In my opinion, his new stuff is corny because 1. The beat selection is pretty bad 2. The lyrics are cheap and corny wordplay 3. His new styles and flows are also pretty bad. Although im a fan of fast and skillful flows, i wish people would understand that just rapping fast is not enough to make a good track. When he goes back to his ‘original self’ its also corny because at his mature age rapping about edgy things like he used to do comes across as very childish. I think the thing is he can't go back. He can wear the suit of his older self but he can't embody it. It's hard to grow older in the industry.

I think what he thinks people want and what people actually want don't align. This song comes off corny because "Slim Shady" the character never cared about the fans; just shock value. I don't think it's the best song he's released but it's definitely an interesting song with different intentions to what Anthony believes (although as other comments have said, he's sorta predictable in that sense), and I'm curious to see how the album sounds. the use of AI in the music video was super cool as well, great example of how it can be used for creative purposes.

But then you also have records like Darkness which is just a boundary pushing blend of story telling and message delivering combined with meticulous rapping. He elevated and brought new ways of rhyming. So, Em been elevating certain aspects of the culture, and has been doing it his whole career (apart from revival).
