Pro-Palestinian encampments are growing at Boston-area colleges, after more than 100 protesters were arrested at Emerson college. Their demonstrations come as Israel appears poised to siege the Gazan city of Rafah, where more than one million Palestinians are sheltering in makeshift tents. GBH News Reporter Tori Bedford and Harvard Crimson staff writer Azusa Lippit join host Crystal Haynes to discuss what they've seen and heard.

These are not pro Palestine protests as Palestine as such does not exist ecept as a political leftover ftom Roman ccopting of Judaea and British expediency: these are hate protests that not only vociferously chant for the destruction of Israel, but of America and Western civilization.

This is repeat of great students protests of France which changed France forever. This protests of US university students should go into the history books. Never give up until you achieved your goal, where all international bodies UN, Security council, ICJ, which are cronies of US failed in cease fire in Gaza &prevent genocide, this students protests movement is the only last hope in Gaza ceasefire. Students from different countries must start this movement in their respective countries.

@ponnaga. The left started screaming for a ceasefire on Oct8th. Israel was still mopping up the last terrorists in Israel, hadn’t reacted, hadn’t done a damn thing. Yet they were screaming for a ceasefire. Despite Hamas having broken a ceasefire to commit these war crimes So WTF should Hamas be rewarded? These professional activists and students should go to Gaza and support them if they wish but they won’t like how they are welcomed.

Correction The demography of Palestine Almost 19 million Arabs in Palestine along with 7 million Jews. TSAHAL controls all the western Palestine, 14 million souls Including 7 million Arabs and 7 million Jews. Wikipedia provides numbers All the area of military control is ~28500 square kilometers. Israel=Western Palestine. It is three times larger than Lebanon and three times smaller than Eastern Palestine occupied by the Hashemite kingdom of Abdullah II (89343 sq km). The monarchs of Eastern Palestine succeeded to increase the population by birth rate and bringing Arabs from Arabia, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon. The result is spectacular ~ 12 million citizens. In 1947 only ~500000! Compare with Israel: ~1 million in 1948. All in all Palestine houses 26 million souls.

The primary problem with not just Israel’s policy toward the Arab world, but the USA’s and much of Europe, is that it is theocratic in nature, and gets its inspiration in that respect from just one religious interpretation or point-of-view. As long as that dominates, there will be horrible abuses of the Palestinians and much of the entire Arab/Muslim population - and any and all groups - religious or not - that oppose theocratic rule and religious fanaticism.
