@@thetruth8404 I think you're probably the stupid one here let's be real here. Even the guy above you somehow has more brain cells than you and that's sad.
I think Eminem said it maybe before both. On one of the invasion mixtapes he says and if I'm talking too fast it just means you're listening too slow. and if you listen a little faster maybe you'll catch up b****.
@@malarkeyhere does the speed of him rapping affect anything really. its what the artist is saying that makes the different and how lyrical they are in doing it. you can label all rap as "people saying a bunch of words" but that's not really saying anything is it.
ojas51 well Rap God for example is an amazing song in terms of Em displaying his lyrical ability but he’s was not being lyrical in that song. And for Rap God that type of rap style fits the song, for Godzilla however, that type of style doesn’t fit it that’s why in my opinion the last part where Em raps really kinda ruins the song. Just like how if Drake were to sing on Rap God it would ruin the song. I hope you get what I mean.
James Marriott Yes the speed of him rapping effects the vibe of the song that he’s trying to make(look at my other reply to ojas51) and it also makes the lyrics worse when you try to rap faster because ur rhyme schemes have to be simpler in order for you to say them quicker.
@@Vmh1717 Kay, but what I think people don't understand is that Em's pretty much done it all. He's solidified himself as one of the greatest, his first 3 albums are classics. "Old Em" was indeed 🔥🔥. But "New Em" is a MUCH better rapper. You can argue that his music quality has decreased because of it, but his lyricism, bars, wordplay, technical ability are far superior now than they were back in the 2000s. Idk, everybody can have their own opinion, but I would put MTBMB in my top 5 Em albums. It gives me TES vibes with a much more modern sound.
“I liked the record Godzilla but it was just too much rapping in it...” are you f’king serious. People hate & complain for the sake of hate & complain...This album is 🔥🔥🔥 and solidifies Em to be the GOAT.
People complain just to complain. First hes not rapping good enough, second he dont have something to day, then when he has somethin to day people complain, and when he raps a blackehole into existence it isnt good. Yall are backwards as fuck 🤣
Stephen can we agree that these guys don’t seem to understand a rap album from Eminem, like when your listening to the Rap God,you should expect many fast raps,i don’t understand how these scums don’t get that ever since Em dropped Rap God’s fast verse.
Too many words went over your head... PAC and Biggie didn’t have the style of too many words style he was talking about... Em basically rhymes a hundred words per verse without having any punchlines... No individual full bars to remember just a bunch of rhyming words..
@@johnpichon689 no one cares about that, in the end its just focusing on the lyrical miracle alone. I will admit his rapping is good but he also needs to focus on the song. Lyrics dont matter if it sounds like shit
A-Lo too many words? What is that even. How’s that a bad thing, rap is a musical artform that’s based on words and it should be the rapper’s goal to challenge themselves on that. When a singer sings, they challenge themselves by hitting as high a note than they did previously. Well that’s the same as a rapper, they challenge themselves by putting as many words, intricate wordplay, storytelling etc, as they can
its a valid criticism, too much rapping not enough content, he just rhyming words to rhyme words, he can rap fast and flow thats cool but what is he saying? he's saying "like a liars pants, im on fire" lol foh
Mal: it's not replayable. Joe: you had to work, you didn't listen to it. Mal: I listened to it twice last night when it came out. Joe: so you replayed it then.
@@averagebeetle becuase its eminem.... Everything he touches is great.. Idk how to explain it... Like dude said its to wordy?.. He went hard the whole album some of the tracks shouldn't of been 100mph.. And Young M.A. is better then what she was in this track.. Had her chopping but Em went ham...
@@JBD915 oh,that swimmer swimms to fast,to many strokes 😂😅 oh ,this 3Pointer makes to many shots to many times in a row, the Dirk Nowitzki of Rap...nope, whites should get banned from Basketball 😂😂😂
@Walking Classic aye g you're supposed to listen to the music before judging it. It doesn't gotta resonate with you, thats perfectly okay but saying it has no substance makes you come off hella ignorant
And I bet if Eminem were to rap at the speed level they prefer, they'd say that Eminem hasn't changed, that he's doing the same old thing, and he's "generic."
They'd say "oh he's slipping, getting too old and not as talented any more. Can't spit as much as fast now." I like how Eminem balanced that with a lot of music that just sounded really good though he just does a little showing off and then back to the music. So that's OK.
Nahh his flows been the same since forever. He needs to do a club record like Jesus fuck.. em’s a vibe fasho but come on man.. come out with something that will get us moving an wanna dance
Em did his usual rhyme a bunch of words and flow fast shit he been doin. I understood what Mal was sayin. The vibe of the hook and beat didnt really call for that
@@CideEffectsDesign SMH I see you didn't understand the comment, Rory even pointed it our perfectly. He doesn't NEED to do anything lol. So if it's all a game you naturally would try to outdo yourself and if you have the ability to look up the lyrics to fully understand what he's saying the bars may seem superfluous, but they are still incredible bars.
