@@IshijimaKairo plot twist: the missiles and rail gun shells were filled with spaghetti but didn't know that the Captain of the Puffin was allergic to spaghetti. Hence, the Captain died and fell down on a self destruct button.
@@sukositb That's the sub crew. The fighter pilots were part of the Eursean reserve forces, having been transferred out to make way for the drone program. They're excited because it's probably the first time they actually got to fight in the war.
For me, this track acts as a counterpart to 'Hush'. Whereas hush is a sinister piece that exhibits the futuristic yet dangerous nature of the drone fighters, Enchanter 1 sounds like the soundtrack to an old WW2 film, and epitomises the perceived romance and heroism of 'the last generation of fighter pilots'.
@@rookie693 me killing them in my first playthrough of the mission using the F-4E: “WHY DID YOU MAKE ME DO THIS! YOU’RE FIGHTING TO SAVE A MASS MURDERER!! THINK GLAMROCK! THINK!!!!
Glamrock Squadron: Hey Cowboy, do you see that? Glamrock Squadron: Three Strikes is flying a Fishbed! Glamrock Squadron: ...Should we make him an honorary Glamrock member?
@@gustiwidyanta5492 I felt more than a little sorry for Glamrock Squadron. I wish their F-4s had a bit more oomph to give them an ace feel for the entire group.
Glamrock squadron was the best :c i loved them, infact when i shot them down i was super sorry :c not only cause they were cool and even cheerful, despite they were flying still with old planes, but even because F-4s are my favourite planes and as that i even love western alike things. So when i heard them the first time with "Yee-haw!Here we go,cowboys! Surround 'im!" i was super happy to fight with them, but when the captain said later "Was fun flying with you guys for one last time." i felt super sorry and i regreted to shot them down :c
If Ace Combat were a long-running anime, this tune would have played at the exciting, action-packed beginning of a feature movie depicting the DLC as an event apart from the main series involving Trigger and the rest of the main cast to establish how powerful they are.
The way I am imagine them establishing their power is just walking into a bar or local equivalent and then just taking on literally everybody there with only their fists when everybody there is grabbing whatever isn't bolted down
The fanfare at 2:19 has to be one of the greatest that I have ever heard in any of the Ace Combat soundtracks. It's bombastic, it's heroic, and it's glorious - it strikes home the line from one of the Erusian pilots: *_>_*
The enemy radios I heard, it legitimately made me second guess every decision I made, ever missile I locked on and fired, every bullet that hit a plane, then to learn later that the Eruseans were on our side (sort of) in was broken, than we killed so many of them, pilots young and experienced, pilots that respected the hell out of our squadron, pilots who we're flying in their honourz that radio message I heard of the F4, "it's been my pleasure serving you guys" then static, that one broke me, I forced myself through the mission but I genuinely felt blood on my hands at the end of it
I am a very different person when I'm in "the real world" as compared to when I'm playing games. What I'm playing games I am very chaotic and well let's just kill them all, I do not feel remorse for killing AI that had a human voicing it and whatnot, there are very few times where I can actually sympathize with AI and I wish more people could learn to do this
@@shadowivy333 the pilots didn't have much to do with the alicorn. They were just doing what erusean commanders to them, unlike the pilots who took off from the alicorn
There is no drones during this mission - only aircrafts with people in them. Man vs man. Classical fight, noting modern in it, and this music carries the same vibe. It has no modern sounds - only classical orchestral instruments.
This level made you feel for the enemy pilots, they weren’t evil villains their people like trigger, count, huxian etc I’m glad they were able to have one last fight, let us salute all aces as they fly to skies unknown
@@zjuraeventide8949 well he fights with absolutely no mercy like Cipher, Blaze and Möbius. Ace Combat Protagonists are blessed by the demon queen Razgriz after all
Damn... this really gives me John William's Star Wars soundtrack, especially at 0:37 part. The 1:04 part and the 2:17 part are so cool! I wasn't expecting the soundtrack to suddenly get my attention while dogfighting and dodging missiles everywhere! Certainly they deserved to be in the Game Awards for soundtrack.
I have my audio set up in such a way that I can quite clearly hear the music even when there is all of the missile warnings of an Arsenal bird using every single aam to try and destroy me
Absolutely! I just used the most X-wing looking fighter(wich would be the F-15E)... The X-02 was also a good pick for that with the black and orange mirroring the Resistance's very own ace, if you see who I'm talking about...
@@Shinransa Really? I've always thought the F-18 had a strong X-Wing resemblence, though I'll agree that the F-15E's mission and performance seem closer to what the X-Wing's would be (long range strike fighter).
That 1 dislike is Torres. This reminded him of the dirty boots horror that struck his white bed sheet that he just made. I actually feel bad for him about that.
Did anyone else feel a little pang of regret killing actual pilots after crushing soulless drones the entire game? It was sorta bittersweet, but Its an absolutely amazing mission.
I love going as close to the water as I can and pulling back into the sky as fast as I can, coming in from below the fighters. I love how you can dive and swoop in, come up from below, or just drive forward at maximum speed and see what happens. God I missed doing that with other fighters.
First time i did the mission it just all happened so fast and at the end i was like "I have no idea what the hell just happened. I HAVE. NO IDEA. WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED BUT I LIKED IT"
So much going on at once. The orchestration is one of the most magnificent I've ever seen. Perfectly representa the complete chaos of a dogfight. The modulations representing the shifting dynamics of battles, the sections cathing each other like aircraft getting into fights. All masterfully done.
Reminds me of the very first time in that mission when I saw enemy planes flying in formation head-on, and that each of those boxes on the HUD are meant for just our squadron. Legitimately excited me more than Long Day or Fleet Destruction did as far as mission style goes.
I think it's because you don't have to save any missiles for the arsenal bird, you can just focus on the massive furball that you are a part of rather than having to think ' do i still have enough missiles left to kill that thing? '. It means you can just enjoy tearing through all the enemy planes.
Ahh just let trigger handle it. What? Oh jet fighters don't work in space? And trigger isn't in the same universe? Mate, do you really think that will stop him?
Mimic: Talks Shit Trigger: You're talking mad shit for someone who's in Pew Pew Range..... I'm gonna end this Pilot's whole career Mimic: Surprised Pikachu FAce
not only is this an amazing track that sounds awesome, beautiful and triumphant, but it also reminds me of another great arcade flight sim, Star Wars Rogue Squadron! Friggin fantastic!!
"Okay so what about the soundtrack for this level filled of almost entirely modern planes dogfighting?" "Pretend that you're making soundtrack for a JRPG" "Huh?" "Yeah trust me it'll work"
Two days ago I remembered that this dlcs were coming out and played the mission. Didn't expect that they would ace the ost even in a simple dlc mission.
@@tomhsia4354 I completely agree. What I meant is that the DLCs are a pretty small campaign, I didn't think they would put much effort into them. I'm glad I thought wrong.
