Glad you're enjoying the episodes! That crash landing really made me laugh. Unfortunately, I've only got a handful more shows still to upload, so unless anyone else comes forward with some tapes, they'll dry up in two or three weeks' time. :-( So spread the word and let's see if we can find some more!
That's nothing - there's one episode where one of them gets kidnapped, but before his heroic escape is shown, he's clearly on view in the Bargain Basement! Something tells me that continuity wasn't a priority. Or maybe the Pink Windmill really *was* magic. ;-) And you're right - as much as I love the Emu's Wide World format, nothing beats the energy of the live shows. Interacting with the audience added another dimension all together. I really hope more recordings of those turn up one day...
Thanks again i always look forward to my Saturday morning Emu's world time. This is definately a funny one i particulally liked the roof top song on this one and how it linked into the grotbags segment- and poor croc got walloped on the hovergrot for no reason lol totally unprovoked and typical she gets the emu then they beam her up love it i just knew they were going to get a walloping for that!
Been rewatching this particular series, and it seems like the bit of music played during the Emu's Diary portion of this episode could have been an unused/unapproved rendition of the intro theme used from this series onwards!
Those Pink Windmill kids are wearing their "Up the Ladder" costumes in the first Bargain Basement, then they're seen in the outfits worn in the "Turn Up the Music" routine from Episode 1 when back in the Basement, then back into the "Up the Ladder" gear when they go upstairs. That windmill is rife with magic forces, I tell ya. Speaking of "upstairs", does anyone miss the audience presence in those scenes? It's not the same seeing Grotbags arrive without getting booed and responding back to it.
Ha! I'm more alarmed at how many contestants who went on the show simply didn't know how to even _throw_ a frisbee. That's supposed to be the easy bit!
I know what you mean - the first few minutes of the show are almost unbelieveable, knowing now how things were to turn out. Still, for a real tear-jerker, try this one: /dsWmWbYUbxs?t=39m18s
