Emmanuel "Manny" Rodriguez scored a victory in bizarre fashion against Gary Antonio Russell on the undercard of the Deontay Wilder vs. Robert Helenius pay-per-view at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on October 15, 2022. After an unusual head-butt between the two fighters, the fight was stopped after nine rounds and sent to the score card with a technical decision. Ultimately, Rodriguez won by unanimous decision, bringing his new record to 21-2.
