😭 I love this song! I've lost family and friends to breast cancer. I admit that I am late for, what I call getting freshly squeezed, so Monday morning I will make my appointment for a mammogram. I hope all you ladies on here will too. My best friend lost one breast and was in remission for 12 years. It came back and metastasized. (Spread throughout her body.) She was gone in less than a year. I miss her so much. Thank you AB.❤👏👏👏

I saw my sister go through breast cancer and this is a very powerful song and Martina McBride is one of the finest singers of all time and she nailed it the message was beautiful

My grandmother had it, and survived. It came back twice more in different forms of cancer but she is here today. Even though she is legally blind now do to other health issues: She says she's rattling but still rolling. I hope to have her strength, humor, spirit, fight, fearlessness, at her age of 86. We have lost others to cancer in body but their spirit is guiding us. Fight, love, and cure!

AB, first let me say I absolutely love your reactions! You always put a smile on my face!! I am a HUGE Martina McBride fan and I have seen her live 3 times. Martina’s songs usually always have a great message. She even sings about things that need awareness but most artists are afraid to touch like domestic violence and child abuse. Two more Martina McBride song recommendations that are great examples of this are Independence Day and Concrete Angel. I don’t know if you have thought about this yet but I do think there is a way you could authentically do another Broken Wing reaction….which is by reacting to a live performance of her singing it. When I saw your thumbnail yesterday, I was so excited to see your reaction to that last note.😭 Every time I have seen her in concert she holds that note even longer. 10 years ago, My Niece was 1st Diagnosed with Breast Cancer,💗 When She Had Just Turned 12 years old (but she found the mass at 11)...She didn't tell my sister for over six months, Only After She Was Told About Her Great-Aunt, Dying From It, Before She Was Born...It was very hard to find a Specialist for her age, at the time, but, They removed The Cancer just in time, went through Radiation, and Chemo. 2 years later, Cancer Was Found In Her Other Breast, and had to go through everything again. She's Now Doing Great💖🤗, and has been in Remission For Over 8 years Now. I was given the diagnosis of breast cancer 10 years ago! My friends and family were everything! I'm 4 years cancer free!

I love listening to Martina saying. Every time I listen to this beautiful song, I get all choked up and teary-eyed. This is such a touching song. I can’t even imagine going through what so many women have gone through. I’ve had friends who’ve not survived. God Bless!!!

My baby sister was diagnosed with stage four cervical cancer at 39. She by the grace of god survived. Though she has been left with on going issues that will last the rest of her life we are so grateful she is still with us. She survived and a year later she's cancer free. Our dad was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer that metastasized to his lymphatic system and brain just as my baby sister was declared cancer free and ringing that bell! Our dad's cancer is to far gone for chemo or radiation to have any positive impact so he has chosen to smile everyday and simply enjoy his remaining time with his three daughters. He has his eyes fixed on heaven. Even though he is in no rush, he is happy in knowing what awaits him! ❤

This song was written by someone in the bluegrass gospel group The Issacs. This was the woman (Lily) and her daughter (Becky) that spoke just before Martina began singing. The group also includes the son, Ben, who can play anything and Sonya, who is their lead singer. The father and mother divorced after this point. They have another song that went pop, Why Wait, which was written by Sonya's husband, Jimmy Yeary, and sung by Rascal Flatts.

This song gets me everytime 😭😭😭 My grandmother had cancer 4 times. once in her kidney and breast cancer 3 separate time. She got over the kidney cancer with no problem. But the breast cancer hit her hard, she lost both breasts to it and she was always so embarrassed by getting it.. we stood by her through everything. We told her we were proud of her for fighting and beating it but it still bothered her. Her siblings gave her an ornament with the breath cancer ribbon and she hated it it broke her. This woman was a power house, fought and beat everything that came at her with such strength. She past away December 4th of 2021 of old age. I miss her every day...

THIS ONE.. full disclosure my daughter has been battling (not breast but another female cancer) since 2016 ... this song and "Rise up" by Andra Day ... everyday day .. these are the rallying songs ... those days when she is tired and can't lift herself up .. when the treatments get rough and they do ... she is a part of a clinical trial.. those ladies help her do it. !! Had a hysterectomy at 28 because of Cancer. I never would've survived it without my sister and my nephew. That boy was my guiding light and he was the reason I kept fighting. They were with me every single step of the way. The before, during and especially after. He became the son I would never be able to have, That was 20 years ago this year. I'm still here. I am very familiar with Martina but don’t think I’ve ever seen the video for this song. Wow, that was powerful. The purpose of of us all being on this planet is to love one another through ‘it’…whatever it may be. Together we are bigger than it.

This is such an incredible video and song. It always gives me goosebumps (and I've cried once or twice). You owe it to yourself to check out Martina's song "Where Would You Be"! The video is a live performance and she uses her "pipes" several times per chorus! It will blow your mind. The performance is also pitch perfect. It's almost super human....

This one is heartbreaking. There is an interview on Good Morning America (I think that's the one) of a little girl who while het Mama was so sick from the cancer treatments she would sing this to her. Then on Ellen they asked that sweet girl to sing it. In just a few words in Martina stepped from behind the curtains and sang it with her. Lord I bawled my eyes out. Just thinking about that precious child being strong for her Mama has the tears rolling. She is destined for greatness. Broken Wings has been seen on other channels. Don't know what the problem could be. It's just being mean to you.

I had my whole thyroid removed in 2007. had my right lymph node removed in 2014. i had a scare with my left lymph node in 2020. I'm very single. I'm 37. I had family besides me though. I lost my cousin *bestie* to cancer 5-27-14. She was only 24 yrs old. her mom and dad have full custody of her 13 yr old daughter. Isabella is Lindsey's mini me so much. Isabella and my 13 yr old daughter are best friends now it makes me happy and teary eyed too because Lindsey isn't here to see them be like us. I miss her so much. Cancer sucks.

I think she's singing about breast cancer but to me it's all cancer..I lost my sweet sister July 29, 2017 to colon cancer and the world hasn't felt as warm to me since the day she left. We survived childhood abuse and trauma together and no one knew my heart and soul the way she did. She suffered more abuse from a younger age trying to shield me from it and suffered from many personality disorders because of the burden she carried until she could no longer protect me from our abuser😢😢😢😢 She was my angel on earth and now she's my sweet angel in heaven...my sweet sis, Laura aka Laura Belle, aka Lalabelle ❤❤❤❤
