Emperor: Battle for Dune is a Dune video game, released by Westwood Studios on June 12, 2001. It is based in Frank Herbert's science fiction Dune universe. It is the third real-time strategy game set in the Dune universe, following its predecessors, Dune II and Dune 2000. While Dune II was a totally distinct story to that of Dune, and Dune 2000 was a remake of Dune II, Emperor is a direct sequel to the previous games. In particular, it is a sequel to Dune 2000, carrying on from where it left off, with several of the characters and actors returning. Like Dune 2000 and many of the other Westwood games that came before it, Emperor features cut scenes filmed with live actors.

This is such an underrated RTS game. I love the imagery to it and the variety of units. For it's time it is pretty unique and awesome. The three sides are really distinct in how you play them and are not necessarily weak. Especially when you can choose a secondary force. I love the secondary force concept too.

Absolutely loved this game and dune 2000. After playing dune 2000 when it first came out I was hooked on dune! Sadly few people knew or cared about dune. Glad things are changing now! Finally people are waking up to the glory of dune!

coolest part of this game was the fact that you couldn't build on the sand. the "no man's land" where only troops could go and not buildings was amazing haha

I've never played this game, but saw the trailer for it. As soon as the first cutscene played, I was like "That's the same actor that play Premier Romanov!"
