Thanks for connecting MIKEDG1234! Good luck with the rush tournament. If you have Treevil on hand, I'd recommend him at tank with yellow flanks. You can see this colour combo work in my first video about the year-long study. Even if the obvious tank colour should be green/blue/red due to the element they removed, it has worked for me and many others. Cheers!

Awesome stuff John! You've got the best foundation in there already with two MNs on the wings and I'm glad the 4 healer works out for you. I don't have any observations of 2x MN + 2 more healers. It is always nice to hear from others of what is working for them. I'm curious what war score your alliance is rocking right now. We've had a few people try Treevil with much less success than you report so far.

ok, I dug through the data and here are numbers for different variations in Rush wars of Wing-Tank, 2 healer formations (number of occurrences in brackets - note the small sample size for two of the categories which should be considered unreliable at this time). 2 healers W-T, where none are revivers (21): 35.1% 2 healers W-T, where only the wing is a reviver (43): 44.7% 2 healers W-T, where only the tank is a reviver (2): 48.6% 2 healers W-T, where both are revivers (2): 38.1% So by this data, you can conclude that for 2 healers W-T in rush wars, it is better to have a reviver on the wing than no revivers. Even not knowing the numbers, i recomended my ally member to do it, she's not a top notch player (yet), not many powerfull heroes, but that was the best that i recomemded to her, based in the clip numbers. In this weekend allies war, in 8 ataks, she only die 3 times. If may math is correct was 62,5%. Let's see how it works in the mid week war. She was with Rigard as tank and Anton as wing.

When version 2 of my study wraps up, you could very well be right about either of these two. Both of these heroes had limited appearances in version 1 due to their release date in relation to my first year study but I think most would agree they are extremely popular now. I wouldn't bet against your guess for version 2 but I also think we might see a certain Gargoyle make it's way into this list when it wraps up. In time, I'll reveal the updated stats.

Thanks for the olive branch MJ Cook! Perhaps one day, but for now I owe it to my fantastic team to stick around (plus, my ironman streak is at 1469 days). However, I am thinking of doing some live streams though where people could connect with me and shoot the breeze about the game or ask me war defense questions if they have any (or even debate something I've said). Anyways, you have a keen eye for who is coming down the pipe as leaders for tank, I suspect my videos are pretty much only good for confirming what you know, but then again, that's useful too. I do D.M.. Do you mean with regards to certain formations I listed or just in general? I will be doing each hero individually as soon as I finish Undead Horde and Arrow Barrage. Will be coming soon!

DM, I will still put out individual hero stats, but since you asked, I've split the best healer formation into two; one group with Alfrike as a tank, and one without. 2 reviving healers on the wings with Alfrike as Tank (20): 55.2% 2 reviving healers on the wings without Alfrike as Tank (9): 41.7%

Hi Selene, and thanks for the question. I have not seen Gramps in the 250-700 alliance rank range. Some have argued that he's great in the forums, but i find this doubtful at the level you are at. The thing with Gramps is that even when limit Broken, he is easily killed being a 3*. Other "OP" 3 stars also do poorly when 5*s are present. I'll give you an example that a lot of people might disagree with but I've got numbers to back it up. Treevil in rush wars. Trevil's special is way superior than everyone else's out there for amount of ailment, strength of the ailments, and duration. We did some testing, because teams with him as a tank were doing extremely well. It turns out, the only teams that did well with him, were the ones that had Mother North or Alberich on wing. Teams without a reviver did very poorly (low 20% survivability rate compared to 60%+ when MN or Alby present). Teams with those revivers did equally well with different tanks. Now, this example shows, that treevil needs other heroes to make effective use of him (her?). As stated, Treevil has one of the best specials in the game, but is a 3* so he will die quickly (hence, why teams do better with revivers). Back to Gramps. Gramps will die quickly too, and only has a 33% to revive, and no heals for the rest of the allies. Small amount of mana regen is also something he does, but is it enough to make him viable? I personally don't think so. I tried using Anton, the 4* reviver in wars to see if he was a good option for those who didn't have a 5*. I ended up with lackluster results overall despite Anton having one of the better revive rates in the game (however, it only comes on charge 2, so that could be an issue. I say, try Gramps out. I'm a big fan of not relying on my gut or opinions of others and like to see hard numbers to help make decisions. Give gramps a try, and monitor the performance of your team with and without him. Over time, you'll see a trend emerge and be better suited to make an informed decision about him. And please, if you do this, let me know how he works out would you?! Cheers, and all the best!

@@ssnakepitgaming Thanks for your extensive reply! What you say makes a lot of sense. If I try him out, I'll surely let you know. I try to keep my experimenting to raids and tournaments so as not to cause too much troubles for my alliance, lol (there are only 10 of us doing wars). I put him in the rush tournament as a little test, but so far it seems to be one of those "defense is almost never attacked" ones. Getting good data is hard with the relatively few attacks each war! That's why I find your data so interesting. Cheers.
