BDO peak was to max 2020 everyone who started afterwards is not getting what the game used to be. Open world was open world. It was exciting and there was a lot going on. Then the PvE bots and the PvE community came and destroyed the game
Yooo this is so true this why I called it the second Golden age. Seasonal and fallen God catchup wasn't bad open world was lit and there actually was plenty to do in the game!!! It's hard to believe it fell so far in 4 years!!!! Sheeeeeesh!!!

This is the main difference between korean and west mmo philosophy. In games like WoW you never say "hundreds of hours were a waste" because the idea is: the game should bring fun every moment you play, the process is important. I''ve played both games enough and I'm sad for BDO, it has great potential but keeps building a grindwall between player and fun. Dont forget guys: games are not work, games should be fan since the first minute. If you think "I dont want to do that, but I must do that for profit" - this is a bad game

Idk how to feel about the game. I've invested over 13000 hours into the game in the last 5.5 years, haven't really taken any break the whole time. For the last 3 years I've lead casual guild, I've reached 755gs, I finally moved out of my parent's house since I finished my Master's, I wanned to start mercing, get into the pvp. Got someone to take the gm position. 2 weeks later we get hit with the NW changes and everything goes down the shitter.. the thing I was looking forward to for the past 2 years is as bad as it could be. The hundreds of hours I spent grinding for my endgame accessories were a waste of time since the accessories are now worthless, the dr/evasion rework that completely changed the game and I don't even know how to adapt to it... lt is so disappointing... Every day I wish I could wake up tomorrow and all the shitty changes they've introduced in the last year would be gone. I'd rather be in a toxic war than whatever this shit is..

To be fair. The reason why everything is plummeting in price is because everybody keeps min bidding way below the lowest listed price instead of listing on top of that lowest listed price. Its our damn fault because people are impatient
It has alot to do with values though. Alot of the cheaply sold accessories went from BIS or parts of great builds and now they have no place in people endgame builds. Hence they get sold for hammers while they still have value and then bam. Really kinda the hammers that caused that but yeaaaah it's a combo effect that suuuucks!!!
Fully agree with this video and with a plethora of comments made here. The endgame currently is just totally trash and has literally become a slave grind simulator to buy hammers, to HOPEFULLY succeed on PEN Deboreka's so you can be remotely viable in this new DR meta that they forced. Just like you said, in the previous patch you did not NEED Debo's as the damage was high enough, and it just enabled super late game accuracy/evasion builds to squeeze out more AP. Now? The difference between a guy using 3 piece debo set, or 5 piece, is quite literally a free Perfume of Courage. With the way DR scales now, this bonus actually feels more mandatory than ever before. Accuracy? Who cares, Evasion is pointless because you will do no damage if you are EVA to a normal DR target. The gameplay loop of liquifying everything to grind purely for hammers is dreadful and boring. Especially as someone who's failed 12 times on PEN Debo Neck, my progression is literally hard-gated by RNG and I'm still so behind compared to others that have gotten way luckier. Not to mention the countless hours, and billions spent for old gear that WAS still viable before these changes, it's just wildly demotivating. This coupled with the continuous ruination of PvP systems (node war shit rework, open world, no creative changes for RBF, etc), it's no wonder uncapped is dead and PvP is also probably at it's peak worst state ever. Why slave for hundreds of hours to fight in uncapped content that doesn't exist aside from guild leagues? The game is in a state now where it's better to be in T1's + guild league and just play casually. They don't deserve our time or money until big changes are (hopefully) made. Dope video Vessel

Debo is basically a Perfume of Courage ALL THE TIME with the 3/5 set bonuses. I'm 7 fails on my debo neck. Honestly think I'm going to mess around with the new class for a month or so then quit. No point wasting my efforts on a broken system. I've got a PEN Turos, Ominous, and 2x PEN Distos showing my wasted efforts. Made them all myself too... that -5 dr on my distos go really well with this dr patch. 🤣 f PA. PS, i don't play meta classes so double whammy.
Maybe they should just make the gear less grindy in general? And diversify the content too, its gonna feel horrible when you waste 500 hours to get new gear no matter what they do tbh, if things weren't as grindy it wouldn't feel as bad Honestly tho getting the gear isn't that bad it's mostly enhancing as it always has been unfortunately, or at least for most of the time I've known about the game. They should make cron stones farmable, that would make the non circle grinding content worth something, like the black shrine for example or the dungeons

