@CrimsonS131 a zombie apocalypse in the modern world with nukes impossible but hey let it rain nukes on humans and the undead causing billions of deaths 💀😂😂😂
Was sad to see her leave the show, but this segment is a reality for many civilians and veterans transitioning out. A lot of people get into jobs such as law enforcement and firefighting but decide for one reason or another that it’s not for them and resign before it’s too late. Massive respect to her character for realizing this on her own.
@@b.b.s7545 You probably got the definition of Mary Sue wrong. As a police officer Chen is better than Barnes, because as Bradford said, they are not dealing with enemy combatant here.
My cousin who is a cop, says it was very hard to transition. Some people it takes years, but sadly we treat our vets bad, so they sometimes never fully recover.
My brother was Vietnam vet, with two combat tours with the Marines. He later joined the LASD. He served for over 30 years. I always assumed he was fine. But he rarely talked about it, except little snippets when we were watching a movie or something.
Thank you for your service. Out of curiosity, what stereotype? Bradford? Or the new recruit that resigned? I’m legitimately curious, as I haven’t seen this trope you’re speaking of before.
@@jasonfrancese8359 The new recruit resigning because she can't find peace, "find herself" if she is still in a uniform. There are those out there like that but it has become such a thing, such an easy stamp stereo type perpetuated by cinema that it is becoming a disgusting insult for a lot of us. I actually became aware of this clip because it made some rounds in one of my veteran groups with a "oh look they rubber stamped us again" label. Though the tag was not near as nicely put.
Uhhhh, this rattles Tim! And it definitely shows what kind of good person he is! We love him, don't we?! He needs to understand that he's past this stage because he's letting sunshine in already... Like aehmmm... la Luce... The sunshine bringer... ;D Might be a new record though that he has to let go of his rook the first day... Might turn to The Best Rookie you've ever trained to talk about it 😜, Tim? The good and sensitive Lucy might help ya... 😱 Henry... Nooooo... Please let him be okay, I so like him and Abigail! Though i have to admit the arc is really interesting. Thump's up for the Rookie writers, telling the good stories :))
I hate when they introduce these characters and act like they were some kind of super soldier in service, and in reality they probably were average. No way in hell she’s a breacher in the 82nd when they got super humans there.
So she quits a good job 1) Benefits 2) friends she could make 3) people who tried out and wanted to make it. But didn't 4). Not going to find a better job with that kind of Benefits 5) probably a good paycheck to start 6) All the schooling. The GI bill wasted. 7) parents and friends pulling for her. And (. Praying for her).
