Hi Mike. The lathe has been in my collection for a couple of years sat in a box 😬 the attachment is something I picked up more recently. It's a nice machine but I haven't collected the accessories for it as avidly as I have for the SL or Cowells lathes.
NO, that statement, that the top 'guard' stops sparks is wrong!, the TOP one is more crutial, it stops particles from a discintegrating wheel being thrown into your eyes!!, instead it deflects this debris downwards. the spark stops are most commonly those plastic eye sheilds you see which sometimes have magnifiers in them, THEY stop the sparks going towards you, as they are above the work.
