@@mariusloesch820 - What? 30K Mortarion looks awful. Magnus and Fulgrim also look awful because they're part of a diorama of which both look awkward on their own. The recent sculpts from FW are the best ones. FW have massive consistency issues when it comes to their designs.
They HAVE to bring back Doomrider for Emperor's Children. A sonic dreadnought would be cool too. Outside of that, maybe the Palatine Blades are an alternative to Chosen. Some form of possessed or roided-up astartes, and maybe even a unit of Fabius Bile's 'New Men'/Terata in place of cultists.
@@KhorgosKhul Counterpoint: Death Guard have a pretty fleshed out lineup. The WE codex was a disappointment that I hope they correct with the second wave. Thousand Sons I think just suffer from a pretty restrictive theme. They're either sorcerers or mindless husks in the lore. GW need to find a way to diversify them in a way you'd expect from Tzeentch.
I can't wait for EC refresh. It's a Chaos Legion that just like Death Guard will allow the developers of the models a massive amount of freedom in going wild with it. I want an Eidolon, a new Lucius, plastic Noise Marines,... that are jacked up to 11 in the crazy scale.
It will be interesting to see which direction they'll go with the daemon aspects of things like Slaanesh cultists/possessed etc. Do they hark back to the old days or do they follow similar style as the new Underworlds warband? some of the Slaanesh AoS thats fairly new is rather nice (if rather fiddly to assemble!).
Hopefully they'll also do plastic pheonixan terminators as well, theyve got so much potential, itd be a shame if they go the same way as the red butchers

@@ivanharlokin that is actually not why Fulgrim gets so mad in that dialogue. Delafour is attacking the idea of perfection as a goal. He is saying that imperfection is true beauty. This reflects on Fulgrim who always had deep rooted insecurities that made him strive to become as great as he is. Accepting the obvious truth that is presented to him that Delafours artwork is better because of it's imperfections would mean that he would have to accept his own worst fear. That he was great in spite of his own imperfection not because he was perfect. This his already unstable mind refuses and instead kills Delafour.
I'd love to see a proper Tactical squad for Emperor's children. See for me The noise marines have always felt like a proper Elite slot unit, the other monogod units felt like troop choices
I really hope we got an update pack for EC. Noise marines may be there most iconic troops but not every EC marine is a noise marine. I hope we see some fancy warriors with bolter, power swords and whipes

I think its because he is now the only 1 of the 4 god affiliated ones to not have gotten anything new. I mean I'd like to see a new model for him and units for the EC too but part of me just feels its ubfair

@@I_am-lost. They might still get them, they will get something else with their codex, even if it is just one model. Red Butcher terminators would be an auto sell, especially if they had some of the aesthetic of the year 2 WH+ mini.
They've done such an amazing job with Slaanesh in AoS I'm sure 40k's entry will be amazing too. The idea that FW and GW are trying to out do each other sounds fun and a great thing for consumers. I assume the reason for the bike delay is to bring back.... Doom Rider. (huffs cope-ium)
Some of the new Slaanesh AoS stuff is amazing. The Daemonettes are overdue an update mind, so I wonder if they'll redo those (maybe in style of the new Underworlds Warband?) instead of giving EC new cultist or possessed models.

