I loved hearing the children's laughter, too! It reminded me of my first symphony experience at circa10 years of age witnessing a masterful delivery of the score from Disney's 🐠 The Little Mermaid 🧜♀️ (1989). What a thrill! Now, I can appreciate how fulfilling it may be for artists to draw such reactions from their audience. Many commentors noted how good 🌺Emily 🧸🎶 is (deservedly so), but i liked your acknowledgement of one little reason she might have to put in the time and effort of practicing to enhance her God-given natural ability into the mind-boggling talent she has cultivated... it brings 🎁joy to others! 😁
Sandra, you know once you did that, going to classical concert is actually fun. Notice at the end, she actually accurately matched EVERYTHING Maestro Tom Cat did all the way to the end.
THis young woman is simply sensational, she is an accomplished classical pianist, an accomplished classical composer, an accomplished film score composer, a top quality jazz musician and composer and on top of that she is a fantastic showman (or showwoman if you prefer) and then to round it all off she is a delightful person who happens to be a very beautiful woman.

There were pianists all across USA who accompanied silent movies providing mood and drama. My wife’s grandfather did that. Kind of a lost art and now amazing to see a 16 year old post-millennial to not only do it well but with flair and humor like it’s nothing but play.. Amazing!
You are still able to study this, there are still world class professionals who do this e.g. on many silent movie festivals/events around the world. They improvise on the spot or there are sheets. There was e.g. the 33. silent movie festival this year in Bonn/Germany in the Schlosshof of Bonn University. Perhaps this would be something for Emily.

Genius! Every great concert pianist plays this piece, Adam Gyorgy's and Tiffany Poon's versions are the best I've ever heard. But Emily puts this spin on it, and it's pure delight. Thank you!

Been playing, composing, arranging, for orchestral stuff, too, most of her life, started when she was 2. Started playing recitles at 4. Writing at 6. Wrote a piece for Ellen's show. Wrote a piece for Ellen's wedding. Wrote the beginning and ending pieces for Ellen's movie. She's played all over the world. She was taken under Quincy Jones' wing and has produced 2 full albums. Last I heard she was just 19. She may be older now...don't know. She has been on Ellen's show at least twice. She played for DANCING WITH THE STARS. And she has won a Grammy!!! I think I remember that she has been inducted into the music writers something or another...can't remember! And she SINGS, too! SHE'S GENIUS !

I've been following Emily's music since her first CD years ago. SO happy to see her again! I can't say why exactly but she just is the greatest treat for me with watch and listen to. I think her talent and understanding for music and her showmanship is unparalleled. She seems always to execute even the most difficult pieces with such a relaxed demeanor while delivering wonderful music.

Her reactions during the play are gold. And whoever thought of the idea to add the jazzy/swing part in the performance, just cause, is/was (the cartoons are very old) should be added to every godly pantheon as a principle.
It was in the original cartoon like that. At that part, Jerry sabotaged the performance by switching the piece to "On the Atchinson, Topeka and the Santa Fe", which was a popular song at the time.
Fantastic job, Emily! I saw that cartoon, as a kid and have always wanted to learn that piece. I have the music for it and have played around with it (the original, not the modified version you played) a little. As a kid, I learned a simplified version of it that's in one of the Thompson, method books. You've inspired me to, maybe, pick it up and seriously study it. The cartoon that really got me interested in that piece was a Woody Woodpecker cartoon where Woody plays that piece, (Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2), on a piano that's on top of a train. Eventually the piano falls off of the train and breaks apart into a million pieces, and Woody keeps playing on the keys even though they aren't really attached to the piano anymore. It's a hilarious cartoon. I love the Tom and Jerry cartoon, that uses it, as well. I love your performance of it too. You're amazing! Keep on playing! Of course, I don't need to tell you that. If you're like me, you love playing the piano way too much to ever stop playing.

If this is Emily Bear’s own channel: Naturally, you like to show as many people as possible that classical music is fun! I think you’ll find your own ways of doing so, especially being a composer you can "do stuff" other people can’t - like you showed with All By Myself already… The main thing is to have a higher purpose in your heart, not just play to please the public, because they simply can’t give back energy on the level you give them, so they tend to pull you down. That’s not "good" or "bad", it’s just how it is, and the reason why many artists have gone ways they shouldn’t have. Your job as a human being is to develop yourself, not to be a star - but you can combine the two, for example if you set as your target: making the angels applaud :)
