I actually can't believe I have stumbled across this, I recorded this onto VHS I think back in 99 from the UK urban TV show FLAVA. It's mad to think that Eminem was walking through the streets of London back then and not a soul knew who he was or how huge he was going to be. As much as I've loved watching Eminem evolve as a rapper and as a human over the past 20 years, I have to say, this early period of his career was when I first got to know his music and it will always be my favourite period. This was the purest version of Eminem.

I kind of agree with both points of veiw here! Whilst what made him so famous was his nuts screw loose attitude which made you think "Wow this guys completely INSANE" 😂 and had a talent to go with it too. He truely DIDN'T GIVE A F**K! But I kind of agree that is is lirically more talented now then back then! I miss this side of Em too. He was a mischievous kid at heart. This IDGAF attitude was pretty epic, but honestly it’d just be weird to see him like this at 47. The way he sounded on Kamikaze and MTBMB was as close to young Em as he could get without it coming off like a sad attempt to recapture his youth. It’d be like me playing with action figures. It’s not the same as when I did it 20 years ago, and it wouldn’t be natural or spontaneous. It’d just be a grown man acting like a child.

That part of the freestyle after the Aaliyah line reminded me quite a bit of the track "Right For Me" where he just goes off on a ridiculous little classic Em tear, specifically some of the lines around this part: "On a NASA shuttle flap, fuckin' snapped the rudder in half // Chuckled and laughed, buttaled my last rebuttal // And just asked him to come crash"
