They work good for what they’re meant for it’s just hard when your brain wants there to be hydraulic resistance and there isn’t.

Awesome that yall are using copper for the cell connections. I had to use so much nickel(3 layers thick of 1x0.15mm and 2x0.2mm per connection) in my diy battery to keep them in the safe range for the amps and I'm not even running high output cells, just 15A tesla cells. Kind of interested where you found the mixed setup bc that would be amazing to simplify build.

This manufacturer has been great so far and make tons of UL certified products of which our battery may be added to that list if our wallets can handle it 🤣 what total cross section did you end up going with for your desired amount draw?

@@emotobros I ended up being a good bit on the conservative side but it ended up around 3A/mm^2 (15A/5mm^2 cross section)where most calculators Ive seen say a little under 5A/mm^2 is ideal. The issue is I only had the two strip sizes and one less layer of the 0.2x10mm would have put me in the poor territory. On my last battery for an ebike with the same cells is only one layer since I wont pull more than about 6-7 amps per cell

@@mrskywalker115 That sounds about right. On the electric formula team we are on we use about 5A/mm^2 for 101%IACS Cu. Glad to see people aren't neglecting the important stuff!

So from this videos information it seems like EBMX is making amazing headway. Like the moto rear shock. What's your opinion on their pouch cell battieres ?

Yes I’ll be curious to try the rear shock assuming it’s reasonably priced. I think their batteries look great and function well. I know they have been having the same supply issues we have so hopefully that gets ironed out.

Hey guys! I do not have any social media besides watching you tube only. I'm looking to order your BAC4000 controller plug n play kit with harness and display. Can I be notified as soon as they are available or put a down payment to reserve one? I really wanna get your controller kit plus the battery bypass kit so I can get full potential out of my 60v bike/battery.

Definitely a great upgrade. Any 10.5x3.5 shock should fit just fine🤘🏽

What type of motor temps are you seeing with your 60v battery at high kw like the videos where you run 12kw?

We have a full video on this called testing range a motor temps. Long story short it gets real hot especially when climbing while the motor is requiring lots of torque output.

@@emotobros I saw that video about an hour after I wrote that so that is my bad. I think I’ve covered all of your videos at this point, but there is a lot to learn. I sure wish @ebmx would send you a 72v so you can run some comparison testing on that battery for both range and temps.

@@emotobros I haven’t installed it yet, I know nothing about them, porches it from 3rd party unopened. Is it ready to go? Also I tried a bac8000 on my bike with stock battery, it gave me less power and would cut out on me.. any advice?
