EMU Proteus 1 1989 - All presets HQ audio no taking
Courtesy of the EMU as part of their Formula 4000 libraries (Protazoa) which were released alongside the ESI sampler range in the mid 90's
This is part one of the Protazoa library which covers all of the EMU modules as the proteus was the module that started it all. Prior to releasing the Proteus in 1989 EMU samplers were out of most people's price range until the Proteus came along allowing access to those iconic EMU libraries or around £800
At the time of release the Proteus was THE MODULE EVERYONE WANTED as the emphasis was on replicating real instruments . The piano does sound dated nowadays compared to new synths, however at the time is was unbelievable.
The Proteus library was put together as a general all rounder and was for use in rock and pop and the sounds echo this.
I have attempted to play every sound as much in context as I could, but I am generally just making it up.
