I like double checking to ensure I'm following the instructions right so this video was very helpful. Man, my hardest part was getting the back on because it was a tight fit to line up both sides for the bottom screws!
Same here! Customer service referred me to your video. The back was difficult. I loved the comment that Staples would do for $15 - dude - that should have been offered before I brought home. Thank you so much for your help!!
Thanks for this very helpful video. Lining up the backrest to insert the screws was a major pain, but your heads-up about alignment saved me even more aggravation. At the end of the day though, I wish I hadn't been such a cheapskate and paid the Staples assembly fee of $20.
Thanks for this video! I swear the instructions tell you to attach the seat to the wheel spot before they show you how to put the back on. That makes it super difficult to put the back on because it wants to wheel around the floor.
Not the easiest chair to put together. It’s a challenge to get the matching holes to line up on the back rest. Ideally have a 2nd person help. It took me way longer than it needed to for the last 4 bolts. Gorgeous chair and super supportive though. I got it on sale for $130.
Just picked this up. Picked it up from staples on sale for 129.99. AMAZING chair. Like wow. I love this! Perfect for gaming. Office work. Reading. And even watching movies. Kind of sad you cant lock the tilt to a certain position. It’s either on for rocking or off for straight posture. But either then that its amazing!
i screwed the assembly up and i cant hold the armrest in place cause i put it on the cainster first how do i get the seat off oh no after a few tugs i got it off and im bleeding too thats a bonus!
i would not recommend this chair. here is why: putting the backrest on was a major chore. no matter what i did there was no clicking into place like you described. now the chair is a little tilted with one armrest being 1 inch higher than the other. the holes lined up so i know i did it right otherwise it wouldnt bolt together. the backrest is a little more straight up than most, on other chairs the backrest leans back a little more. if you are a heavier person (like myself) after sitting for a bit and compressing the foam inside the seat with body weight, because of the way the armrest brackets are bolted too high to the side of the seat, you can feel them pressing against the side of your leg and it can get painful after a while and you have to shift your weight from time to time to compensate. also, the shaft where you insert it into the bottom of the chair did not click into place when i sat in it. it seems to be a slightly different design than yours and maybe is press fit instead? this is a light chair and i think not suited well if you are overweight. i expect to only get about a years worth of use on this chair before it breaks down. also, by default the tension on the recliner is all the way screwed down so leaning back is very stiff. it will have to be adjusted for less tension right out of the box otherwise the back of the chair will spring right back to the upright position. good things about this chair? its not a short seat base like other chairs from this series, it has some support for your legs. the chair looks good. its fairly comfortable other than the sides of the armrest pressing on the sides of your legs like i described above. i guess thats about all the good things about it. as far as price, its a decent price for what you get but unless your a skinny teenager i would not expect this chair to last very long.
Thanks for your feedback and I agree with you. Following the instructions from the book and making a visual video about it, I found that the hardest part was exactly what you mentioned. I have read others saying the same thing. Thanks again for your pros and cons and for watching my video.
u described exactly what happened while i was setting this chair up. i thought i did everything correctly and now the chair looks like it’s crooked and one armrest is higher than the other. also, some of the caps for the screws won’t fit onto the screws. idk what to do
you can add a few washers to both screws towards the back of the chair that hold the base to the bottom of the chair. that will angle it back. keep in mind tho that once things loosen up a bit after using the chair for a while, chairs tend to start leaning back all on their own. i agree, the back leans too far forward but its tolerable for me
My son recently bought this chair and there seems to be something wrong with the lift mechanism- it does not appear to be pushing the button on the hydraulic gas tank. If I knew how this assembly was supposed to look and work I feel I could get it back to working order but I can’t find anything about this issue. Can you show the lift mechanism in action somehow or can someone point me in the right direction. Thank you.
Hi Jackleger9386. I don't use mine as such and I don't know if you can. I recommend looking at the manual to get the answer to your question. If your chair sits steady and can spin around, I say you assembled it correctly.
Is there a way to fix this chair if it’s tilting towards the right corner Example would be if one is sitting on a broken couch where your body falls toward the hole in the couch How can I disassemble the center piece asking because the plastic pieces one puts in before sitting on the chair are incorrect
im having the same issue. the chair is tilting slightly to the right. measured from the floor, one armrest is 1 inch higher than the other. i did everything right, the holes would not line up correctly if i didnt. see my other comment for more info.
I just ended up calling the manufacturer they didn't tell me the size or anything but even though it was past the 3-month warranty with Staples I still had like a year warranty with them so they just sent me a new one free of charge
Any suggestions on the tilt? I’ve got everything assembled, seems to be together as it’s supposed to, goes up and down. Doesn’t seem to go down as far as the assembled ones in the stored, and despite turning the knob underneath all the way in both directions, I’m not getting any tilt
it leans back but by default it is very stiff and must be loosened up using the turning knob underneath the seat in front. i did notice that it does not lean back as far as other chairs iv had.
my chair did not click in place once i sat on it. it seems to be ok and does not wobble. i assume they designed some of these chairs a little differently from others and some may not so audibly lock in place with that click@@MYPROJECTS101.
I put together the chair as per instructions but I have to tell you that this is terrible chair because it makes creaking and squealing every time you sit or move your butt. Unfortunately the return period was only two weeks and I am stuck with this chair. I don't use it because of this problem and it is in my garage become completely useless!! Chinese Cr@p and i don't recommend it