@@gstellar96 Remember that Skaven are part of the chaos pantheon as well in AoS and they've had some new models in Underworlds recently too. I am think Skaven are a good bet if theres a new edition of AoS next year to be one half of it. As for Daemons, yes, it is time they got some updates beyond the big ones (which are great for the most part). They've been doing the AoS chaos mortals quite a bit in recent years, and some of the Slaanesh models are lovely (i've not looked closely at the other gods). If they borrowed some of the AoS daughters of Khaine snake for Slaanesh possessed in a new EC kit I'd not be opposed to it.
I am unsure on doomrider, they might feel it is too close to other characters and instead create a new character (they've not done many on bikes for a while mind). Interesting to see the direction they take with the whole EC range, if Val's point about autumn 2024 is correct it will only be half the releases anyway, with the rest probably following in the next edition (like they've done with WE).
Well tie me up and call me Valrak! The Fulgrim Daemon model is one of the best I have seen. Although I don't play EC, I would definitely pick it up to paint and display. It's going to be hard for GW to top that one.
They will get token updates probably. The 4 god legions and the black legion will get the attention, much like the loyal chapters pretty much get nothing beyond the two angels, wolves,grey knights and templars and ultramarines. Maybe eventually they will change that, with more upgrade sprues.
Fulgrim has been shown on two different covers and one really old picture. On the cover for "Slaves to Darkness", he looks like the current FW model. On "Death and Defiance", he looks closer to the old image which I don't know the origins for! Maybe he will look closer to that in the 40k.
I definitely said EC would be released in 10th back when we got confirmation that WE was coming in 9th. It's the trend. 7th released Magnus and TS. 8th released Mortarion and DG. 9th released Angron and WE. By process of elimination and basic deductive reasoning based on proven pattern, 10th will release Fulgrim and EC. Noise Marines are def getting a full squad kit. I want the Silver Knight of Slaanesh the most. Personally I like the idea that he's a fallen Grey Knight because it shows how he could go so deep into the palace of pleasure but also shows how powerful Slaanesh is because no matter how indomitable you believe yourself, against the god of temptations in person you're done. Other stuff would be doomrider. Man is just funny. A noise dread/helbrute. And then some kind of melee unit.
Next year is what I thought but it was still crushing to see him for 30k first. I was jumping up and down and wooping... and then the final slide of him being in 30k hit. Was like being hit with a bag of bricks lol. Waited so long for EC... I have an entire mono-Slaanesh Daemons army ready to fight by their side.
When Emperor's Children gets their update, they had better bring back Doom Rider. I may serve the Imperial wth Gaunt's Ghosts but the thought of a Daemon Prince of Slaanesh on a bike is just too much to not ignore. He was a memorable icon in the 3rd Edition Chaos Codex!
@@bionicgeekgrrl Very valid point. I forgot that Doomrider was loosely inspired by a particular character from another franchise with similar physical characteristics and mode of transport.
I love the model released for 30k. My big concern has been that the 40k model would be like the more up to date art which imo looks funky. The 30k model blew me out of the water, dont change anything!
@@voltix54 ^ this. As long as it is a GW or FW model it is generally permitted as a proxy as long as it is about similar size/shape and no 'modelling for advantage' etc could be said of it. Though the GW one is likely to be cheaper than the FW one, which given the size and complexity is likely to be in the £100-120 range.
I hope this is true. So hyped for emperor's children! Autumn 2024 would make sense imo, because CSM codex drop in spring next year and most likely the EC stuff will be missing there
Honestly, I'm surprised that they went with a resin Daemon Fulgrim. I would have thought that GW would have waited until the plastic release and had the plastic Daemon Primarchs pull double duty as 30k and 40k models.
I'm a chaos fan you know, I've got a New world eaters army still needs some painting! I've got a CSM army, I'd love to add the other three to my collection with EC, TS and DG

IF!!! I had to design a 40k Fulgrim model, I'd still keep the body and weapons, the only changes I'd do would be the pose; Fulgrim would probably be trying to lure a victim (or more likely) killing a victim with slaaneshi powers as he's in ecstasy of the suffering. He'd probably still have that pretty face, but he'd have snake fangs and tongue in a wicked smile like other daemons of slaanesh. I do like the scale of the wings they gave him in the HH model, but it would be interesting if they did the old Emperor's Children icon for Fulgrim's wings; feathers, claws, and some daemon shenanigans going on with it like faces of multiple races (eldar, tau, human, even ork).

Thousand Sons were released in 7th edition Death Guard released during 8th edition World Eaters released during 9th edition. It would be stranger if Emperor's Children _didn't_ release this edition.
I wonder if they will release miniatures of the members of the Cohors Nasicae, that and some of the henchmen of Fabius Bile. They would also have the opportunity to release a model of Buthcher-Bird, Bile's sentient gunship.
@@bionicgeekgrrl He has been part of the Emperor's Children section in the Chaos Space Marine Codex in the past, so I expect him to be there. There is simply not enough material to grant him a separate Codex. Maybe if they introduce stuff like Miriael Sabathiel and some additional stuff it would.
@@ash_durant6071 He might well just remain in the Codex: Chaos Space Marines rather than go into the Emperor's Children one. In the lore he is very much doing his own thing rather than part of the warband, which is rather fractured at best anyway. We'll see when they release the new CSM codex, if EC and Bile are not in it and get WD Index rules like with WE last year.
something to remember, this is just a tease, it could actually be only one side of the doubled kit. there might just be a torso and arm swap for the 40k version they are holding back on until the EC reveal. it would make sense to have a dual purpose kit like the keeper of secrets or a lot of AOS heroes and it could be long time before he actually drops for 30k which could give them more time to roll out the prep work for the EC and the 40k version
I think 40k fulgrim is going to be bigger and have more of a demon face. Maybe he will have a crazy over the top base to weave in and out of. Be good to see what forge world does with mortarion and the other demon primarchs.
If its coming in 10th we should know for certain early next year with the CSM codex... if emperors children are coming soon they'll be notably missing in that codex, like with how the reveal of the world eaters happened
I hope we also get to see a Lucius in 30K soon - he is an important character in the novels and, as with Fulgrim, I could see some nice competition. I also always thought that something like Slaanesh-Berserkers would work out quite well - mad Swordfighter, pumped up Palantine Blades. insanely fast, many attacked, etc.
Range refresh is not really accurate for Emperor's Children since they don't really have much of a range to begin with. I believe their newest model is the updated Fabius Bile. The only other model would be the noise marine which is more of hobby collector model than a build an army with these. For army building for EC, GW only has a couple upgrade frames in resin I think. The last model for EC would be Lucius which is no longer on the GW webstore and is an antique model at this point. If EC are coming as their own separate faction army to 40k, GW is probably going release them like the World Eaters with a big reveal of Daemon Primarch Fulgrim. The rest will be Fabius with his current model, a much needed updated Lucius, and a proper squad of new noise marines. The rest of the range will be all brand new EC models to round out the newish faction.
Valrak - given the apparent separation of HH and 40K versions of daemon primarchs in resin and plastic respectively, could we be looking at separate Forgeworld versions of HH daemon Magnus, Mortarion and Angron down the line?
I Think we can be fairly confident that Fulgrim will be the next Primarch to enter 40k and complete the chaos faction quad gods. Probably in a year or so, I reckon we'll see the teasers released at the next warhammer convention in May imo. But of course that means its 4 v 2 chaos and Imperial primarchs. So the next model for 40k after fulgrim will almost certainly be Imperial. My bet is Leman Russ.
I'm imagining simple Legionaries with horrible Mutations and Faces like the WE Beserkers. As Elites, they can get their Phoenix Guard and their Palatine Blades. Heavy Support would be Noise Marines. Characters can be Lucius, and some non generic Captain Type Character, then, Eidolon and Fulgrim. I think there is surely enough they can do with EC.
Maybe they bring back the Predator with Blastmaster version, Chaos doesnt have their own legion version of the Predator atm. And the Blaster Hellbrute.
They should have Rylan come back as a Daemon Engine of the emperor as the sorta rival model release sorta like The Lion and Angron assuming they allowed demon Fulgrim in 40K
I mean, on one hand, I'm super looking forward to the EC model refresh, but on the other hand, I've got like, waaay too much stuff to paint already. xD

