Thanks Dad, I mean dude! Kidding! Really though, thanks. I really couldn't figure out why my video quality was so poor. I was ready send this TinyHawk to Valhalla. Now Im having a blast with it!
Amazing help buddy, much appreciated to get a better flying experience, this little quad at the park i tell people "This is my little friend" Lol - thanks again
I was never going to be able to use these goggles I am old and need reading glasses now. I got a digiadapter and a rapid fire module today and am now flying my tinyhawk 3 using my dji v2 goggles. 🙂😄😁😀
Geprc 25 do you have any feed back on that quad? I'm hoping you do because t your tutorial was so detailed and informative, I can only imagine what it would be like going over the geprc 25!🙌🏻
I love this detailed Tinyhawk 3 review. Thank you. You mention upgrading the antenna at time 23.39 to FOXEER FPV 5.8G 2.5dBi Lollipop Antenna. I am using the Tinyhawk 3 RTF kit to learn how to fly the drone FPV and not line of sight. I am currently doing laps around my ground floor, not fast or pretty but successfully. My first drone, bought as a distraction because of COVID last summer, was a GEPRC Crocodile Baby 5 DJI version with the DJI goggles and controller. My only concern at the time was being noxious while viewing the flight through the goggles. I was so wrong. I could not fly the Crocodile Baby 5 as it is way beyond a beginner’s skills. I am a senior by the way. I plan to use the Tinyhawk as my winter indoor go to toy. Will attaching these Lollipop antenna to the EMAX monitor noticeably enhance the video reception indoors and out?
Yes it definitely will improve your picture- anything that gives better range will by default give you a much better picture and it can be shocking how much it benefits, the biggest help is more vtx power 👍🤜🏻🤛🏻
I really hope you see this. First a huge thank you for this video. I'm beyond frustrated. I have flown RC planes, jets and helis for over 25 years. Got into fpv and got lost with betaflight (you helped with that) I bought a leader 120 and it's still new in the box lol. So I bought the tinyhawk 3 rtf bundle. Received it today and from the first flight and 5 since it has a medium pull to the left and tiny pull to the aft. I did the stick recalibration on the tx, no fix. So I read re-balancing the gyro or accelerometer in betaflight can fix this. I'm about to use beta for the first time. I hope this works, I just want the TH3 to fly straight. Any advice please let me know. Thank you again you got a new sub.
** Be aware ** Don't bump up to 200. I did this and it fried my flight controller. It's a $179 part. Hobby shop said this drone is not designed to handle that kind of milliwatt.
Yeah, especially if you just have it sitting around and on. In flight the airflow should keep it cool, but I would only turn on 200 if you need to, not just the first thing to do if you are just learning.
No the vtx did not fry your Esc, it can fry itself but definitely not your Esc unless of course it got so hot it melted things 😱👍 Your hobby shop doesn’t know what they are talking about and if possible you should shop somewhere else 👍🤜🏻🤛🏻
Changed to raceband 8, immediately lost all signal and can't find video even with auto search. Now I can't change setting back either because I can't get anything to display on the screen except pure static on every single channel.
I have a problem with my tinyhawk2, I binded it with the radio, and on betaflight I can see the switches and input actions as gas, yaw pitch and roll working, I also added the arm control, and other 2 as I see in videos, but then, if I power it up with the radio binded it doesn't fly, althought the leds blink wile giving inputs from the radio (that shows that the binding is correct) the props don't spin, it is not working.... can you help??
Someone please help me I did the exact same thing he did for the screen connection thing at 11:00 and now I can’t see anything at all if someone knows how to fix this please message me asap
Hi ! As soon as I watched your video on the Emax Tinyhawk III, I purchased it and Subscribed to your Channel ! As I was trying to verify the binding I took the Canopy screws out in order to reach the Binding Button which is deep inside the Camera Canopy or Housing. After I verified the binding to my satisfaction I noticed a LOOSE RED CABLE ( measures about 1 - 1 1/2 inches long )on the rear right of the circuit board and it is soldered to a point on the Board which reads 5 V. I am not sure if this RED CABLE was already loose or if it goes to a certain soldering spot or if it is a convenient 5V output to be used on some modification...... I will like to know if your Emax Tinyhawk III has this loose cable of if it came loose when I was doing the binding... if it goes somewhere, where is it supposed to go ? The loose end show no wire coming out of it or any solder attached. Please help me out ! Thank you !
This is my first FPV drone and I love this little thing. However, I keep trying the button-battery combo and can't get the VTX to change to save my life. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Eh. Still a great little machine. Thanks for the Betaflight tips!
