It was recorded in 2021, I agree that it kinda sounds unlike him sometimes, but that's only really due to the fact that Eminem destroyed his recording equipment while having a temper tantrum before recording this. So yeah, the recording quality falters a little bit because of that. I did put Eminem in timeout after recording, because (as every sensible person knows), it's not ok to throw temper tantrums and destroy expensive recording equipment.
I'll agree that this song does sound like Stan in some aspects (what with the intense, detailed lyricism), but generally intends to communicate a different lyrical message, and the instrumentation is a lot different
It's real, Eminem recorded this and I witnessed it myself. He wore a wolf costume while he recorded it to prove that this track resembled the "sigma coming out of him". Still a pretty crazy moment to this day.
