The Emax Nanohawk is an excellent little Tiny Whoop, but it has one fatal flaw.

btw, it comes with JESC 2.3; anyway, any suggestions for other 65mm frame that have two hole option or at least have enough meat on motor pads that can accommodate another drilled hole? (UR65 looks promising)

Good honest review (as always). I see this more as an outdoor mini-toothpick than a whoop. Some durable Gemfan props might do wonders.

Yeah I run the gemfam and they're great. Surprisingly the motors are more durable than my mob6 motors and they only have two screws lol. Love those square 300mah as well, man they pack a huge punch over the GNB stick 300mah. Cheers

Nice video! Have broke my vtx antenna on the nanohawk and wil be buy a other for sur because I love it😁 Have the meteor 75 but I’m still interested in the meteor 65. Cable from camera on the new fc meteor with the jst0.8 is very brittle with c01pro, but my 75meteor is a little rocket! Best regards! Julien.

Same conclusion for me. I've bought the Betafpv, great quality! I've had a lot of crashes, frame and canopy very durable. I've only printed a new canopy because the original has a lot of camera angle for my skills...

I had gotten some jello after of tumbles, then I secured the top of the canopy with a zip tie it seemed to help, although not my idea I saw someone else do it.

My issues are definitely prop related. Design flaw

I tried Emax props on my Meteor65 and yeah same thing, these props aren't durable at all, should of gone tri and bigger conector on hub IMO. I just used the gemfams from Meteor65 and I waaay prefer the flight experience and they are multitudes more durable. Absolutely love this thing as I don't treat it like a traditional "whoop", it performs and flys very different to my Meteor 65 and mob6. If you cut off guards and don't treat it like a whoop this thing is sort of hilarious in its performance on such a small lil form factor. The smallest "toothpick" you can get that can do ALL acro moves with recover power to spare. Though I feel this size and style warrents a class of its own for city flyers.... Emax always making unique and sometimes misunderstood products, we're lucky to have them in the hobbe.

Are the props shafts 1mm? Or did emax change the size like they change everything else?

1mm

Carbon frame whoop is an interesting idea BUT I don't like the proprietary stuff that emax is pushing. Making a motor shaft incompatible with a standard prop is just awful. Because of that anti-consumer approach, definite no-buy from me.

Mine became way more blurry after one crash. Wrote Emax, and they confirmed that it was my “props being bent”. Honestly, stuck new props on, and it was still blurry. Also, do they really expect someone to never crash? Mine were not hard crashes, just bumped the wall.

Bought one for my son, flew a pack to check everything out, flew great, landed it, he plugged in a battery and started flying and bam shitty video feed. Didn't even wreck it, just a single landing. Put new props on, didn't fix anything. ziptied with a bit of foam and its better but still noticeable.
@MasterApeFPV
@MasterApeFPV 3 года назад
@@derqatarzan4207 Ive managed to fix mine completely with a zip tie. I realised that a tiny crack along the frame bridge caused it. Basically, a new canopy is t he trick. Not sure why yours did that after landing!

about the batteries, you could just replace the PH2.0 connector with a BT2.0 on a few batteries you already have. uh? :-)

stay away from emax tiny hawks unless you want it to keep emax only products on it in the need of repair..... they use their own connections for the motors and boards,,, get a mob6 and thank me later.... happymodel uses great boards and motors and you can swap them out for pretty much anything.... betafpv has been having a lot of quality control issues.... but i do like their frames alot... in fact i have a few of their frames for my mobula 6s and 7s for replacement.... while they are a little heavy they are durible and will take a beating
@zeroblade6599
@zeroblade6599 3 года назад
Dude if you can break a tinyhawk2, you need to stop running it over with your car. It's a tank. The downside is it's got the fuel consumption of a tank as well. We do agree on the awesomeness of the mob6 though. I can't say if it's as durable as a th2 cause when I got the mob I was a lot better at flying then when I got the th2 so I crashed a lot less and a lot less hard when I did

@@zeroblade6599 im just saying you are locked into the emax ecosystem if you go tinyhawk,,,,, mobula 6 you have unlimited upgrades and changes you can make to it

@@HalfChrome im just saying if one of your motors go out you have to bu emax if you want plug and play..... with the mob 6 you could go with anybrand youd like as they use a industry standard connection unlike emax ( also newbeedrone) on their boards

The only reason I won't buy this is because of the new battery connector, plus the prop guards are not helpful really.
