Yes, I love this show too. I’ve been sidelined for a long time. I miss the other staff and the patients. I want a critically unstable patient. That’s such a bizarre thing to say, but true. Well, maybe next week.

@@juliejustus6878 no I’m not in a wheelchair. Although there are some who do. Unfortunately my license will run out next year. I haven’t been able to practice due to neurological and memory issues.

@@juliejustus6878I am a retired/ disabled RN. Before I retired I applied to many hospitals and care centers, including Hospices. At the time I was using a cane to walk. And although I was really qualified to work, nobody would hire me, despite their claims of EEOC policies.

I live and work in San Antonio, TX USA. I work in a micro hospital with 7 emergency beds, 1 doctor, 1 nurse, 1 lab tech and 1 x-ray tech besides myself, I'm the patient registrar. I love watching this show and seeing all the drama and the compassion from the all of the staff. It's nice to see the behind the scenes of this operation works. Great job to all who participate behind the scenes and in front of the cameras! Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see more! :)

I worked in the medical field in the USA for 49 yrs. I love this program as it shows what is going on in a hospital setting. This is a responsible way to show people that don't work in this profession how things work in the hospital.

I was a nurse for 42 years this show is so interesting I love watching it, you get to know what’s really happening before the patient comes up to the hospital room. When I saw my patient they were all clean and taken care of already, those nurses and doctors are the once that do the worst part and they are the once that safe their life’s, all we did upstairs is taking care so that they can go home some day. I’m writing from the USA .

It's a great show. I love that the patients embrace it as well and we get to hear their stories, even when it's sometimes a sad ending. It's also interesting to see how things get done differently in the UK. Here, you'd never have to wait for a bed in most wards of most hospitals. There are always empty beds. One doesn't have to wait to schedule even elective surgery. Of course their is a high cost for that excess capacity which get's passed along to the patients.

I've been binge watching this channel for several weeks now since discovering it. I am so impressed with the *utmost care and compassion the staff gives,* and I also say a prayer for all the souls who depart from this mortal world and give thanks to the loved ones and patients who gave their permission in documenting their illness and or urgent care for this profound medical documentary of those who work around the clock in saving lives. Cheers from a tiny island in the middle of the western Pacific...❤

Just think for those of us the USA where we have that gut wrenching pit in our stomach while wondering how much our insurance won't pay for! in 2019 I broke my wrist and it was $9,000 out of my own pocket! My Dad got a pacemaker in 2021 in the UK cost $zero! No insurance premiums, no co pays, no deductibles no max out of pocket. What a concept!

I think these type documentaries people who aren't in the medical field, just how the A&E is ran and how they triage patients in order of seriousness of their injuries. Also shows the stress and sometimes abuse the staff have to deal with.

Ultimately it will be compensation for the Kings Hospital. If It brought my baby, my toddler or my partner in a lifesaving situation I know for a fact that if everything goes well the patients will come out better for the high calibre systems and team work. I would not at all give a fluff about a camera.

43:30 That woman was so difficult to watch, trying to bully her dying mother into continuing to live (as if it were up to either of them). I cringed when she spoke to her mum like that. While I know she wanted her mum to live, the mum knew the end was near. As someone who watched her own mother die, treating her in the same way was the last thing I'd have done.
