The scenery out there is spectacular! Loved the train ride, I see that one a lot on the rail fan Facebook groups, I’d like to get there at some point. The charcoal ovens were cool as well, and then those views! Great Video!

Your adventures are amazing

i removed the original fan and installed 2, 10" fans in the front of the radiator as pushers, ( means pushing air in the thru the radiator) gained about 11 hp. and 25 ft #s torque, . remember when you traveling down the trails the fans arent spininng fast , but are spinning. you save on wear and tear on the belt and even the water pump housing, less pull .

I was raised in Lane City Nevada and saw all these places. This brought back pleasant memories.

Its amazing today to drive out into what we consider to be the middle of nowhere and find the remains of where 100's, even thousands of people used to live over 100 years ago in Nevada. With no paved roads, no trucks or cars.

Very well done i live in Nevada trying to turn over a new leaf and get out and do things this year. I have started on restoring my boat I just parked it in 2014 got tired of going out alone. Your video gives me a little boost to get my ass in gear and get out there. My Mother God rest her Soul used to take us out ghost town hunting . She would make her fried chicken and make her famous potato salad and we would load up Sat morning and head out in the Jeep pick up we had so much fun . So your video brought a smile to my face and good memories .

That TV show Ghost Adventures did a whole show on the Ely railroad. That old machine shop is haunted.

It takes guts to take such an adventure in a "classic"!

I love the shot at the water tower while moving away on the train. Those old ghost towns are so cool. The abandoned mill was even better. I wanted to look around that place in person. I was surprised to see how much green there was when you stopped to change the relay. Very nice trip. 👍

You should be around when the third Sunday weekend is going on in May and September. Street legal racecars in town. Since 1988.

I don't miss the overheating.

Next time you go to Garnet hill get under those big trees. You will find huge garnets.
