As someone whose fear of death was debilitating and just the thought of being left alone once buried and having to face my own weakness as a Muslima, what has eased my fear is strengthening my connection to Allah (swt) and being at one with my own essence, through my breath. On the physical plane we are born alone and walk through life alone regardless of how many people and loved ones surround us and yet no one can save us or be there for us every second of every day but our Lord almighty…HE doesn’t leave our side for a moment and even though we don’t acknowledge HE’s presence HE is ALWAYS there in the silence between every breath…Losing my close family members over the last few years has helped me see and accept death as a door back to the my true nature, going back home after a long journey into the arms of my Lord and sustainer who awaits to reunite with us… What could be more beautiful and more liberating. Alhamdulilah🤲🏼🌸

I love this topic I am actually young but I never had any problem of thinking of aging I think it is sooo beautiful and you get so many advices to give to people and especially if you are in the path of Allah imagine...you spent all these years to worship Allah and seek forgiveness I think I will be sooo grateful In Shaa Allah❤

Thank you, Brother Ihsan for this beautiful video. I am reminded of something Shaykh Fadhlalla Haeri said in one of his talks. Something to the fact that as we age and lose the ability to do things, our bodies can either become a prison or a sanctuary. Hence the importance of cultivating the heart.

It reminds me of how the awliya don't degenerate in the grave. Aging is a rememberance of death and some people go one extreme in trying to reverse aging and overcaring for oneself. And some fall into depression or despair and do nothing to take care of themselves or associate past habits that they used to be able to do when they were young with the old age process. Yet when you connect with Allah who is the source of Hayy (life) you connect with something that never dies and the emergent illness or physical appearance of aging is just an illusion the more one connects with this source of life.

Great point, thank you. Sums up a lot of wisdom and the basic and essential idea behind accepting death and our many issues with it being related to our inability to reconcile with that constant that we seek in places other than God.

Fearing death is a reflection of low vibrational life. We want to meet our Creator Allah, but we are afraid of walking through the door that leads us to that realm... As Souls having a human experience, we need to drop the double standards

Actually I also have a question brother Ihsan and I would be very happy if you could speak on this topic I heard one day an islamic scholar say that manifesting is not good bacause then why Istikhara prayer is there? And I started to ask myself, if there is the Istikhara prayer when we truly have a desire to manifest something then why manifest and visualize and seek what we want to seek if Allah doesn't want it to happen Can you please speak about the istikhara prayer brother Ihsan? Thank you for your videos👍
