At 1;17 minutes in, the speaker claims there is video evidence showing students threatening Jewish people while holding a Palestinian flag. Where is this video, CBS? Couldn't find it? The video I saw on my local TV showed these students holding up Israeli flags. What goes? And BTW, "intifada" in Arabic means "uprising" or "shaking off" of colonization (as the UN recognizes has occurred on the West Bank), or simply resistance. The Jewish student interviewed seems to think, as does CBS, apparently, that "résistance" to genocide is anti-Semitic. OMG, save us!
"I support people's right to trespass onto private property and hold protest in private institutions even after the institution said that it is against their rules..." Also the majority of these "students" couldn't even provide student ID
The students should have expected suspension, expulsion, and losing scholarships, which are natural consequences from certain behaviors. Just like if you go against your parents, you lose privileges.
The University should be able to act in place of parents? Is this how we should think of public institutions and the government, as raising our children?
@@Chese93 I agree…FREE PALESTINE is not a hateful chant….that’s fine….the death of all children….Palestinian and Israeli and Ukraine, Syria….is disturbing and a terrible loss to their families and the world…
@@kingpinsmith22 So selecting out Israeli genocide, financed in large part by American tax-payer foreign aide, is anti-Semitic? However, glad you admit Israel is practicing genocide in Gaza.
NOT on private institutions. Freedom of speech does not allow people to right to break onto private property and conduct protest that is against the school rules.
We must force the US government, which supports genocide, to stop aiding the perpetrator - Israel. We will not achieve anything through peaceful rallies. Join us. Our mothers, fathers, brothers. Defend our common freedom, defend democracy, defend us from the police and military who have become an instrument of terror in the hands of Zionist politicians. Free citizens of the USA! We were a stronghold and hope for all freedom-loving peoples. But the government's support for the oppression and genocide of the Palestinian people since the founding of the State of Israel has shown us who those who have seized power in our country really are! The government has become a den of Zionists, which does not take into account the will of the people and continues to support terror, oppression and genocide of the people who rebelled against oppression. Some will say that we ourselves elected this government. But no! The Zionists have arranged the laws of the electoral system in such a way that we are asked to choose only from Jews who support Zionism. Our great-grandfathers defended the free future of their children and grandchildren with blood and weapons in their hands. And now the Zionists, having seized power over us, unconditionally support and help in the oppression and genocide of the freedom-loving people. This criminal government orders the police and military to silence our voices through beatings and punishments. Police and military, I call on you to protect us, our freedom and yours, the freedom and hope of your children and grandchildren. I call on you to come to our aid and drive the criminals and Zionists out of power. Security services, police, military! You are now, executing the orders of the Zionists and their assistants, executing the orders of the assistants of the murderers of 30,000 thousand women and children, making us - your children and grandchildren - slaves of the Zionists, murderers of innocent children and women. Help us cleanse the governments of supporters of the fascist government of Israel, which has been carrying out genocide and terror against freedom-loving Palestinians for 70 years!!! If the Zionists and their minions now break our will for justice, we will never again be able to raise our heads for freedom! Don't let this happen! Protect us, protect your children and grandchildren from lifelong slavery to the servants of evil, from lifelong slavery to the Zionists! Spread it!!!
While America has freedom of speech & freedom of expression, it doesn’t come without responsibility because freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom of consequences.
The American government, a peddler of humanity and democracy, has shamelessly exposed America's democracy and human rights to the world by torturing students in the anti-genocide movement.
Proisrael said in front of media cameras: "We are afraid and feel unsafe about this demonstration😢". but they stood watching at a close distance and even broke through the pro-Palestinian demonstration😂😂😂😂😂🤡
Civil disobedience is an American tradition. It started with the writings of "Henry David Thoreau" he was America's foremost naturalist, essayist, poet, and philosopher. His writing inspired Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi of India to create movements for peaceful protest for change.