@@HalfChrome Via the button, it goes into a blue static LED and then I turn on my E6 transmitter that I got from my Tiny hawk 2 Freestyle RTF kit. Put that into binding mode and from there nothing happens. I'm a tad confused
@@HalfChrome I only got the quadcopter separate, not the kit. I am trying to bind it to my E6 transmitter (The white controller one) that I got from another kit (with the TH2 Freestyle) but it won't bind. And they both have the FrSky D8 protocol so it should work.. that's whats confusing me. I think this transmitter is still bound to the Tinyhawk2Freestyle but I can't like unbind it as the manual suggests
I bought the Tinyhawk 2 Freestyle kit but it's toomuch for me and I can't fly indoors so I got the Tinyhawk 3 to be able to practice indoors and is less powerful. I'm trying to bind it, but it won't that's the issue :p. I've scavenged through the Emax manuals but nothing clearly states how you should do it. Kinda sucks in terms of starting out lol
You seem like the person to ask so if I am thinking of getting a fpv drone and I’m trying to spend $500 or less, is there a good kit for around that price or should you get different components ( drone, goggles, etc.) to use together? I’m looking for a quad that would be good for outdoors, good flight time, good flight distance but, I’m not using this for professional pictures so I don’t need the best camera. And I wear glasses so that might be a problem for some of the goggles. Thanks for your time and research on all these quads
This is an excellent kit. Yes. You could put a better kit together. I really like the Radiomaster Zorro and these Transporter 2 goggles are a good start. That would be about $180 and you could choose your quad. I’m a fan of the Nazgûl but I do think there’s real value starting g with a small drone like this.
@@HalfChrome thank you very much. Is there a certain model of Nazgûl that’s good and are there any other really good quads you would suggest? Again thank you so much for your help
Hi I know it’s an old video but is it possible you could tell me if emax transporter 2 headset is sma male? I’m looking to buy the kit and would just like to order antennas at the same time. I used your link to look at antennas I would just like to make sure it is accurate thanks
I bought a tiny hawk 3 and I tried to do what you did and change the channel and power to 200 but idk what I did after but Idk if it cause i changes the channel or did save and exit but it basically made the goggle be static on all channels and I mean all channels, the drone could be turned on and would beep in beeper mode but would not connec to the goggles and the controller didn't either, so I messed it up when trying to do those little changes, I returned the drone and another one is coming in tomorrow, I don't want to mess up the next one and want to understand how to use this drone, do you have any ideas as to what I did to mess up the drone?
@@HalfChrome hey sorry I didn't see your reply until today, I got another tinyhawk 3 and it's working fine, but I haven't unlocked vtx yet, is that when you hold down the button on the drone and plug in a battery? I also got the better antennas, do they work immediately just by putting them on the goggles or do you have to do something for that as well, thank you for being very helpful your videos are amazing, I've already had a blast with the tiny hawk 3 so far, but know I can improve it, can this fit a insta360 go or no? I feel really stupid but I really do appreciate your help I was able to get the drone onto 200 out put and that's been really fun, I just really want to understand everything about this, I still don't fully understand that hud you can pull up by going left on the left stick and up on the right stick, I feel like it's complex but it's probably not, again I'm sorry for writing so long and I want to thank you again because either way your video was very indepth compared to all the other videos on this drone and made it alot easier to understand it, keep up the great content, can't wait to see more cool stuff, who knows maybe they might a tiny hawk 4 in the next couple of years?
For me I think the best starter kit is the DJI FPV…… its a superb drone and if you use common sense with it you can start on normal and work your way up ……
I dont think the HV wears these batteries out. They dont even get warm and still take an hour to charge. HV batteries are designed to be charged on the HV setting.
Hi can you help me please. I changed my channel from 4 to 8 then 25mw to 200mw and set. After this I can no longer connect the FPV regardless of the channels I select. Do you know how I can fix this? Much appreciated
@@HalfChrome can you explain how to unlock the VTX? I’m in the same boat as this guy. I bought this as a starter FPV and now I cant connect and cant figure out how to do this though I’ve been searching. Thanks
Hi jack I wone the eachine wizard 220s from you a while back iam totally dumb when it comes to technology lol I finly got it to arm the motors with help from a friend on RU-vid. Thank you so much for the nice quadcopter. And all you do
great video, thanks! I can't crush flip (turtle mode) with my Tinyhawk 3, it just brake dances all around on it's back. Does it work for you? Are the motors too weak for that?
Just got the rtf kit and I'm already flying pretty well but it does have a drift to the front right and calibrating on beta flight doesn't seem to fix it Also this is my first fpv drone and I'm just wondering how I should upgrade my drone goggles antennas whatever once I feel like it's time to so if anyone has any recommendations that would be appreciated
So you’ve unlocked the channel? Then change channel on goggles. You can confirm the channel on betaflight. Check this out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I30Csn5tebQ.html
@@HalfChrome I have did that and it didn't work but i did a CLI dump and now i can get it to connect but i haven't tried changing the settings again EDIT: I used betaflight to change to receband 8 and boost the power to 200 and now it works fine.
so i followed your advice on 9:44 and put it on channel 8 and changed the VTX , now my monitor cant connect to the radio ( i get that grey no signal picture like when you auto search) i restarted it , used the right pin to shut it down or maybe reset it , tried the default option in the monitor menu....what happened? how can i fix it? clearly i m a begginer....
@@HalfChrome i pressed to unlock it, changed the band(raceband), channel (8) and power (from to 25 to 200). then i prassed set, confirm , save exit, as you dit it on the video... now i cant get signal at all ....
