What makes Garten's nerf so troubling is the fact that they can just do it on the drop of a dime, like who's next how can we lv up a character knowing at any moment they can change completely. Not to mention Juggernauts like Nautica, whos super can power a 3rd world country are allowed to roam untouched.
100% this! Nerfs should only ever be reserved for situations where the game as a whole is negatively affected by a hero. None of these heroes are having that kind of impact on the game so even though I have Nautica and a Nerf to her would sting I would support it if done for the right reasons. This though I cannot get behind. Thanks for ur comments they're spot on ;?)
@@McNaultyYT i kept saying one thing and i got a lot of heat for it. Nerfing isnt fundamentally bad. The problem with nerfing is that they used it commercially. They nerfed heroes to change the meta and push other new heroes... they didnt nerf heroes to correct imbalance in the game. But even this devious nerfing was better than their new approach. Their current approach is to change the meta by releasing strong heroes without nerfing the old. But to do so, the new heroes have to be way waaay stronger to prompt a need in the collective mind.. If before (when they also made use of nerfing) they were releasing heroes with like 5% increase in power, now its like a runaway train. This not-nerfing trend is the reason why we now have heroes like Nautica in the game.... Imagine what hero will come to replace Nautica. Imagine how powerful it will have to be to make Nautica so irrelevant that people will have to take her out of defense. Not nerfing is just like a cold war escalation. Also, dont be fooled, this trend where the only direction is UP, is currently indirectly nerfing all heroes at the same time. When Nautica appeared, they basically nerfed everyone's collection of heroes at once. Its nerfing by devaluating.
They need to take a hit where they'll feel it, stop spending. They release heroes as bait for your money, and F you over and "balance" the heroes. What needs to be done is spread awareness of the in game support feature that allows you to block ALL purchases. This way you can't fold in your decision not to spend and start spending a week or two in
Great video as always mate. You're quite right in this being an awful update. It does however help my squad out having Pophit, Costume Alasie and I just gave Verus tonics this morning as I like the passive and extra stats. However everything else is a mess, If I had Garten I'd be furious. I've faced him often and he's annoyingly difficult to deal with but in no way was this nerf needed. And as usual not enough buffs to older heroes and I still cannot understand why they don't address the costume bonuses for Atlantis. They are so weak compared to the other bonuses.
What's great about not paying a dime on the game is that when they nerf anything, it doesn't matter because not only do you not have it, you've never even heard of it. Wtf is a garten? 😂
Yo McNaulty my friend. I am currently thinking Caelen is an amazing Damage Booster but only by himself and paired with Vanya because if he is paired with Shimmerscale the Bleed Damage wakes up the enemies(as I was told). But when you pair him with a Target and Nearby/All enemies/Multi-Attack HIGH Damage Dealer Hero/s. With that 70% Damage Increase on the Current Damage (Hint Hint my Miss Ethel - 1518 Attack / 1285 Defense / 2479 Health) from wake up from sleep. Its lights out!
Nautica seems super nerfed by the owls passive. He’s a meta tank right now but even with 3 and 4 star owls placed on the wing, you can turn him into just a healer.
It's definitely gonna shake some tailfeathers at the top, but I think Nautica will still be solid we will have to test it a bit and see thankfully I have Nautica so ill be able to test. Cheers 🍻 4 the comments 👍 👏 👌
It's great that they are increasing the costume bonus. Want felt disrespectful is that it only applies to the 5*s, while the 4*s have a smaller costume bonus in each season. And the Atlantis costume bonus has all been forgotten. 1% on 4*s increase is a spit in the face as we have to summon for them 😂
To me and most of my alliance, the game is now officially beyond saving. I took a team of 1lb 5* heroes was down to an enemy 2lb madhammer with a legendary troop and he did 1500 damage to 2 of my heroes, which was enough to kill them both, then her minion started doing 600 DAMAGE PER TURN to my heroes. In a matter of 6 turns all of my guys were dead. One hero took out my entire team all by herself. The same thing happened with the owl Verus. Took in a full team of 1lb 5*s and one of Verus' specials killed my entire team. The damage and the bleed damage did a total of roughly 2000 damage to every single one of my heroes, killing them all. No buffs or teammates were needed. The game is beyond broken and I'm done with it. It used to be fun. Now it's just not worth the frustration... It's sad really. I'd been playing for 6 years too...
