Correction: that nosebleed was natural, AND she did it on purpose. Anya Taylor-Joy has the bizarre skill of being able to have a nosebleed on command. No joke, you can look it up.

I can’t remember the last time I like such romantic classics movie but Emma is certainly my favorite, i lost count on how many times I’ve watched this and yes this’s my favorite scene too, in this 5mins scene I cried, I blushed then I laughed 😂

I remember seeing an interview where they said they had been trying to use a fake blood capsule and they couldn't get it to break and they had fiddled with it so much it irritated her sinuses and caused the natural nosebleed

she lied lol. she has a habit of lying about things. someone who worked on the film said that she snorted the blood capsule up her nose by mistake which triggered a real nosebleed. so no, she didn’t just magically will herself to have one. good publicity though.

Sort of. Basically the nosebleed is in the script but the take they used was when she had a real one instead! 😅

“Epic nosebleed”? It’s the worst thing about the entire movie, including having to see sooo many butts. Butts and nosebleeds are all so uninteresting. Tell me you’ve run out of ideas to engage your audience without telling me you’ve run out of ideas to engage your audience. 80% of the movie was fantastic. But just because your leading actress can get a nosebleed on demand, doesn’t mean you should put it in your movie. Otherwise, this would have been one of the best romantic moments in cinematic history.

This was just weird and awkward. But I guess the director thought it was soooo funny and decided they just had to leave it in. I guess it’s the price you pay for these kinds of movies getting made nowadays.

@@multifandomperson8703 This is supposed to be art. It’s doesn’t fit the tone of the scene and nothing else in the movie is this jarring, except maybe the baby coughing up on Emma. If the film had a more consistently offbeat tone this might be fine, but there isn’t nearly enough humor of this type to make it work. It’s just weird and random. Makes sense that it wasn’t planned.