Even early game diversity. It was some times where we were split between choosing rosar or Kalis. Grunil or sth else? Going kzarka to have it +0 and slowly upgrading it? Is this how you get new players? Just giving them end game gear, and skipping the early game progress, content? Some careless mistakes were made there
😂 i think they should look at games like pso2 or even ff14 for boss design, right now the bosses, and really just enemies in general are so iffy, the hit boxes usually suck, there aren't any counters or anything aside from the new dosa class that im aware of it should be a normal part of gameplay, and there's no lock on feature which imo definitely hurts the boss encounters most games have that function for a reason it allows the bosses to be more intricate, look at vindictus
I mean there are spots where you don't go in circles,I think you're just tired of having to grind to see little to no rewards for your work,that's how I feel.
@@JayScottee he means he wants something aside from mindlessly grinding mobs, dungeons with bosses with mechanics, boss fights that are well thought out and unique, more dynamic encounters instead of just killing mobs. Circle or not the vast majority of the content in bdo is moving pack to pack and nuking them and onto the next pack it's fun for a while because the combat is good but there's no reason 10 years in there isn't something more thought out than that. And the few things they did introduce that aren't circles, like black shrine and attaraxion the rewards are iffy and the actual gameplay is arguably lackluster
Old players are difficult to please with node war systems updates or new goals or new balance reworks, but new players who are just getting into it can still be excited by the possibilities - for a cynical perspective, replace "excited by the possibilities" with "fooled by the promises." A new player excited to gear up and reach the desert mirage of a goal that is "one day i'll do node war & siege with the strongest players!" has surely always been more valuable to PA, than an old bitter veteran who hasn't whaled since forever and doesnt care to upgrade their gear anymore. I don't think the current state of the game is helping to change people's motivations but i don't know what would. The game's like a decade old and a lot of the old guys still here from the start, if they are feeling jaded about all of this, should probably think about the next chapter of their lives.
before DR patch i was having problem only with ranged classes giving a ton of dmg, after the patch ranged classes were dead for a few weeks, now they are using 900 ap pvp with full human dmg, munching even 800DR shield classes, is even harder to play low mobility melee classes now
This game has the best combat I have ever experienced, nothing I ever tried to play feels like it, I've been on and off since the DK release, sometimes my pauses took years, mostly it took months, i really enjoyed the fights at gahaz back in the day, with open world GvG, it was fun stuff, 1v1 or even smallscale combat, right now haven't really achieved 700 GS out of laziness, I just login to enjoy the feeling of pumping combos with my class against some monsters for 1 to 2 hours, then I gamble and blow up all the money I made just bc I don't feel like going into the debo grind, so I'm delaying it the max I can, it was usually the other way around tho, I had dreams of entering a big siege guild, but whenever I was close to reaching the minimum gs req it raised, and then it just straight up died, now I just casually grind for the feeling of it, we are really missing a lot of PvP content, or even high skill cap PvE, its a shame to waste such a good combat system, I'm going to stay around for as long as the game keeps alive, I don't think it's going to die, since not a single game is trying to kill it, nothing really fills its nieche, the thing i can do now is hope for a better future, where we actually have an incentive to get the gear, or some gear that is worth the rush to achieve
Originally, Caphras/Cron Energy did not give bonus stats. It was simply a pity system to guarantee your next enhancement, and did not even apply to PEN gear. Almost identical to the pity system they added recently. They changed it before it came to live servers to both give stats and let you put caphras into PEN gear.
Its simple they need to overhual Grunil, Heaves, Akum armor sets and all the green gear, then do some kind of futher reform stone to bring it to par with FG. End Game gear should be a rock paper scissors not just who ever has the higher AP/DP wins. I can get ganked outside of velia in a fishing spot but I can't kill the same guy with 250ap/350dp even though he plays like shit and just spams one attack because he's literally got double my DP i cant even hit him. This is why the PVE players dont want pvp, they hate pvp because its only fun in normalized. The open world pvp of this game is in the top 5 of the worst aspects of this game right next to the horrible enhancement system its all cancer. Which is what keeps new players from staying.
I mean we could have had flying donkeys but... look at what we've become. Look at how they've destroyed our game build diversity. Do they want us all to leave? Because this is how we all leave. (There is still a chance to at least fly on donkeys before the end J. Do what's right.)
Before my break I bought my Turo belt and lunar neck just so I could hit people open world. When I came back, both of those were literally a quarter of their previous worth. My TET gody is now worth 18bil after putting countless crons into it with the fail pity system. Takes roughly 6bil per hit in crons now. 3 attempts at sub 5% for PEN is worth more than the TET item itself 😂😂😂. With the free BS and overall Dr and accuracy changes, I’m up GS but down motivation. I’m chasing the debos just to have them, but I don’t think I’ll chase PEN debos until they develop some content worth min maxing for. IMO the games biggest issue is the lack of endgame content. If we had something to grind toward that had a high bar of entry, the journey would be worth it. Right now past 740 just seems like you’re chasing numbers.
after getting my gear to 312ap and 398 dp ( all pri fallen god), i stopped progressing my gear and started to do side stuffs lang crafting the forest wagon, grind for infinite pot, switched from warrior succ to dosa succ, then eventually will start progressing my advance carrack blue gear. reaching highest gear upgrade is just a min maxing gameplay so just stick to the spots your AP can cover, like gyfin whcih can gove you still 800m to 1b per hour.
End game is dead because they make it almost impossible for average players to even get to "End Game" content. I mean the gear progression is such a daunting task that most people just do Seasonal Characters when they release a ticket then just stop playing for another 3 months. This game is designed for non-working "Life Skillers" if you want the truth. When you have a player base of 13.4 Million but only about 5k People actually have enough gear to do End Game content of course it is dead. They can make two choices. Make gear attainable through completing Tasks or make RNG percentages high enough that we don't have to spend 3 months of grinding to even have a chance at a Gear Enhancement. Not everyone is Streamers who get paid to play the game. Most people are working and then spending about 5-10 hours a week on this game at most. So even if they grind 10 hours you might make enough silver to buy Cron stones to try enhancement once with sub 5% chance of enhancement per gear/per week. So if RNG God loves you then you might get one gear a month enhanced to PEN. I think I saw somewhere that it takes an average of 400 Billion Silver per each Gear to enhance all the way to PEN. I also see that 300-500 Million an hour is about average for mid level grind zones. So even with 10 hours a week you will get at most is 5 Billion a week. I am talking about average players. So around 20 Billion a Month. So if you want to buy gear at CM you will get one gear a month. So 1 year just to get to 700 GS for average players. Now we have End Game gear. I won't even dream about that because you are not geared enough to grind zones that drop those accessories so you can enhance or sell to make steady silver to even approach those that cost 150 BILLION + at Pen. I mean that is one gear at PEN per Year. I am once again talking about average players, not Wealthy Elite people like Streamers and well the filthy rich. BDO is a "Seasonal" Game for PVE and Life Skillers.

