A stroke can affect your ability to control your mood and emotions. This is called emotionalism, sometimes known as ‘emotional lability’. It can mean that your mood changes very quickly and you are more emotional than you used to be.

Never cried before I had a cerebular stroke, I lost my job, initial independence, crying was something that I could not control even when talking to people, watching sad stuff on TV also brought on tears, think I am starting to improve now and starting to accept where I am. Something you never think about being healthy and being able to what you do. Thankfully there are those who understand and try to help.

I'm going through that also, and it's uncontrollable as well. Sometimes I wonder why was my life spared, because I've lost so much control of my life. I'm almost completely dependent on others, and that bothers me. I hope you are getting better.

@@henryhawkins1194 hi Henry, until you actually experience the incident in your life, the soft reassuring words from people who mean well but do not have the same emotional/physical problems (and I hope they never will), then I see others in what seems to me worse situations and still managing to live a life that is different in most aspects from what was the original, it is change from the normal you could say we adapt to what we have and hopefully in our heads it should get better and easy to accept, people around us don't really care as long as it doesn't affect them and their lifestyles. Stay strong Henry it takes time to grieve our losses of what we had when everything was going ok.
