Low police activity means you can have high ambiance/production rackets, so bribing them and having a high police rating is good. They also let you buy from their shop. It might also be worth it to let BOI agents to raid your racket instead of "getting rid" of them, because of the high penalty on police rating when you "get rid" of an agent. Install a mob lawyer improvement to the precinct next time to lower police activity. I noticed that a high police activity lowers the customer population in the precinct, even if the customer population is high. Now instead of "getting rid" of police to gain traits or weapon proficiency, with the new update, you can leave a few derelict buildings in a precinct, make the cops turn a blind eye if you want, and just raid the buildings in a cycle without having to worry about other bosses stealing those buildings. Wait until you can affords top-tier gangsters to assign as underboss/advisor. The underboss lowers gangster wages with leadership, which lets you hire more high-tier gangsters. I have no idea how racket synergy works, but I read that it helps.
The loanshark large building is making me 10k and it is not maxed out yet. Also melee con artist with pickpocket is solid, it is random but can get more loot and money.
@@gregtuff4020 So pick pocket pairs with all melee attacks. It will trigger on both of the tier 3 powers. Double tap is a little stronger for straight damage but counts as a pistol kill for exp. Sucker punch is better overall imo. Also my picks for con artist are Estsuko Nakano and Cristiano but he is one of the best gangsters in the game anyways. If you have a trench knife and heavy armor to put on them that pairs the best until you can get top tier items.
What's your take on the high tier gangsters? During the whiskey rush you could afford to hire them. With the updated system I think that the opportunity cost is way too high. I could get 5 gangsters that perform well for that much.
It's a tough one, personally out of the top tier gangsters I'd only pay for 2 lmao and neither is a fixer. But your right, in most cases, 2 guns are better then one
One thing I did in the beginning was to buy a casino in the early game and the money flow absolutely suffered but subsequent playthrough I held off until I had gotten my 2nd precinct and it helps
Eh...don't waste your time with crates. Lately the game is now encouraging raiding rackets cause you can get high rarity loot and plenty of cash early in the game. No I'm serious I found some blue and purple gear when I was taking over a thug precinct and it was madness...
Just started my first game as Frankie Donovan. Christ, his special just seems straight up busted. Just took my first enemy Depot and he basically cleaned the house with just his stick.
Now with the protection money I have found that at times that option is greyed out. I had no issue early game but I wonder if I made them bad or some odd power balance.
Man, this update messed up my latest run. So many of my businesses were seperated from a safehouse after getting the neighborhoods divided. I went from a few K in money to zero by the end of an ingame month trying to tie the loop together. It was a shame but that lets me relearn and try a new game
I've started playing again with the new update. I've upgraded the quality of booze for my safe house and brewery to whisky, but those places aren't producing anything. I've got a big brewery that I'm levelling up, and it's the only brewery that's producing booze. I don't know what's going on.
@@TheCriticallyClueless I'll start a new game today. Maybe it's a bug. I remember before the update I could change the alcohol production for each brewery and the quality of alcohol production depended on the area.
@@TheCriticallyClueless I've started a new game and I have the same problem. This time, it says whisky 25/-25/0. I think the type of alcohol produced depends on the neighbourhood or the time. I don't know. I don't understand it.
this is a crappy game imho, its not xcom, theres no level up system, so basically ur the same from the beginning to end game with a few amount of skills, and the fights are cheap, massive waves of reinforcements in a small room that can come behind u and attack u b4 u can react. Its a good game idea with lots of potential but its sloppy as it is right now and the experience you will get out of this game is based on luck looting.
Based on luck looting? no, you can buy/trade to newer weapons about the reinforcements, plan your attack more wisely and take out the minor businesses before going into their safehouse. It's not xcom because it isn't trying to be xcom