Go to the highest AP grind zones to grind enough silver to get ready for the next set of new gear coming out. While doing that everyone catches up so now the Grind Zones get crowded so you have to form Guilds so they can protect you while you grind. That is when you have mass PvP. Everyone fighting for resources. That was literally what they thought would happen. Well it kind of did when GS was around 650 GS. We had many group fights then. That is where so many Streamers became soo popular. Even non BDO players would just watch PvP content from BDO. Now the gears are soo out of reach that those PvP player base has shrunk. Now it is just Grinding with no threat. Not exciting at all and kind of destroys the MMO part of MMO...
They made even more visible that BDO is a gacha. Pity System + Pay to "test your luck" but if you pay enough they give the upgrade to you. I Used to enjoy the game a lot but now it turned a meme for me. Just waiting for the hardcore pvp server to play as a casual :D
Console here, welcome to console were the only excitement we get is 2 seconds of enhancement trying and failing at pen . The rest of the game is dead for us. Remember when a game was considered dead if no content released in a 3 month period. All players would leave the game. Console 3+ years no content. Sorc on pc since 2016 (medi update, glorius days) beta Console player and still a sorc. Eu is dead, the t1 scene is the only fun pvp but then again shitting on new players isnt fun in a way. I stopped grinding at all when i read the sorc discord with the dr meta, we are blessed with old nw system but this will change soon (10 july i think) so i sit here and know the next 6month will be just no fun Its brutal to finde any motivation to play, all the old pvp friends left, no open world pvp and barely any rbf (keep in minde the only pvp options we have is nw,rbf and ba) I cant quit the game cuz of 2 reasons, i put to much energy and money into it (yes i whaled allot, its eu and we do that allot) and im to addicted to this game The game went from relaxing game with a big competitive pvp to a dead solo rushed pve experience that feels like doing circles, and we dont even have pc changes yet

