Emu's World S3E3 (1983) - FULL EPISODE

Rod decides to try to give Emu a bath, while Grotbags realises she's in trouble with her union when she gets a visit from the Magnificent Fred. How will she try to redeem herself?
The Pink Windmill Kids chime in with renditions of Heart (from the musical Damn Yankees) and Discovery (originally by the New Mickey Mouse Club). I previously labelled this as the second episode in the series, but new evidence (i.e. another tape with all episodes recorded one after the other) suggests that this was actually broadcast third on Wednesday, 16th March, 1983.
(Please remember that this is an old VHS recording, so don't go expecting 1080p HD quality. I'm fairly certain that this video isn't commercially available, and I've uploaded it for its historic interest only. That said, if you are a copyright holder and object, please don't hesitate to contact me.)

Gotta admit, a lot of kids I remember used to hate their guts, especially the ones from the early series. They hated the Pink Windmill Kids' over saturated manners, the song-and-dance routines they'd randomly break into, and what came across as a bit of an unnervingly inhuman hivemind of perpetually cheery kids.

Love this kid programme as a child in the 80's, I was ten year old when Emu World started on CITV, Rod Hull Emu and bad Grotbags and poor Croc getting Bash over the Head with Grotbags hand stick, I felt sorry for Croc, i'm sure Croc kept getting headache with all that bashing, if Croc was still around today with Grotbags, I'm sure Croc would sue Grotbags for Croc abuse, lol, Rest in peace Rod Hull who fell of his roof adjusting his tv aerial and Freddie Stevenson.

I don't remember much of this series, but I think this cast included: Catrina, Hugh, Sarah Jeffs (her shirt was labeled as Sarah-Louise), Emma, Spencer, Lorraine, Anthony, Debbie/Deborah, Emmah-Louise, Aysha, Kate, Natalie, Natalie, Daniel, Hope, Sarah Stone, Ron, Anne-Louise, Joanne, Mark, Lisa, Hope, and A LOT of others I can't recall. Oh well :) EDIT: I stand corrected, the girl's name is NOT "Anne-Louise", but rather "Anne-Marie" as an earlier comment said. I rewatched Episode 4 of this Series and the name on her sleeve does indeed say Anne-Marie.

Wasn't this "There's somebody at the door"?? That's what we said, did we have it wrong?!
@VideotapeFTW

They used both "There's a knock at the door" and "There's somebody at the door" interchangeably in the early years, before eventually settling on the latter.

My Mum's nickname is Grotbag Niggler. My brother had an apron embroidered in Italy. She has her Grotbag apron. All a joke but she used to call her mother - Grizzler. It's a cycle! I dread to think what I shall be called.

My mam's name is Carole lee, it's was my sons dad (Scott) who started it. And it just stuck, she was granny grotbags to him from then on.

I wrote to Blue Peter. Got a letter from Biddy Baxter back and a postcard signed by Simon Groom, Janet Ellis and one of the others who were only on the programme a few weeks.

Both were used in the early days, but eventually one was phased out. Possibly because they quite clearly had a doorbell.

Ha! No, he said "But, Your Majesticals..." He meant "Majesty", but often got longer words wrong. :-)
