An amazing way to spend a day during a heatwave across Washington! It was over 100F in Leavenworth but up high it topped out more mildly in the 80s. This is a Washington classic I’ve been wanting to check off, after failing to get permits for years I decided a day effort was my best bet to see it. This is a challenging hike with a lot of elevation change and hard rockier sections. There is a lot of beauty packed into these 20 or so miles though, the video takes you along on the journey but of course I can only capture so much. I hope this video encourages others to try it out or relive it if you’ve already accomplished it. This video is meant to be more of a fast paced reel rather than a long review or commentary, there’s already plenty of videos covering this area so I figured I’d just string together a simpler one so I could enjoy myself more on trail.