Gear diversity is not the issue. Back when renown released, getting 265/269ap was also the only thing to do, everyone was DPS and raced toward getting high AP asap. Some memed yes, but most did this. You dont have any powercreep nowadays though. No reason to even get debos. 730gs, 760gs, nobody cares. Repackaged content, no pvp, useless longass grinds for nothing, the game caters to early and midgame plebs. gg.
They should do away with accessories destroying/going down and armor going down. Then make it so there is a hardcap PVP that is just out of season range. Of course all the gearlets will cry and say this is a bad idea cause they can't win without that HUGE gear advantage.
New classes aren't content for most players. Debo's are nothing but a cron stone sink. Loml 2 will be doa for most players. So what is there coming to keep players? The combat has taken bdo as far as it can go. Streamers are just grinding to support future cron stone sinks and terrible casino upgrades.. Feel bad for them that PA has let them down.
I use an Orkinrad.. I can't be assed to upgrade it. Either I don't care or I don't want to make a debo, I don't know. Its just not in me anymore to push beyond this.
I will now give yoy my hot take. Evasion has 0 place in bdo, same with accuracy. It is live action combat, you should dodge your opponents abd mobs should dodge you in an organic way through inputs. Not a dice roll. I love dice rolls in games like dnd inspired and morrowind. But they arent live action gameplay. DR makes some sense, armor limit damage, simple and immersive concept. But the idea a ninja dodge a metear by afk standing still duento dice rolls is a meme. However, I agree with the game needing diversity. You can build much diversity with an ap and dr focus. Now, how would I not screw over those who invested. Simple. A month you can swap. You can trade your evasion for dr or ap equivalents. Not ideal, but the best approach imo.
Im at 306 ap 322 dp succ but I can't convince myself going to 380 dp since I don"t see the purpose of going to grind in areas where you get about the same amount of trash as if you grind for elvia, I played the game for 2 months straight coming from a 1 year hiatus and was on and off before I left last year. The reason Im not convinced is that PA gave a lot of free stuff like starting the free Pen armor the 27 billion J hammer the fre tet and pen weapon of our choice. It makes me want take it and just grin for a Pen weapon to fuse into a Sovereign and not focus on my armor.
I was enjoying your video thorougly until you got to the PVP part. I mean, what we should really take into consideration when talking about PVP in BDO? Cause from my perspective, massive PvP is the only fun part of the whole thing and even that seems unnaffected by the current changes in the game. The only place i see gear being relevant is in Open World PVP wich is thrash and Pearl Abyss is solely trying to get rid of those asap because they know how toxic that environment is for a new player (wich is absolute correct). Altought, they are still giving us PvP content (wich is capped and equilibrate so it's purely based in matchup and playerskill), so where the argument of "The pvp inst fun anymore" is reliying on? Gosh if you used to kill strikers and ninjas that much easier cause you used a accuracy acessory (wich was needed for PvP only in most cases), bingo, you don't need them anymore, just switch up to your actual gear and go play the game, cause the major scenario of the things dind't change absolutely a thing. That's my considerations for your PvP arguments only. Altought, nice video, really got my attention, i'll like and subscribe cause i wanna see more of what you got to say.

The end game is pretty boring man. I’m grinding like crazy to get enough sliver to tap my Debo belt and earring before the hammers go away!!! I don’t wanna go through trying to enhance those with crons that’s a nightmare! I’ve been wondering what the game is gonna be like when hammers are gone like the people who have V debos are gonna be so much farther ahead of everyone else. Console won’t be getting the rings for a really long time but I hope they have another hammer event when they do come out
it was never truely about grinding for gear. it was the tree spirit belt then it was shultz then basi then tung now its debo. nothing has changed but the core of the game.... pvp thats what u grinded for. now thats its changed and has capped no freedom within the sytem like before. so the end game is dead. there alot new things in the game they though would help but to na players they dont like it. Na wants the smoke. KR is grind grind grind for gear.

Open World wars should came back. Guild wars should came back. We want to be able to use our gear. I am 755 gs nearly end game player and all i can do in game is solare which is capped 620 gs. All the pvp contend is capped.?
BDOs skinner box system is trash and has an extreme lack of imagination. They are devoid of creativity. The games combat is it's only saving grace, but that's falling apart for me after so many years of playing. Sad to say, but I'm fully done with this game. Boring skinner box mechanics and I can't do it anymore.
As soon as I got into debo grind, I kinda lost interest in the game. It feels pointless considering there's no content to challenge yourself. PvP is also dead which is not helping at all😂

ahh can someone explain to me how he has 330ap? I have triple pen BS, pen debo neck and belt, tet disto, tet debo earring and 2 tet debo rings and im sitting at 325ap.
u mentioned triple pen BS. that means u got pen blackstar sub-weapon equipped which is essentially a kutum. if you have a c20 pen nouver instead, that's +13 ap