Mal been listening to rap before that 69 kid been born wtf r u talking about Stop taking words out of context and making assumptions, just bc ur a kid doesn't mean you have to act like one
Theo Hanna like saying Led Zeppelin was too guitary. Stupid people shouldn’t be allowed to give opinions if you can’t see the aim of the music why are you critiquing
No it's fukn not, Eminem never used to cram this many syllables in his verses. Sometimes you can say a lot more with less and not every instrumental needs fukn speed raps. Im more impressed by what you say than how fast you say it.
This is painful to watch..cause you can tell they’re fans of Eminem and keep up with everything he does but then talk like they aren’t impressed cause they’re jealous lol they know damn well if Eminem showed up there and told them to jump they would jump
@@bowlofsoup12 its completely uninspired. his music is so generic and surface level. eminem has become corny because he has never matured. his only arc is becoming sober. he still talks about the same shit and raps in the same way. his production choices have gotten worse and worse over time.
Joe has always maintained objective towards Em even in the hottest moments of their beef. He's never denied Em is in his top 5, a wordsmith, or arguably the greatest of all time for him. I know it's fucked up that he throws shade at Em in between compliments because of his ego and reputation. But if you care about hip hop, this is the type of people you want giving an opinion about it. Real hip hop heads who are passionate about it, and who have done this shit themselves and aren't just radio celebrities like Charlamagne for example.
@@fernandopulido4232 No he hasn't, he downplayed a song about Cops killing Blacks because he cares more about promoting his personal bias against Paul.
“Too many words.” Compares the song “Smack that” to this album.. Terrible comparison. One song is about going to the club and is a FEATURE. the other is a album that’s about lyrics .
@@baca802 you also notice @8.49 Joe's face was like, are you sure you wanna be saying that, didn't you listen to kamikaze, and you obviously haven't listened to this album properly, otherwise you wouldn't be saying that 😂😂😂😂
Jon Lidgard he raps at a much slower pace in some of his best songs. Stan, my name is, Superman, when I’m gone, etc. none of those songs have this ridiculously fast flow.
@@ghostsmaniac5227 he's evolved so much since then though lol you can't compare him from now to then, 2 different skill levels. Yeah I agŕee with what you said, but Eminem is on another level now and he could literally just put out songs like the Ringer which has no chorus, and still kill it. Choruses aren't his fortay in my opinion anyway, I just love listening to him destroy a beat.
@@ricoco7891 I wouldn't say kamikaze as pandering. It was more "I know I'm good fuck you" Kamikaze came after the "backlash" for the "woke em" when he had something to say going off the intro song and people didn't want meaning they wanted a "idgaf I say what I want" and that's music to get murdered by imo. Kamikaze was a more retaliation album to the "negative" feedback from revival
Joe actually showed mad respect in this review I actually liked hearing him talk about it !!! Mal seems like he is trying to make Joe happy by still throwing shade lol!!!! Joe is turning over a new leaf !!!! Felt like it to me!!
Did he really admit his brain can’t comprehend at the speed Em can speak 😂 I guess he want remedial rap. Challenge yourself instead of knocking high level lyrical talent.

eminem wasn't rapping about being in club exactly, he was just reminiscing on his younger years and painting a picture of what they'd do on a night out. its just a fun song for his fans. chill out rory.
Yeah, the wordplay on that song is insane. "Opposites attract, I'm someone you're no one, I'm high and you're bi, I'm cummin' you're goin'." And for that to mesh with the previous verse ending is genius.
Yeah and he likes to give different fans some of what they each want. I'm a huge fan but I don't need any more of the "domestic violence is cool" songs. Aside from anything else they're becoming so repetitive. God I love some of the stuff on this new album though. Yah Yah, Unaccomodating, Lock it up, I will.
"To many words" LOLOLOL this is the worst case scenario from listening to trash mumble rap for to long you forget what real hip hop is. Mal out here with dementia like "I cant remember a bar I heard 30sec ago"
I have been a fan of Eminem for a long time, and still am, but let's be real.. he tries a little too hard sometimes. That's coming from someone who liked the album. It's not even about how many words it's how he's using them. Yeah he can make that work but why..? There was another big album dropped on the same day, used maybe a fraction of the words Em did on his album and they all meant something...
