He had a smoother flow back then and his wordplay flowed better, Em now is prolly trying to just show his versatility and how far he can go with rhyme schemes, entendres, cadences etc- opposed to perfecting a specific style

Dude, you're right! That beat is horrendous but suddenly Em just starts laying punches into raw meat and it becomes one of the funniest songs I've ever heard. The bass player in my old band played this for me in my car when it came out, I damn near passed out!
The ultimate diss is that Em didn't even think Canibus was worth an entire diss song, so he threw in Dre's beef with Jermaine to make it worth the effort. Love it.

Eminem didnt kill Everlast in Quitter matter of fact Everlast was asked by B-Real to stop the beef cause BReal and Eminem had same manager or some type of shit like that, and BReal and Everlast good friends, otherwise Eminem would not come out of that beef very well, you should listen to Evidences "In Search of Bobby Fisher" another diss that came out of the same beef between Eminem end Dialated People and Everlast, and guess what Proof asked Evidence to not diss Eminem again (cause Evidence and Proof friends) and told him to not reply to the track that would come out dissing Evidence, Eminem got it easy because of his contacts asking his opposition out of it
One of my favorite diss tracks of all time. Not for the lyrics, or the beat, or any other singular item....for the sheer disrespect he shows by clowning the entire time. I think the lackadaisical way he approached this song was more of a diss than the track itself.

Good? I think that's an understatement, man. Canibus was a fuckin' beast, probably the best up-coming young MC at the time, and pretty much untouchable in his prime (1997-2003). Em was speaking very highly of him before their beef started, he was even calling him "the God" and things like that in his early interviews.
Ask yourself this. Why did em go at other rappers in full battle mode but he wouldn't dare do the same when facing canibus. Eminem knew fall well that canibus would have been a serious problem for him. He didn't want to take that risk. So instead he goes around telling the world how he beat canibus when the actual hip hop heads who have followed the beef will tell you that's nowhere near the truth. There was no rap battle! Nobody won!

What´s cool about Eminem, is that he is just not like a "poet", but he is also like a "narrator", he tells you a story, and if the words don´t fit together, he makes them fit like man, very creative dude. You can tell he cares. Other rappers can have bars and whatever, but they lack soul and creativeness.

The Canibus song here is doo doo but Eminem's song was actually a response to another Canibus song called "U Didn't Care". Basically a concept song of what happens to Stan after the end of Eminem's original Stan song. There's also a skit just before the song called "Stan Lives" where Canibus is hanging out with his buddies and he witnesses Stan driving over the cliff and and he goes to save him. Probably not worth checking out but it's definitely better than this Canibus song. Also, when Eminem asks what happened to Canibus's style... he's referring to the raspy hard voice that Canibus uses because on the album with those tracks he uses his regular voice to rap and it doesn't sound nearly as good.

For some reason this video came up in my feed and I saw this comment scrolling. I actually went and watched it after this when this came out. I knew NOTHING of that feller...I knew NOTHING about battle rap (I couldn't even get over that they were yelling so hard they spit on each other's faces and it was okay...😳). With all of that being said - once Cannibus pulled out that pad of paper, even I felt bad for him. ME. I was impressed with the amount of respect was shown to him. But damn.
