1 they do just know what you need to buy and for what purpose. Legit Masterlock's best secured core is in a plastic housing. This is how bad lock companies get away with their bs. Yes they can make locks that can actually resist destructive attacks but most of them cannot even resist against a simple bypass or low skill attacks like Raking, Zipping, comb picking or even just putting a shim into the lock to access the catch inside the lock.
One would hope anyone intelligent or skilled enough to perform this task would realize they can make better money with less risk simply getting a legit job.
This unlocked a memory for me. Once upon a time I was a manager at a big box store. Someone brought in a cheap case with a dial lock. They lost the combo and brought it in, because, for some reason, they thought we could do something? So I fuck with it. I can't remember if I put tension in the opening slide or not but I noticed when turning the dial, certain numbers would have more side-to-side wiggle or play. Ya, I got that shit open. Felt like a boss the whole day
@@myname3330 yes, exactly my point locks keep honest people honest and also keeps idiots away but if you see a criminal thats the least bit competent that would be the end of most locks.
@@myname3330 honesty isn’t a binary. you can be different levels of dishonest: from always trying to return things that you find dropped on the ground, to ceasing the opportunity if you find something unlocked, to professional thieves who go around with angle grinders to saw through locks most dishonest people aren’t on the “professional thief” extreme but are some level of thieves of opportunity
@@myname3330Even “honest” people sometimes have fleeting thoughts of “what if?” It’s rather similar to “The Call of the Void;” you’re not suicidal, but if you’re looking down … you think about it for a moment or two.
not really, most are just gonna go stright for the angle grinder. he just proved that "even if that door is still locked after a theft doesn't mean a thief couldn't have opened it non destructively"
i remember cracking the code on a combination lock when i was like 11 with no experience by simply pulling on it and turning the wheels listening for clicking sounds, took around 15 minutes for a literal child
Why?! Whoever invented the perfect loop deserves a massive punch in the face. I hate being tricked into watching a video twice. If the content was worth watching I'd watch it again of my own accord.
I love how just a few days ago I was thinking about these locks and wondering if they would be better than the key locks and i found this video while scrolling 😂
Here’s what I love about what you’re doing. Ultimately you’re going to force these companies to make better freaking locks I like that and you are putting a cap on the delusions of people who think their things are safe I like that I am worried, however that by me liking your videos, some government official, who watches all the stuff is going to think that I’m trying to break into crap, which I’m not. I couldn’t care less about other people stuff I have enough stuff in my own I think like manufacturers should do a better job and you know why I think that? Because of you and that’s why I thank you my friend
I will be honest. I was one of those people that thought combination locks were better because I can't lose the key and there are no holes to pick. Until I forgot my combination and picked the lock myself after one youtube video.
they dont lock pick anything usily alot of saitions i seen is the bring boltcuers or angle grider but usily the fist chose since it more silent and kick or pry the door open somethimes smish glass to get in or let parter in