SOOOOOOOO.....Here we are with some more Krampus nerfs. Some popular, non-meta relevant hereos getting the shaft and bamboozlment all around. The Owls didn't need the buffs but I'll take it, since I just pulled Mariol last tower but they did the newest gargoyles wrong. But at least they did it before the release of the newest gargoyles later this week. My boy Atwood still staying strong and some needed, even if not enough, buffs for older hereos. If we are talking about over powerment, let's look no further than those Toon hereos with their passive "I can't be effected by any ailment!"...seriously...I had a toon in League war block ailments TWELVE times in a row before I killed her with direct damage. Definitely looking forward to the master emblems video because some of those talents look really good and I'm seriously considering using them on Ludwig but maybe not lol. Great video mate and if my mother played the game, I would share with her. Until such time I tell my alliance to come check them out.
I was actually really happy with the change to softskin until i found out it only lasts for 1 hit. 90% damage reduction 4 times could've been crazy good. Sadly only 1 hit means you have to time the use perfectly for it to be effective
Yep I think the devs were counting on people thinking this way a single turn of it and removing Gartens altogether is weak 🙄 😒 like u said timing has to be perfect and even then it's nowhere near as good as boosted heal counter attack!
I am not happy with this update ! It's been hell, MY Garten sucks I have lost so many matches ... so they massively nurfed him ? After all it took to get him to LB2 😠 😡 😤
Sorry m8 I know it sucks! Had it myself with Xnolphod and Miriam & Midnight and I was hoping we had seen the last of these unnecessary Nerfs. Not even a sniff of a aether reset token either 😕 if I was you I would message support and ask for one... we know they can do it. 🤔 If u do please let us know what their response is?...
Good morning, what I think is that instead of balancing and silly things like that, they should increase the percentage of getting a good card. I think a 1% chance of playing a 5-star good is ridiculous.
How to get the whales keep their wallet open? Make them continue summoning and not to sit on their current roster? Roll out new OP hero and nerf the meta.
Complete waste in upgrading Garten going to be requesting a refund as Zynga are absolute professional at ruining the game. He was a legendary hero in celebrating the anniversary of the game and then they do this to Graten.
hideous update, there is nothing good here in the grand scheme of things. - Softskin? freaking OP. Not only that you cannot deal dmg, but you also cannot stick any effect like mana block. This breaks wars like rush. Stone skin is OP as it is in rush, and the only way to work around it was to block the mana and hit with tiles until the skin goes away. You cannot do that to softskin bc u cannot block mana, and in rush, throwing tiles would only result in the hero shooting again. - Garten? welcomed nerf... He still does too much compared to other average mana healers. He, and a lot of other heroes should be nerfed and i dont get people's lack of objectivity on this matter.. You cannot say Garten is weak in the same video where you see Clarissa and Yang Mai whom are supposedly also 5* heroes. - Insanity changes? Dont really know, way too complicated mechanic anyways. Most likely they work best in defense... and most likely are OP since top defenses had them on. - Owls? Yes, buff them some more, not like they werent Op anyway, (*sarcastic noises*) - Toon Gormek? irrelevant. They could make him do nothing for all i care. All toons need a damn nerf to that toon passive and their stats... considering the 25 talent grid and 5* troops. - Suzana would've been welcomed only if they made it to all allies. - Alessie buff should've been 400% to 3 instead of 466% + minor. - the rest of hotm buffs are laughable ... just slightly marginal things. terrible balance update... play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
