I am always saying WE GOT THIS in real life and online. We all have our own struggles and I believe we can get through anything together. When I was diagnosed with cancer in September, I thought this was my own struggle but I realised my cancer has affected everyone around me. I am a daughter, a girlfriend, a sister, a friend, a cousin, a grand daughter & more. I know my journey has affected everyone around me and I know now more than ever that I have no choice but to get better. Whatever life throws at us, we are going to get through it together. We Got This

It's a massive shock Tiff you need time to get over that shock and process what's coming, which is what you are doing right now which is good because you can't block it out , have the hospital offered you anyone to talk to ? it will help massively to talk to someone that's not family and get it processed so you can be in the best possible frame of mind going into this. The next year is going to be so hard, but you can do it and you will have the rest of your life ahead of you and you will go on to do lots of amazing things and have a lovely happy life with Matt, you just have to go through this awful part now to get to that happy part. You can do it

Tiffany, I hope you read this. 9 years ago, I went through something extremely similar. I have a rare cancer called PMP (Pseudomyxoma Peritonei), which is a form of appendix cancer. In almost all cases it seeds the entire abdominal cavity with hundreds of tumors. I was stage IV, and my initial surgery was 18 hours long. (I've since had 3 more tune-ups; they average about 9 hours.) So far-- and typical to many PMP patients-- I've had the following removed: the entire large intestine, part of the small intestine, all of my belly fat (greater and lesser omentum), a full hysterectomy (including the vagina), the rectum, spleen, gall bladder, appendix (happy to be rid of that traitor!), the peritoneum (which is the entire lining of the abdomen), a chunk of my diaphragm, my entire tailbone, and have had tumors removed from my bladder and inguinal lymph nodes. I have an ileostomy bag (and I can assure you that after a brief adjustment, it's not difficult to have), and a ureteral stent (a long tube connecting my kidney to my bladder since my ureter was a casualty of war). I like to say I'm traveling light! :) I've gone into the last 2 surgeries not knowing if I'd wake up still owning a bladder, or if I'd lose that as well, so I completely understand the emotional uncertainty of cancer surgeries. I found I've been actually calmer than expected, because I have experience with the ileostomy bag now, and I know that I can simply tend to one more bag if necessary. Small price to pay for this magnificent gift of life! My story is in no way unique-it's a carbon copy of many, many PMP patients-so know that if all of us can do it and thrive afterwards, you can, too! Be hopeful. You are not alone, and there's a good life on the other side of treatment. Sending my best strength vibes and a warm hug.

Tiffany- my husband had same cancer as you and had this surgery in 2018 (for Colostomy). He was stage four colorectal cancer and I want you to know-- he is still alive and cancer-free today. He started treatment in 2017 so he is nearing five years cancer free. He did chemo, radiation, and then surgery to remove most of his colon and the rest on down. Much love to you-- the colostomy is hard for him at times, but you get used to it and it was definitely worth it. Miracles happen-- Praying for you.

You can not live with chemotherapy and surgery. Because cancer stem cells is not gonna be killed with those methods. You are ganna die with those. Coc protocol is stemming from UK . LOTS OF koreans cure cancer with it. People change it Originally coc is 100mg mebendazole 80mg artovastatin 1000mg metformin doxycicline 100mg etc but it is not enough to kill cancer cells..but koreans changed it and added more.. For 3days in a week 2400mg mebendazole 30ml olive oil 1000mg omega3 and for4days liposomal vitaminc 20-25g( once in a week vitaminc injetion 50g) 100mg doxycycline 500mg arzithromycin and everyday naltrexone 3.5mg vitamin d 5000iu 1000mg metformin 400mg egcg 800mg pterostilbene 4000mg quercetin 100mg melatonin.... 30 people who is terminal cancer patients cure cancer in korea.(doctors gave up but they cured cancer)

@@user-yp8jv8ch5j I really haven’t had any negative side affects with chemo so assuming I’m just going to die is a a bit much. Lots of people beat cancer with chemo. Now I’m not saying you’re wrong and it may not kill all the cancer but again I’m no where near just dying. I have however thought about looking into alternative methods so I will look into you’re regiment. Saying people are just going to die is kind of insensitive and I’m not normally an insensitive person. So maybe when you talk to people about things like this you do it a little less harshly. This is my life we’re talking about.