Mark Harrison i mean bc he’s said he love that shit , rhyming crazy and always giving it his all he does come off trying hard sometimes but i mean dude came from battle rap he loves trying his hardest but i understand
@@aesop2733 Totally I can't vibe to too many words unless I got time to think which isn't much time. However he was like this before SSEP like Biterphobia which is cold but the problem is I'm not into beats which seems to be the raving thing nowadays I prefer the MC manipulating the beat which he use to do when I felt he actually flowed with them most of these beats were simpler too, I just feel having too many complexities makes it harder to listen to. I felt it started with MMLP2 this whole shouting flow sort of stuff. Recovery and prior he was better which should on Forever which probably could be his top 5 features which showed pure skill.
Eminem killed this album. Surely his best in a long time, and everything was on point. Lyricism is top notch, beats are great, dope features, great concept for an album, he has one of his deepest songs ever on this album, has anger and rage, some vintage em, and even the softer light songs were pretty good. I loved every track. Thanks for the fire album Em.
Mal: "It don't have a lot of replay value. Joe: It's an hour old Mal: I listened to it twice when it came out...." Joe: "So you replayed it" I'm dead. lol

But over here in the fast pace, hip hop world? We will bump Shady, along with other lyrically beast. Catch up! Shout out to EM! Dope album bro!
To 69 props for trying to live that lifestyle but he could've backed it with a decent debut album. Sounding like the bottom of the barrel sound cloud rapper generation. Pass

Also let's be honest. We all know that Em makes clubbing type songs as sarcasm. Hence why he said back to his D12 days when he did My Band and Smack That.
&& I’m not saying that just because he admits it was a hit that he likes it, I’m just saying that this is one small example of how Rory will find some sort of way to agree with joe on anything. It’s a reoccurring theme that I notice when watching/listening to them.
@@sevs1625 What is that even supposed to mean? LOL. Em even chose more flow beats and people to make the chorus more singy. And what is he supposed to do? He is a lyricist
It's impressive how Eminem's able to always switch it up and semi reinvent himself with every release instead of being the same artist that he was two decades ago still. How else are you supposed to develop as an artist without experimenting, it'll get boring staying the same. Lower your unrealistic expectations you've set based on your idea of what eminem should sound like, and you wont be as critical.
@@PC-gk2co wtf you expect from someone who secluded and already said most of what he needed to during his first three albums run? Give the man credit that hes trying. Do you say the same thing about drake? I dont want to hear your bullshit.
If we were to be honest this new Eminem album is nothing new. The problem I have with this album is that he brought a concept to it and failed to stick to it. And I hate saying this cuz I wanna like his music, I have no expectations for him at this point.
@@bryansantos6613 ironically, having no expectations allows you to appreciate art for what it is. One of the reasons I'm able to say eminems album was great is because I'm not expecting anything, other than what I generally know eminem will come with like the typical toxic relationship song, lyrical acrobatics, shocking lyrics, etc. I'm not comparing it to anything else all the way through. Everything he does on this album is done exceptionally well. I actually have my interpretation of what the theme of the album means, and art is subjective so other will interpret it differently. The way I see it, one of the parallels of this album was to remind people how much of a hip hop head eminem is, before finally "murdering" that whole discussion of jamar with the last track. Then afterwards alfred says "if you've been murdered, good night." I feel that intro track leads directly into the last track, because eminem said at the end of premonition, "play this at your eulogy prepare to die this is music for you to be murdered by" and I think when alfred said on his skit "enjoy until the coroner comes," it's like he's in the waiting room per se. I will has this haunting cemetery vibe that fits the theme of what's about to happen.

Dean-Prince 589 he explained why he said that , y’all in the comments reaching being biased . Album is ok nothing crazy cohesion isn’t great and his flow is just on a thousand all the time like where is the Stan style raps or beautiful type raps like slow it down and make a dope record you don’t gotta blaze every flow is his point . It feels like sometimes he just raps to rap instead of fit the beat he don’t try to fit the beat at all any more . 🤷🏾♂️that’s not hate that’s a fact. That’s why a lot of fans don’t connect with the music cause it’s just not good as it could be if he’d take his tome like he used to , and make it flow together like a story .
Blue Flame Hughes Dude I don’t know if you even listened to the album but his flow throughout the whole project fits the beats, with the exception of the end of Godzilla.
Nick H still missing the point flow is fitting words where they don’t fit he does it a lot bro gonna just have to agree to disagree . Give it two weeks this shit not gonna be talked about . It’s cool but some records just forced got a good 5-6 songs that’s good the rest decent to mediocre
Side A is a classic. He hit a new modern stride with this album. Such a good balance, some amazing concept (Darkness, Never Love Again) tracks, and everything fit, unlike MMLP2 and Revival where they felt all over the place... Side A... everything feels in-tone.
Eve Mora album is dope af, but the execution ain’t all there my guy. not close to perfect, but WAYY better than his recent past releases conceptually & sonically
There is value in simplicity. Eminem rapping as fast as possible in order to flex his technical skills isn’t impressive. Yes, some of his verses were way too wordy, especially on Godzilla.
