I saw this in person - Emmy sounded much better than I thought she would. When she sang this, time stopped and the audience was quiet. I think people are being overcritical of her and many of the people who don’t like her are comparing her to her grandmother. It’s an unfair comparison because Emmy is not really a country singer. But that’s what makes Emmy’s voice all the more interesting.

A combination of contemporary, country, and pop... It is hard to describe her singing accent... The most accurate thing I can think about her accent is ....... magical, angelic, and heavenly... 🌠🌌 . . You will win... Emmy... You are not required to dance on Disney night....... She sings in cursive. We moved past that era. There were more talented people who could have had this spot. People who don’t have the opportunities this young lady already has in this industry. She didn’t need idol to put out songs.

I think it had more to do with the piano playing. She seems to have not had enough time to learn the song on the piano and it was throwing her off vocally. Just my take. The voting is done on the previous weeks performance so we shall see for next week.

starting at the piano, ever the artist, arranged the song to fit her style. Smart. She sounded confident, missed a few words, stayed in it. It had a nice lilt. Thought she was ramp it up but didnt. She kept it cute.

Emmy reminds me vocally of Leigh Nash and Kristen May of Vedera, but with her own uniquely beautiful hues. She is authentically a true artist and storyteller and I find her really refreshing and delightful to listen to. Some people perceive nerves and shyness for weakness, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. Showing vulnerability and heart is not weakness, it's a superpower. Go Emmy!

Emmy’s voice reminds me a lot of Cindy Lauper. I can picture her singing “True Colors.” Her voice is different. Not all successful singers are pitch perfect but have distinct voices. I like her voice and she seems like a very sweet girl. People need to stop being so negative and lift people up.

This was really pretty! Not as good as her second song as this was not the song to slow down. Don't expect her to dance around the stage. Maybe just standing still with a guitar would have worked best for this song. She still did a great job with it.

There's only two country singers though. I don't view Jack or Emmy as country at all. Emmy is more singer/songwriter and pop. Jack is more americana folk rock.