Tiffany, my dear, I am so sorry you have been given this frightening journey to traverse. You are going through all of the normal fears, grief, anger, & confusion that would be considered normal in this circumstance. Each person who has been given a cancer diagnosis has also been so frightened were afraid they would not live. But then we realized we could handle one day at a time. Then after each new day we realized that maybe we could do that again. Then all of a sudden we decided that maybe we had a chance because “hey” we DID handle all of those previous days. YOU are a strong young woman who has shown that over and over. You TOO can do this! I can laugh now when saying that when I found out I had a very rare form of melanoma 4+ years ago and researched my diagnosis every piece of information said I would likely die within a few months. Although much older than you, it scared the H-ll out of me. At the same time I got mad and decided if I was going to die then I was going to buy a used convertible and enjoy my short time left. That was in February of 2018. Last summer after enjoying it for 3-1/2 years and being cancer free since Sept of 2018, I traded it in realizing that after all I still had a lot of life left. You are NOT alone in facing these scary challenges but you ARE strong and you NEED to do what needs to be done, whatever challenges that leaves you with. Because in reality it is ALL you CAN do! Also, when they say you can only have one visitor in ICU I am pretty sure they mean at one time. Amma and Matt should be able to alternate who comes into the room to see you but it can only be one at a time. Too much going on in ICU, too much equipment, and some families would fill the room if there were no rules. Staff needs room to do their work without having to deal with multiple visitors. You have thousands of us who support, pray for & love you. We believe in you and your strength to overcome this and to accomplish great things going forward! Life is waiting for you and you WILL make the most of it, I am sure!

Have you thought about asking your Oncologist if there is someone who has been through a similar surgery that you could speak with, or find a reputable cancer group so that you can speak with your peers about what to expect and have them share their stories too? That is something we can do in the U.S. if it seems like that would help. 💙

Tiffany, I ended up in hospital with a pain in my stomach. I woke up 2 weeks later in an ICU with a permanent ileostomy. I’d no warning at all. My advice is to reach out to support groups and chat with people who’ve went through similar surgery. Everyone’s experience will be different, but it’s good to hear how others coped. We are all here for you, listening and praying for you. 💕

Great suggestion. Tiffany, you are a very strong young woman but some support from support groups or your medical team would be helpful for you. This is a lot for anyone to deal with. Allow yourself the emotions. Try to stay focused on getting your strength for the surgery. You have a wonderful and loving family, lean on them, you don’t have to be strong all the time. Keeping you in my prayers. ❤

You are blessed to be at the best hospital for cancer in the UK and get the best care - many people cannot dream of that. You have a great support system, many people don’t have that. Tiffany...YOU GOT THIS!! Everyone's cancer story is different. It could be the same stage and type but how I handled mine was different than how my bestfriend handled hers, my aunts (3) handled theirs, my uncle handled his and my grandfather handled his. You're championing your journey. Anger is normal. I felt so full of anger during my battle and didn't have anyone to be angry at. After a year, I screamed. I screamed while alone, sitting on the sofa, while watching TV. My mind took me back to all I'd gone through and I had no more tears...all I could do was scream. Scream at the top of my lungs. Afterwards, I felt lighter. I had so much bottled up anger, anxiety, frustration, unhappiness and buried under all of that was my scream. As I'm typing this, I've realized that, that scream was my voice. The voice that I lost when the doctors took control. When I realized I had no control of what my body was doing. Betraying me. BUT, here I am 11 years later....feeling good. Grateful for what the journey taught me. You'll get through this! You absolutely will. All survivors have a date..a date that cancer was eradicated from our bodies. Mine: 1/11/11 (11 days before my 39th birthday)

