stars. He performed music for all people, and his music was ageless and timeless. I was ten when he died, and had grown up watching all his movies on pre-cable network TV and as far back as I remember, I listened to his 45rpm records on the Seabreeze record player that my mother had kept from her youth in the 1950's.

What I love about this movie is they really examined the roots of his music and where a lot of his inspiration came from. They did not shy away from the fact that a lot of black artists were responsible for his musical style... but they left it up to the viewer to decide for themselves how they felt about that. I think they did a beautiful job of telling his story while leaving many things open to interpretation.

I’ve been a fan for 50 years I think this movie is going to be epic! Elvis is finally going to get a movie that will do him justice and Austin is going to be great.

I seen him in concert back in 1974 in Roanoke virginia. I was only 8 years old at the time and then I saw him again in 1976 when I was 10. I was supposed to see him in August 1977 but he passed away 5 days before he was supposed to be in Roanoke. I'm fortunate to have seen him live 👍 Best entertainer I've ever seen!!
