Ppl saying its not better than the original. Well duh. The original is iconic. But rihana did a good job in my opinion. And im sure if eminem didnt think she could do it... he wouldn't have asked. Ppl have got to stop being so rude and nasty. Eminem loves rihanna so that's all thay matters.
I don't hate her. I like Rihanna. I just don't think she's as lyrically gifted as a lot of other female singers out there. She is more of an entertainer IMO. Dido and Elton sounded much better singing the hook.

O.K. forgive me for growing up with singers with real talent like Whitney, Aretha, Tina Turner, Chaka Khan, Mariah(whose getting lazy lately with her music & performance but can sing circles around you & Rihanna), Celine Dion(not a fan but she can sing),Alicia Keys & the list goes on. You don't know you're being cheated by the recording industry that's presenting you today's singers that don't have an ounce of talent.
Funnny thing is, everybody disses on Rihanna but who ever does i bet they dont have the nerve to be on stage infront of 50,000+ people.. Instead of dissin her imagine how nerve wracking it is. I like dido also but damn people lighten up!

Muita gente falando que Dido deveria está cantando com Eminem e a mesma coisa foi quando eu vi Taylor Swift e Demi Lovato cantando (Live Your Life) e Ariana Grande cantando (Love The Way You Lie) as três simplesmente estragaram a musica da Queen Rihanna!

I agree with you that Dido would have been better and Skylar Gray would have been awesome too. I know Em and her work well together, but there was a wow factor with Rihanna that you get. I will admit that I was surprised to see her come up. In the moment, I wasn't too concerned about her performance and also, I was there for Em, not her.

mitnica4west I didn't say that because of her voice (which is bad ...) but because Stan is like a sacred song. I don't like a lot of duos he did these last years but I accept that he evolves and has to sing with the new generation (Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars ...) but he can't touch Stan ! He can't ask her to sing it with him. What's next ? He will invite Bieber on stage to perform Till I Collapse ?? He wants to sing with these people ok, but not on his amazing old songs !

Rihanna cant sing live, she ruined the original version. Dido & Em would have killed it. She only has had good collaborations with Em cos of her auto tune that saved her! I did used to like Rihanna's music. It was actually when I came here & listened to this for the first time I thought her voice doesn't sound anything amazing, if anything quite flat. I know Dido is different but I thought her voice comes across a lot better, more soul to it. I used to like Ri's songs, but I dunno how I feel now listening to her knowing she relies a lot on auto tune and that she isn't as talented as I originally thought. Everyone has an opinion on what music they like that's the whole point, we all have different tastes. Personally I think there are stronger artists like Mariah Carey, Beyonce, whitney houston, Alicia Keys list goes on. Times have moved and she only became famous cos the new genre don't know what the real voice is any more, which is sad really.
