I guess Bc it’s like a typical shounen thing. Like in every show there’s ALWAYS that one character with screaming father issues. But imo Todoroki’s story line is quite unique and well written, so I don’t get the hate either
I don’t hate his character at all, his story line is great but I don’t like him as much as everyone else.... not saying I don’t like him at all he’s just not my favorite
I doubt these two will ever get along in the anime series and i see why todoroki doesn't like his father after what he's done to him in his childhood. No child had to go through that and i know how todoroki feel's...
You're not gonna be happy about Endeavor's redemption arc then. Somewhat spoiler I guess but not really cuz the first hints has been shown in the anime by Endeavor's breakdown after All Might's retirement but just in case, if you dont wanna know dont keep reading. So the fact that he became number 1 due to all might retiring broke the guy. And made him realize that all he's done was for nothing in the end. Breaking his family, pushing his son til inhumane limits and landing his wife in a mental ward was all for nothing. Endeavor isnt that different from Kacchan when you look at it. Both overwhelmed by their pride and desire to be the number 1, any means necessary. It warps their views. Thats why in Enji's mind, the ends justified the means. But once he realized it was all for nothing, that breaks down that world view. He sees that he destroyed his family for nothing. So he talks to his children about wanting to be a hero they can look up to, as well as a better father. Their mother also reveals that even though he hasnt visited her personally, he's been leaving her favorite flower for her at the hospital frequently. Here's the thing, she only spoke of that flower being her favorite once. On their very first date. Which at this point has been like 25ish years ago. The entire family is ranging from wanting to be a proper family, to being skeptical and outright denying him that he could ever make up for it. Fuyumi wants her family to be happy and together. Natsu (one of shoto's brothers) doesnt believe that Enji is capable of changing as well as stating he barely even knows his father due to how heavily he, fuyumi and Toya were neglected by their father and cut off from Shoto. He's the most pissed at Endeavor. As for Shoto, he wants his old man to be a proper father and a good hero. But he is not making it easy on him. Like leaving his messages on read when he wants to talk to him. So he is basically giving him shit about it because this shouldnt be an easy thing from one second to the other and cant be expected either. Shoto even pulls away from Enji when he tries to put his hand on his shoulder. Endeavor apologizes for it and doesnt do it afterwards. So he really is trying. It doesnt excuse his previous behavior. But there's a difference between forgetting what happened and allowing him to redeem himself. We'll see where he goes. But most of the family is cautiously looking forward to seeing him learn to be a normal father, as for Natsuo, he will probably come around eventually. Probably if Enji can win his wife over. As for the eldest Todoroki, he's mia. Something bad happened to him according to Natsuo, something he couldnt even bring himself to talk about. And there's the very common theory that Dabi is the long lost Todoroki brother. They have very similar hairstyles, Dabi's eyes are the same as Shoto's left eye and Endeavor's eyes, and he went out of his way to call both Shoto and Enji by their full names when he encountered them. Toya was also said to have a stronger fire power than even Endeavor. That would explain the blue flames and maybe even the scars. He could've lost control over his quirk at some point and ended up burning himself. Or maybe even done it to himself because he hated that he looked like his father. Or the scars might even be fake. I mean.. they dont really look like burn scars. They are completely symmetrical and run in perfect shapes. Burn marks dont work that way. Look at Shoto's scar. Its not in a perfect circle. Dabi's scars are too... perfect to be burn marks. And they look more similar to Deku's arms whenever he destroys them with one for all, rather than say shoto's burned face. Due to the staples on him they could very well be fake to mask his identity as a Todoroki. Same for his heir being dyed.
@@pcrassen4975 That's sweet. I like that type of character. The one that commits to his goals. He's doing his best to bury the hatchet with his family. Granted it might take a while but he at least is making little progress.

Bakugo only wanted Todoroki to use his fire power to prove he could beat him. Midoriya wanted Todoroki to use his fire power to help him. Therein lies the difference.
How do they even use some of their powers in the tournament like with fire powers there’s not a lot you can do without burning your opponent or let’s say someone has a laser quirk how are you able to use those powers without injuring your opponent too much

Endeavor used to remind of Tigerstar from Warriors because, when he was still a member of thunderclan he wanted nothing more but to become leader of his clan and even was prepared to hurt others in the process but Endeavor hurt his own family just to get what he wants. And when I mean when Tigerstar “hurt” people I mean brutally mudering others that it got so bad for his hunger and desire for power and leadership that he got killed in the process and left his family a burden on his son Brambleclaw to prove his clan mates wrong that he was nothing like his father just like how todoroki sets the line in saying he would never be anything like Endeavor. But in the end they both accept the burden they have to carry with them and while todoroki sets out to be a better hero than his father. Brambleclaw tries to be the best warrior his father should have been. Although Tigerstar and Endeavor have there differences as well were Enji makes an effort to reconnect with his family and fix his mistakes when Tigerstar doesn’t regret what he’s done and only regrets not pulling through his plan to rule the forest and shows no remorse or shame towards his actions. I’m sorry this took so long I just wanted to show the similarities towards these characters that I love from both series! UwU
I honestly think if Shouto, Bakugo, Midoriya, and Kirishima were in a famous hard rock band. It’d be Bakugo: Drums Shoto: Bass Kiroshima: Lead Guitar Midoriya: Rhythm Guitar/Singer Shouto would be cool with being part of the group and not the main center of attention
One thing that I always found hilarious when Midoriya got Shoto to use his left side he goes: Amazing But then Shoto asks him why hes still smiling and you can just see the realization of: "Oh Shoot" on his face as he remembers that hes in a fight

@@megacharizardx.2895 I know. I was just being a butt. In all honesty though, I think Endeavor being a top hero is supposed to be a testament about the hero society. They base their success more on accomplishments rather than their character. If he was a villain, it would make more sense if he was a jerk, but having a jerk be a hero kinda turns the tables.