Hi Tiffany, I've been watching you since your diagnosis. I too was diagnosed with stage 4 gastric cancer at the age of 21. I was just about to graduate with my masters degree and it felt like my life was just about to start but I started to get really sick and received the worse news of my life. I can't do surgery as the cancer has metastasized to other organs so you can get everything out. I'm currently just doing chemo to basically live as long as I can. I am 23 now and trying to make the best out of the rest of my life but it is hard. I often get sad and depressed and wonder what's all this for. Last week I had my an appointment to be apart of a clinical trial but found out that I might not be able to qualify because I have brain metastasis. That really made me sad because if I couldn't donate my organs to save lives I wanted to at least donate my body to science to help people in other ways. Right after that appointment I had a seizure. It just feels like my time is coming and I am deeply afraid but I'm still trying to be positive and know that I have lived a good life. Watching your videos and we'll as other cancer patients usually help because it let's me know I am not the only one dealing with this but it still sucks for us. Wishing you the best.

Tiffany, I rarely comment on videos, but I just wanted to say I’ve been watching you for about a year now and you have been so strong and have persevered through so much! Although the surgery is not going to be easy, you have so many people that love and support you and will be there for you during the times that you really need to have comfort and love and just some words of encouragement to keep you from getting into a dark place in your mind. You got this girl and you got all of us here online whenever you need to talk or just to get your mind off of things. Just remember that the present moment is temporary and the future still has so much in store for you - we will all support you from getting you through this time right now in this present moment and be there to cheer you on & to celebrate with you in the future of you being cancer free!!

Hi Tiffany, you’ve been challenged certainly more than most. You’re a real person with emotions & fears, you’re not glass; you’re a real living child of God. Having fears doesn’t mean you’re faithless, it means you’re human. Your tears do not mean you’re weak, it means you’re human. I hope you feel ALL our love & support. We got this Tiff💙

Sweet friend, this is hard. BUT YOU ARE KILLING IT. Here is our Cleveland Clinic Foundation Oncology nurses thoughts: 1) get yourself an amazing (mental health) counselor who specializes in cancer NOW. Today. A specialist. NOW!!! 2) DEMAND that they hook you up with and to meet other young women needing a bowel resection. Learn this is ok. It’s ok to have an ostomy. 3) we think they’re telling you that your surgery is called Cyto-reductive with HIPEC. 4) yes they will “remove all the cancer cells” and don’t worry about the length of the surgery, you’ll be in good hands. 5) then they will fill your peritoneal cavity with a very special warmed chemo and for 90 minutes go back and forth slowly to kill all remaining cancer cells. (PLEASE ASK ABOUT HIPEC- this is absolutely crucial for this cancer) 6) you may wake up different, but you will learn to adapt very quick! 7) we nurses will TEACH YOU how to feel and be normal again. And it will be BEAUTIFUL!!! 🥰🤗 8) you can have more than 1-2 people with you at all times, we promise you. 9) celebrate everything and clear your head. Decorate and celebrate up until the last hour. Stop worrying about everyone else (see step ONE ABOUT YOUR SPECIAL THERAPIST!) 10) stop saying no and GET THIS FREAKING CANCER OUT OF YOU!!! We love you, xo- all your ccf nurses Ps these numbers aren’t in any order, we just went around the room saying all the important things and we are rooting for you. GOOD LUCK!!! When you said that cancer is not a sprint, its a journey... Oh yes, yes it is a journey. My daughter, my 7 year old beautiful soul was diagnosed with leukemia last June, and she gives us lessons for life. She, just like you, has this love for life and even when its difficult she is light and smiles. Praying for you ❤️

