This tutorial on the crust is the best!!! I really fell for Empanadas at a sea food restaurant in Puebla, MX the crust was so flakey and the fish was probably like escabeche fish so went in raw but came out flakey and cooked YUMMY!! anyways Now that I know how to make the crust I will try different fillings! Gracias!!!

Those empanadas look professionally made. Just beautiful and shiny. I learned to not roll the edges too thick as they didn’t get done when I pulled from oven. I won’t make that mistake again.
I made empanadas yesterday, your pie dough recipe is the best I have ever made. I had an empanada slip off of the spatula and end explosion of flaky pastry bits went everywhere 😅

Ok,but you forgot the garlic or garlic powder, cheese, onions (green or yellow) and I like a little tomatoes added to the cooking of ground beef.. You can also skip the meat, making spinach n cheese empanadas, or tiny shrimp +frozen peppers with onions..cook that 1st add shrimp last.. You can fill with anything you have, chix( cooked n shredded) pork (cooked and shredded) just cheese( use a few diff combined) and I prefer using a fry pan..not too much oil..my airfryer is new but I will try it in there next.
@@Viewsontheroad just to let you know. I made a batch of meat empanadas today using you recipe . I also made a quiche like spring form size pie filled with spinach and different cheese . The dough is the best I ever had . And it’s so easy to work with . I made it a day ahead and left it in the fridge. But it rolled out beautifully. So I will try the deep fry version next .. thank you so very much 🙏❤️