Eidolon does live however he’s not the current leader. Emperors Children as a whole only answer to Fulgrim as they are largely fractured still, nobody has pulled a Kharn and tried to unify the hosts to my knowledge. I imagine like the deathguard you’ll still be able to take chaos lords in emperors children. I don’t know how much Eidolon adds when compared to Lucius the champion of slaanesh. Alternatively the first captain Julius Kaesoron may still live and would make a perfect choice as a Leader for Noise Marines. Letting you field your own Katophoni, just like the one he led on Istvan V. It would be a nice way to redefine the faction from how it plays now. Here is your primarch, here is your noise marines, here is your lead singer. I’d also love a land raider performer 😂 to go with the noisemarines. Or at least a tank like the predator or vidicator but with sonic weapons. Special vehicles are definitely under used in the current godswarn CSM factions. Only death guard has anything cool besides disks.
Well remember that when the Primarchs were first transformed they didn't fully look like they did now. As they progressed through time they've changed more and more to the Daemonic Primarchs we know now. Plus they called the 30k model Fulgrim Transfigured not Daemonic Fulgrim.
When the lion was show I said to my freinds I bet fullgrim was next to come back since it would complete the 4 chaos gods and we could get new noise marines models and such but I also hope in right that vulkans the next loyal primarch to come back and help craft new weapons to battle the forces of chaos also cus I love salmanders
With GW's lead time, if EC's are done, then they've been getting worked on for at least the last 3 years. Which means they're getting released in 10th. It'd be hilarious, if he looked exactly like the OLD Epic version same sculpt same detailing, just larger..

Fulgrim's return needs to have him kill a major Imperium character. I bet the Palatine Blade will return but be kind of like Mutilators. Just hope their return isn't overshadowed by another thing going on.
EC fans gonna love having their codex for a month before 11th edition drops like us WE fans did.... Also I cant be the only one sick of seeing loyalist model preview and releases....
I really hope when Emperor's Children get a range refresh they don't lose a ton of their regular chaos units like world eaters did. Iconic units like vindicators, raptors or legionnaires should be playable in world eaters and emperor's children.
They could've teased a 40k version of fulgrim in the HH Fulgrim post hinting at the future reveal along with the Emperor's Children as a standalone faction (Maybe we'll know once 10th edition Chaos Marines codex comes out). Once Fulgrim is announced, who'll be the next loyalist primarch to appear to even the odds at 3 loyalist Primarchs to 4 Traitor Primarchs?

slightly off topic, but when The Emperor's Children come out, that will complete the four Gods, and there Demon Primarchs, this makes me wonder if we'll Get Logar, Pertarabo or both when the Standard Chaos Codex comes out?
The Forgeworld Eidolon model has been unavailable for like 2 weeks. Is that something to be concerned about? Is there a new model for him coming soon that would make restocking the 30k current version obsolete?
i think 40k fulgrim is goning to be a more depraved looking version whereas the 30k model is fulgrim just after falling so he still had a sliver of his old self in him
