Beautiful Job! Have you tried to polish out the darker colors to obtain the original brushed brass look? Just curious if this can be put into a tumbler or sanded/polished with a very fine grit paper. The centering/alignment appears a little finicky or it lacks a fine adjustment stage or method. Where does the vaporized metal go? Does it get trapped somewhere?

I don't have this laser, but I have a 50w fiber laser. Galvo lasers are great for bulk runs, but you trade off work size. Anyway, what you normally do is set up a jig so all that you have to do is drop in a new coin without trying to readjust the alignment. So, that's why her images aren't centered on the workpiece. I presume she was primarily concerned with testing out engraving quality rather than image alignment. The dust and odors are exhausted outside. You can see the circular grating on the platform tower. It's vital that you exhaust when engraving.
