@@IdealMediaChannel what part of Washington are you from? I'm South of Yakima, my dad is president of the local car club, we've got shows coming up this summer, the most notable at Maryhill Museum of Arts. Message me if you want more info!!
You probably dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me atm then you can stream all the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my gf for the last few weeks =)
As I kid watching early 911's on a rally I told my dad " I'm going to get one of those when I'm older". At 25 told this to my wife and she said "ok". Saved for 3 years and at 28 bought a 9 year old 72K miles manual red cowl motor 911SC in GP White with Tartan and it was my daily driver for 5 years. Life got in the way and it was sold but my fire never went out. Roll forward to 11 years ago and I was in a position to buy a 1998 993 Targa in Midnight Blue with Grey (yes I'm British) again with 70k miles. Despite being a dyed in the wool air cooled fanatic, in 2015 I realised the car had doubled in value so I sold it and bought a 2010 997.2 PDK Targa 4S in Black with Black and factory fitted Turbo wheels and only 30k miles. No longer my daily driver but I still have it, I still love it and prefer the shape over the newer ones. Long story I know but the moral is if you want one then get one, they really are rewarding to own, buy the best you can afford and look after it. I also use a Porsche qualified technician rather than a dealership so I totally endorse the view put forward by the video and annual costs are actually on par or less than my Honda CRV daily hack.
@@IdealMediaChannel I mean,... Honestly, I wouldn't care what motor it would have. It's my dream car for more nostalgic reasons really if u know what I mean
@ORFwithCRS my pops had 1 before he hung himself when I was young. So..... Just having the car (any variation of the car) would be humbling. Just because I'm not picky doesn't mean I'm "ho-hum". Ya know, I once knew a troll...... Too.....
@ORFwithCRS would I "prefer" the 350, chrome accents, and all the extras? Yes. Would I shut my mouth and not complain if I had the "base" model? Yes. Dose that "break it down" enough for u? Yes.
WIGGSPLITTIN101 A friend of mine has had 2 split windows and still has one of them. He threw me the keys when I first saw it and it was a pretty cool experience
Have a RX 7 FC Turbo, a Miata ND 2,0 as daily and a CX 3 AWD 150 for winter. No need to drive around with a box on top. If a car is rear end heavy it stays rear end heavy no matter what they do on the suspension.
@@IdealMediaChannel 1. Where did you get the pathetic sound bite examples of the terrible exhaust notes to justify your "I have to mod everything" snobbery? One sounds like missing cylinders and the other sounds like an 88' Sirocco. PS. Your exhaust note didn't sound too bad but is it a Sport Chrono package and/or with sport exhaust? 2. Not loud enough? Maybe you need to get a 99' Civic with the "look how loud I sound but don't go" exhaust. 3. You removed the muffler? Personal choice. I'll leave this one alone. 4. Exhaust that fits the character of the car? Did I miss something and you removed the spoiler from your GT3 RS or are we back to point 2, but with a 997 , not to mention all the downshift and lift off throttle crackle isn't "being a 911 owner". 5. 911's are great drift cars? Rally cars (historically) - but when was the last drift competition you went to where 911's were abundant? 6. "Water pumper" ? .....enough said. 911 owners/people/enthusiast do not purchase one in the hopes they might break necks, stand out "get attention". At this point I had enough. This video may have impressed a few preteens or people who are clueless about 911s - but that would be it. You asked publicly, so I answered publicly (with restraint). Please take it constructively to improve your channel and/or reidentify your target audience. Watch a lot of your competition. Be your own worst critic. Use more original footage instead of the legal mumbo jumbo copout in your description to justify the time filler to monetization. Or if you're just after the brainless clicks and hope to be another flash in the pan RU-vid millionaire... .... ....
I purchased an 06 Cayman S last year...specs almost exactly how I would have new. I drive the hell out of it... doesn't matter as I am going to have it 10-15 years and I do not care what it is worth when I am done...it is worth every penny to me.
The 911 was my dream car as well fell in love with it from Condorman so I finally bought a 2007 C2S Cabrio in 2017 that was in bad shape and DIY'd it back into a very good condition, everything working superbly well. Unfortunately the car just wasn't for me, perhaps because it was a convertible, the body roll around bends was very noticeable and I didn't like it at all, very wobbly, I sold it. If you know how to drive them they're very fun cars, but I would seriously recommend a coupe over a convertible, perhaps this is the reason why coupes generally cost more.
I've had my 1993 RS America for 17 years and still go, "Wow" every time I look at her. Oh Yeah, We did 190 Laps on the Nurburgring too. I love the Ring.
