I love how James Nesbitt doesn't even try to do it. He just points at Aidan and smiles. There is definitely some sort of story behind that. Then at the end, Aidan looks so proud of himself.

Ok, so: - Aiden is the fastest - Ian is the slowest - Richard is polite, he said Thorin at the very end - Martin likes to swear - and they mostly remember the most famous brothers at he end o.O Ian said KiF with a gesture of a hand like "ofc them, because everyone is talking all about them only"

Notice they all list the dwarves by family/relation? It's easiest to do it that way since the ones that are related have similar sounding names, i.e. Gloin, Oin, Kili, Fili etc. (although, Thorin should be grouped with Kili and Fili on account of him being their uncle). That's how I do it too :P

The trick I use is just quoting the first trailer when Gandalf is introducing them: Fili, Kili, Oin, Gloin, Dwalin, Balin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombor, Dori, Nori, Ori, and the leader of our company, Thorin Oakenshield!

I use the order they appeared in the book, 'cause I read it at seven and it stuck in my mind. Dwalin, Balin, Fili, Kili, Dori, Nori, Ori, Oin, Gloin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Thorin.

Only reason one remembers the names so "easily" is because half of them rhymes with each other... Ori, Nori, Dori. Kili, Fili. Oin, Gloin. Balin, Dwalin.

Well, she doesn't appear in the book "The Hobbit", of appearances in the Appendixes I don't know as I haven't read them yet. But her name is Dís :) and she is relevant to the story in terms of being the link between Thorin and the brothers ;) If you read the books prepare for some differences though! :)
