So what do I do if I found out that my boss mislabeled me or whatever as an independent contractor when I've been led to believe that I'm an employee.

File an SS-8 Form on the IRS website .... im a superintendent for 7 years for 7 buildings in Manhattan and they paid me with 1099 when it was a 24/7 job ..

I got fucked. I probably could have done more to fight it but I'm a poor country bumpkin. I had to pay 3yrs worth of taxes with the insane late fees.

@@nblackhartIm sorry to hear that have been listening to lots of videos and it seems that IRS leans to the side of calling someone an employee rather than IC Did you not pursue the employer for the offense? I know that is the hard part is why I'm asking

I have contract signed by my self and the staff manager with emails back and fourth also emails where I keep emailing a few people that I had talked to before I did not receive any response.