Henry David Thoreau refused to pay his "Poll Tax" for the "Mexican/American war" in 1849. He saw the conflict as war to extend "Slavery" into the California, New Mexico, and Texas. His "Civil Disobedience" created a movement that would not allow New States to have "slavery" as part of the United States of America.
Here let me fixed it for you Ziotroll: Free speech does not equal freedom to disturb AIPAC Zionists agenda trying to get billions US tax dollars funds to commits Genocide and Apartheid in Palestine.
@@BottingIsWhatIdo Palestine never had free speech or a constitution. It’s an Islamic country who execute people for speaking against Sharia Law. No other religious freedom is permitted. Example-Hamas backed Government would execute people for participating in Pride Parade 🏳️🌈.

I’m reminded of that episode of The Brady Bunch where Cindy was being teased for her lisp by Buddy Henton-Peter eventually punched him in the mouth, and then he had a lisp
For protesting? Only those who publicly are insinuating hate speech must be detained and revoked of their student identity. However, those who are protesting against the relentless support of the United States to Israel have the right to do so especially since their tax money is going straight to them for arsenals. Don't let a few bad apples generalize a whole group, bc that's just blatant prejudice.
You can absolutely say whatever you want, just understand that some things that you can say might come with some consequences. if you aren't willing to accept the consequences, Don't say it
Geniuses with 100,000 plus interest a year tuition. Something just doesn’t add up. So education is affordable only for certain groups that know how to chant correct slogans…
These student are preventing other students from attending class, or disturbing lectures. They are mostly in a confined space that has more to do with optics than preventing the operation of the Universities they are taking place in. Using such overwhelming force has more to do with politics than practicality. Violently opposing the protest in Columbia which cause every major university in the US to start similar protest, further use of violence opposing those protest will likely cause more debate and change in public opinion about the US Israel relationship, and the role campaign finance and special interest has in US politics.
As a northeastern alumni, this rally is ridiculous. While everyone does have a right to freedom of speech, it shouldn’t disrupt classes and impact other students not involved.
@@NoNO-tl8fg The US CAPITOL 'peaceful' protest are more frightening as they bring guns and militia to US senate building. These are just bunch of kids.
Surely somebody has told you this before, but if not then hear me out.... freedom of speech does not mean you are free from any consequences you may incur from misusing that freedom... by all means I am free to run around calling people racial slurs, but if I catch a good beating in the process I'm betting you wouldn't show up to defend my freedom of speech now would you?
The US congress hardly criticized HK police and government for the brutality against students peaceful protest and now the US government doing exactly the same to their own? Hypocrite, shameless and double standards😂😂😂
I think it is our moral duty as students to protest against genocide. The US government should be ashamed of themselves for attacking students. Free Palestine ❤❤

ISRAEL HAS EVEYR RIGHT TO USE US TAXPAYERS MONEY TO FUND IT ECONOMY. Who cares about US citizen health, education and basic needs. Here my Billion Dollar money to aid your history teaching to Palestine. ISRAEL HAS EVERYRIGHT TO HOLOCAUS PALESTINE AS ISRAEL HAVE BEEN HOLOCAUSTED BEFORE. 31,000 Palestinian died are lower than 6 million Jews killed in Holocaust. So Israel should do more. Sharing experience is caring, and can teach the world about the true anti-semitism meaning.
Brave to the young students who are speaking out. Israel, with the complicity and support of certain European and American politicians, has been implicated in severe actions, including the deaths of approximately 195 children per day in Gaza, along with 180 women daily. The ongoing violence is disgraceful, and it's crucial that we voice our concerns. What is happening is immoral, and those in power in the West who support these actions will be remember as mass murders. These actions, which could be seen as war crimes, will always leave a mark. The lives of all these children will not be lost in vain.
Many thanks to all dear brothers, sisters and students for expressing solidarity with Palestine. Please help. God bless you all. We love you. Thank you