Dream car is a 370z but I got a 350z but the car didn’t last and the motor blew this weekend I was forced to sell the car 😭 but the next dream car is coming 😊
As for my dream car, it depends on the type of vehicle. I have quite a few classic Chevys as dream cars. The '66 Chevelle SS396 would be my own personal "General Lee". Late 80s Ferrari 328 GTS is one. I own one of my all-time dream trucks, a '69 1/2 ton Chevy Pick-up. And I own my dream luxury car, a silver 2004 Jaguar XJ8. I own a black 2012 Mustang. But an SS Camaro or roughly those years would be my own personal "Knight Rider" because it's General Motors and my#1 choice of pony car has always been pretty much duked out between the Mustang and Camaro due to my being more Chevy than Ford. Firebird/TransAm would still be in there, too, if it were still in production. As for just a practical & economical car, I'd say the early-mid 80s Diesel powered W123 Model Mercedes mid-size sedan. Even though it's considered a luxury car because of brand, it's the VW or Toyota of the MBs. But the major obstacle there would be finding the right one because I estimate that only about 2% of those did actually come anywhere near living up to their reputation of being able to run forever. So with that said, that would be narrowed down to an '83-5 300D Turbodiesel with roughly 200K original miles and still starting right up every time and maybe still consuming little or no oil between changes which is rare but out there. I could come up with more cars easily including a Porsche Boxster or BMW Z3 or M3 and there would be too many to list.
How the fuck am I to narrow it down to my all time dream car? Any 911, a 72 XA Falcon GTHO, 77 Torana A9X hatch, 71 VH Valiant Charger E49, MKI Lotus Cortina. So many cars from different eras and different genres of motorsport FAAAAARRRRK!!!! WHY!
I also dreamed as a Kid of owning a 911. I've owned some really cool cars most recently a GT350R. However! I've always wanted a 911. Finally, after a lot.of research and stumbling onto this channel, I finally bought my Ideal car. 2005 911 C2S with the most desirable options to include fully electric adjustable Sport seat. The car was not perfect but the price was. Bought it under 30k and I drive the piss out of it now. A little TLC my own wrenching and some cash, and she is a dream boat now!
I bought a 1999 996 for $5k at a garage sale. Hadn't started in 4 years 60k miles full roll cage and lowered - new battery and new brakes fired right up and later tracked down the shop that did the work to make it a track car and turns out the owner had invested $30k into the car. Upgraded 3.6 engine - GT brakes, adjustable suspension and more. I have owned multiple 911's (82 Targa, 2004 911, 2009 Turbo ) and now this. Cant stop smiling - its the most fun visceral experience driving it. Keep searching people - they are out there waiting for you.
Well I have to agree..Never thought I would but im on my 2nd Turbo..1st was 930 slant nose I sold rite B4 they went Krazy in Price, But I never loved that Car, Not like water cooled engine! The 3.6 Turbo engine, add some Xtra Shit & monster..I've had this one 5yrs, love it🎸
You paid close to 30k for a German sports car? For less, a 370Z is just as quick or even quicker and more reliable and cheaper to maintain and upgrade without it trying to kill you. A 370Z also attracts more attention because no one bought them and people don't know what they are. I've seen way more 911s, Corvettes even Lamborghni's more than a 370Z.
My dream car was a Boxster believe it or not. Saved up. Bought one 7 years old for 20K. It’s still my daily. Worth every penny. If you are a Porsche fanboy like me, just do it. You won’t regret it. They are fun, reliable, reasonably practical, and reasonably inexpensive if you don’t buy them new.
911 Sports Targa I had the misfortune to be driven Leeds to Edinburgh mid 1980's, thought it would be so cool but it was LOUD such unbearable wind noise & the most uncomfortable car I have ever sat in - looks way cool though no doubt - get a Taycan - nothing embarrassing there.
Yo for real Tho some Cars are way cheaper than I thought I thought that it would be impossible to ever afford my dream car but you can find older model like 2012 for around 50k I was taking about a GTR
At 5:40, Mr Ideal says "... any 911 is going to inspire a ton of confidence ... just point, keep your foot down on the throttle [i.e., and don't let up] ..."
I have a 996.1 C4 Aerokit, bought it for decent price, drive the living snot out of it and it's the best car I've ever owned, just takes the abuse and loves being driven 💖🚗
I’d say that tires are the main costly expense, right? You can’t rotate them and they wear relatively quickly. Even new tires don’t come with much tread on them.
What is the point of driving a sports car of such elegance like the 997 Porsche when you have a carnival float mounted permanently on the roof! Why not slap on some spinners and a tow bar as well.
First dream car was a r34 gtr skyline but once I got older it’s been a 911 Carrera s ever since enough power imo and you can truly push the car to its limits without scaring yourself
Porsche come one man compare it to a girl that beautiful car will cheat on you in a heartbeat as soon as you don’t spend more &$$$$ on maintenance, who’s with me __________
you riced out a 911 to attract attention.... thats' exactly the opposite of the reason of owning a Porsche.. a polar opposite of what the car is all about.
no less drive train loss at all. put one on the rollers and you'll see about 30% loss same as most road cars weather front mid or rear engine. and if its a c4 then you will see even more transmission loss. by the way a c4 is not the same as a turbo just without the turbo. do some research before making these vids as its pretty embarrassing to watch.
