I am starting back recording videos tomorrow, (it has been almost 6 months), I'll be visiting the Lone Star College campus to show off my truck, and meet the newest CDL holders!
I left the yard with my trainer yesterday, but he’s dedicated and only gonna be with him for 3 weeks then get back to the yard to get assigned to a new trainer. I hope I’ll meet you on the yard when I’ll get back to Dallas
Unfortunately, I'm not a trainer.....so I won't be able to, but I appreciate the vote of confidence in my abilities. I kinda enjoy my space, as small as it is, and am not ready to share it just yet.
Awesome! I just love the job. It just feels right, every bit of it. Waking up on my way to Atlanta area to drop off a load early tomorrow morning. You getting excited? 5 weeks right?
When I return to for Grad class I'll be doing another Luna video, especially the places easy to access around there. As far as orientation itself. Be early each day to class, be respectful, (tons of disrespect there from other students) listen and be attentive, patient (it's a bit of a slow process), and be ready for things to change at the last minute.
If you plan on leaving parked on the yard (it's a safe patrolled fenced lot, many leave cars there so anytime they return to the yard they have one), or if you have someone who can transport the car back for you. Once you finish Grad class, you will get a chance to go home, but you will be taking a load to a receiver near your house, so you will be in the tractor, not your car.
Yeah, there are times as a trainee you do something dumb, or something that your trainer just doesn't like, he/she gets a little mad with you, and the next few hours are quite awkward. Lol.......it happens in any relationship, even marital relationships......I think we have all had Looooong drives home after a fight.....hahaha.