Oh Tiffany, I am just so sorry that you are going through this, but I have been blown away by you every step of the way. I think you are an amazing a beautiful young women, inside and out. Don't ever lose sight of that or how far you have come. Four months ago I was told my brother was not feeling well and had some chest pain. They suspected lung cancer. As you know, you only have to research something and they start bombarding you with things that might be of interest. You popped up on my RU-vid feed and I was drawn to you. My brother has only weeks to live. It has been awful. He isn't that old but didn't stand a chance because it wasn't picked up soon enough and he wasn't physically fit enough to undergo treatment. As hard as this is for you, you're doing so well and now you are at the point where you can hopefully be cured. It won't be easy and life will change but so many people are praying for you and believe in you. You Got This! The fear of the unknown is often worse than going through the operation and once it is over, it is all about recovery and my goodness you've been a star doing that all along. You will, mark my words, surprise yourself and everyone else at how well you do and how soon you get home. You have your Christmas early and then have another one when you get home. Don't ever feel guilty for crying and feeling angry. You have tackled this with amazing strength and are stoic through and through. Get better and then write a book because you have a story to tell. I wish my brother could have had a go at tackling his cancer, but when I see you it makes me realise how lucky he is to have had his children. One day I hope that you will get to hold your babies in your arms. I truly believe you will and all this will fade into the distant past. You are on a journey and you are just about to jump that final hurdle. Sending you all my love and prayers, not only to you but your lovely family and Matt. X

Tiffany, I found your channel after losing my dad to cancer. He would have to have an operation similar to yours, to remove the bladder, but there was no time or conditions for him to be able to have the operation because of his age and other associated health problems. I'm so, so sorry you're going through this. I wish I could take it all away from you, you are so special and touch so many souls in this world. This is coming from a Brazilian girl watching you, you have no idea the impact your strength has for so many people. With that being said, it's okay to be sad, this is not the news you or us wanted at all. It is okay to grief, it is a part of the acceptance process. My heart truly aches for you right now. Seeing you crying makes me cry, I see in your journey many things from the journey my family went through as well with my dad's cancer. I know that it's a major surgery, and that you will have challenges, but you are young and you will be able to recover from this, I really believe you will be able to live a good life after this nightmare. I wish I could give you a hug. It will be a new life with challenges, but it will also bring you a new look at your future experiences and your relationships with your family members. You will be able to live to the fullest. I truly, truly hope you will be okay. I can't believe how you handle this journey, it is absolutely inspiring, and I also understand how difficult it is on you. Sending you so, so much love 💙it is going to be okay in the end!

That was tough to watch, Tiff without being able to give you the biggest hug. I am so, so sorry this is happening to you, and please be angry and please mourn the old you who would never have thought you could get through it all. Going through your cancer journey has given you a strength and a wisdom that no one should ever need to have. When I was going through this with my son, I got angry when people called me brave because being brave is something you choose and cancer is a cruel disease which does everything it can to take away your plans and your hopes for the future. For now, you must rest and cry and laugh and do whatever you want and need to do. I love Christmas too. If you feel up to it, I would put up a tree and some decorations to let cancer know that it might have changed your plans, but it will never cancel Christmas for you. Let it see exactly who it's up against. Or postpone Christmas until you are out of hospital? It's YOUR choice, NOT cancer's. Sending much love and lots of prayers. You are the same age as my daughter who was born just five months before my son died which has always made me feel connected to you. It's an important reminder of just how precious Life is. xxx

There is nothing stopping you from having an all-out Christmas with all of the trimmings before you go in for your surgery. Pick a date and talk to the family. I'm sure everyone would much prefer an early Christmas with you there than a regular one with you in the hospital or recovering from surgery. You can do this!

If I could give you advice Tiffany, it would be to not block anything out. Embrace the pain and the fear and sit in it. It’s the first step to processing the information and gaining perspective and clarity. Experience it no matter how hard. You feel these ways for a reason so don’t deny yourself of these feelings that are natural and absolutely necessary for the process ❤️
